“THANK YOU TO WHOMEVER BROUGHT BACK THE BREAKFAST! They discontinued it for a bit where every entree had chorizo and eggs. Thanks for bringing back Mt. Apollo and steak & eggs because we don’t always have time to sit in a diner for this type of breakfast. Awesome service. First time being asked to give a review and we come here so often and for a long time and didn’t think of it or we would have done it sooner.“
“Chef Dave amazed us with his incredible menu. Food and service were flawless. This has been on our bucket list for a while, and it did not disappoint! Shout out to Dayton in the kitchen and Jonathan, our server! Thanks for a memorable experience!“
“I'm in town visiting with my mom and we brought our dogs. From the moment we walked up we were greeted with so much enthusiasm for our pups! The service was excellent from every staff member we interacted with, the patio seating with the fire going was perfect, and the food was delicious! The biscuits and gravy meal was so much food too! I can't say enough wonderful things about this place.“
“Came in to the state for business, found this place on Google Maps and was grateful we did because everything was outstanding.Sat quickly, service was top notch from the tall guy with a beard, seriously you know he’s happy to help and talk to guests and you can see it. Coffee never ran out, they have raw sugar and gave a full cup of real cream not the gross oily tiny foil cups and food came out quick as well. My gosh was it good. Potatoes ???, omelette same and cinnamon roll pancakes ?Now if we ever come to SLC area again we know where we’re coming to eat. Thanks for the great experience which is becoming rarer these days“
“The steak salad here is life changing. I’m not ready to declare it the best steak I’ve ever had, but it is without a doubt the best “add steak to your xxx” I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, the amazing flavor and tenderness of a skirt steak but the leanness of…something leaner, fillet? Really good, we’ll be back. The crispy artichoke side dish was also a stand out, I’d order that again as well.“
“Cozy spot and really good food. This spot has so many delicious choices it was hard to decide what to eat. I had the portobello mushroom sammy and my friend got the pot pie. Both were very good. The pot pie came with veggies and a roll so was a nice meal. The sandwich including the bread had amazing flavor. We each had a dessert, I had the peanut butter brownie and my friend had the mint brownie which were both very good. I highly recommend this place!“
“Food was enough with portions and the flavor was enough. Not over powering and didn't have to add more. Will be going again. We sat out on the patio which had a mesh to keep bugs and wind out but still be able to see the roads.Had the Reuben and salad. Not a salad girl but dang this was amazing. Will go again soon“
“We had a great time at White Horse aside from the hostess who before we even sat at the table told us the table was double booked and we had until 7pm before the next group came in this was 5:30 and she didn't do anything but point to the table we were sitting at. Our server was fantastic, food was phenomenal and I loved the layout of the building. We will be back with hopefully a more friendly hostess next time.“
“Loved this place! The environment is awesome, we sat downstairs so it was a little quieter but still vibrant. Would highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, wagyu burger, and bolognese! Will definitely be back.Kid-friendliness: It’s a bar, no kids allowed“
“We came here for brunch on a Sunday. There was no wait to get a table but the service was not particularly fast. The food was quite good but overall too salty - all three dishes we ordered. I think it was the potatoes that had been over salted as we all had those but they totally overwhelmed the dish. I had the short rib hash. My dad had the short rib Benedict. My husband had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Generally I love the food at this place and this may have just been a bad day. Their Bloody Mary’s are fantastic. We also had the apple tart and the peanut butter s’more. The apple tart was fantastic. The peanut butter s’more was pretty good but the peanut butter cookie base barely tasted like peanut butter. Also their ketchup is smoked which is very tasty, but since the potatoes were already way too salty none of us really ate any.Parking: The closest parking is on the street or in a garage. Both are paid.“
“I frequently give 4's when it's great food because there's usually something that could be better. This is the best burger and fries I've ever had out, and I'm so bummed I've never eaten here before. Atmosphere is great and LOUD to the point that you're yelling at each other to be heard“
“I rank hard because I have been blessed to see much in terms of food... By local standards it is on the top. The food is well presented, it has a flair across each dish, and it tasty! I do not live on SL, I am on my second day of a weekend here; it seems to be one more of those places you need to look for, but you won't regret finding it. Hands down!“
“We loved the Papa. We're big fennel sausage fans. The peppers and cheese reminded us all of a Philly cheese steak. We got the meatball too and it was just as amazing, maybe even better. The marcato sauce was really good, but both stromboli were flavorful and juicy enough without it. The dough and all the ingredients were so fresh.“
“We recently attended a candle-light concert. The event space felt cozy and intimate and really gave us the opportunity to feel like we were right there near the performers. The cafe was open and we really enjoyed the treats and snacks. The owners were on site that night and Brittany was so kind and hospitable. We will definitely return for more concerts in the future!“
“A must-try fine dining experience in Salt Lake city. Everything was great. Wasn't one thing I didn't enjoy eating or drinking. The service is fantastic and you can tell that a lot goes into the meals. I did the 7 course with beverage pairing (not wine) which included amuse bouche, bread, salad, 4 mains, 2 desserts and 5 drinks. Highlights of the meal were the duck pasta and the lamb. I also really enjoyed the olive oil cake and the drinks. They do have a vegetarian menu (but I didn't get the opportunity to try it).“
“A friend and I were seated within 20 minutes on St. Patrick’s Day around 12pm. We typically wait an hour for brunch on a normal Sunday in SLC, so to get that kind of luck on a holiday was unreal!! The service in general was just lovely. Food portions are surprisingly large and everything had so much flavor. We order mimosas and the spiced vodka mule drink and loved every minute ??Parking: The lot is behind the restaurant, off the street, but there are only about 20 spots so you just kind of wait it out until someone leaves and you can take there spot. Otherwise you’d probably have to park down the block.“
“Enjoyed my first trip here. Had a big rowdy group which can be tough but they kept us well fed and drank. Had tuna and oyster apps, would do again. Sea bass was fantastic. Had a bite of pasta, can't remember the name but also fantastic.“
“I popped in here with my Husband for an early dinner. I was SOOO hungry! Good location with lots of fun shops and restaurants nearby. I forgot to get a picture. The food was fresh and yummy!!!! Good way to get your veggies in and eat something that’s healthier! So good!“
“Don't let the crowd at the door scare you off from enjoying the Porcupine Pub & Grille food! We went twice on a Friday and Saturday night with 4 people the first night and 8 people the next night. We were seated pretty quickly considering they don't take reservations. The waiter, Kris, was a fast, accurate and an attentive server. I recommend the Porcupine Pilsner, great taste, easy to down. The food portions are huge. In spite of that, we ordered the Nachos both nights. It was stacked high, multilayer, with great cheese pull. Nice flavor, not boring! I had the massive Baby Back Ribs, tender meat, great flavor. It came with a flavorful salad featuring oranges. The 2nd night, I had the Poblano Steak. Steak had a lot of flavor and the pasta was tasty and filling. So filling I had to take some home! Another person loved the Cherry BBQ Salmon that had a large portion of Salmon. Still others had the hot wings, traditional, and found them delious.“
“Very tasty slightly more oily than average food. Butter gives the sauce and ingredients that super smooth taste to the pasta dishes. The mix of sausage and mushroom is blended wonderfully with spices to give it am excellent taste to the palette. Attentive and friendly service. Good atmosphere. Paintings on wall are from a local artist.Parking: Back parking lot. Entrance from street is narrow and for a first timer here, hard to spot in the night.“
“Awesome experience Veronica our server was very helpful and served with a smile. The food was served warm and was delicious. The stuffed French toast was a hit. I recommend this location as our server Veronica went out of her way for us to have a great experience. Kudos to the kitchen and the hostess as well everyone made us feel welcome!- visiting from Phoenix“
“Second time we've been in. Friendly staff. Food is great. Jambalaya, gumbo salmon, fettuccine all great options. Great portions. Parking lot is fairly limited but paid street parking is available.Vegetarian options: Veggie burger and salads, pasta with noeat available same with pizza.“
“I had crab cake Benedict and it was delicious. the service was great. The female waitress was able to give us our check when my husband change his mind and wanted dessert. The waitress said she didn't mind and went to include the cake my husband wanted.“
“9 of us walked in last minute for dinner and staff was super quick to get our food out. Quality was great and loved that everything was fresh. The 2 staff working were super friendly and had a smile the whole time. Thabk you for great service.“
“One of the best cheese steaks I've had. Very good service, the counter person took the time to explain things to me about their different sandwiches/options. On top of them being very friendly they got my sandwich done very quickly. Would strongly “
“Such a cute little unexpected place in an industrial area! I was so impressed with Rose Canyon Deli. Everyone working was extremely friendly and made me feel so welcome. Service was quick and everything was super clean. The food was so delicious, and the pricing was so reasonable! I wish i had excuses to come here more often, because it was so good. As customers were leaving, I kept hearing "see you tomorrow" "see you next week" etc, and it's no surprise, because this no frills little deli was perfect.“
“WOW! I've had some good burgers, but this may have been the best one yet! GREAT flavor, and a good size burger at that. The queso fries are definitely in the top 3 best queso fries I've ever had. I highly recommend grabbing some food here.“
“The place was packed and the food was delicious. Definitely on the higher price range but tasty and plenty. Only issue I had was I ordered some ravioli and requested extra mushrooms and shrimp. Didn’t expect to have a whole scoop of pene pasta in the plate. Felt like it was there to make the portion seem bigger. Never have I ever had two kinds of pasta in one plate before. On the bright side both pastas were cooked correctly and there was enough sauce for both ?“
“This location is located on the side of a busy side street on the edge of a big building. Parking is available on the side of the street. The cafe is pretty small, but there are many little tables and booths to fit quite a bit of people. It has that classic diner vibe because the tables and the inside are pretty old.I ordered The Big Breakfast. Normally when I go to breakfast or brunch, I choose lunch items over breakfast items on the menu, however, just for Penny Ann's I chose the classic breakfast. Their HEAVENLY HOT CAKES are the only kind of pancakes I actually enjoy and love! Something about their recipe is actually so good! I opted for their hot cakes over my usual breakfast burrito. Their hot cakes are light, airy, and buttery! The service was quick and accurate even though it was busy! The waitresses seemed very experienced and just two waitresses kept the whole place running with no complaints the day I came in. If you're not a giant breakfast fan, I would suggest trying Penny Ann's Heavenly Hot Cakes because even I (not a breakfast foods fan) enjoyed them and would come back to get more if I am ever craving breakfast foods!“
“We came for a brunch with friends and were not disappointed. Service was friendly and the food was good, although perhaps not life changing. Atmosphere was good although a bit crowded. Despite the crowd we did not feel rushed by the waiter to leave when we finished our meal, which was nice.If you haven’t, do try the limeade! They have two locations, and one is busier than the other (Salt Lake City location is the busier of the two). If you plan on going on a Saturday or Sunday, expect there to be a wait. As is the case with most brunch locations in Salt Lake unfortunately. We felt the prices were reasonable for the food we were receiving. Not a bad place to check out!“
“Grid City is one of my favor places in town. Their beers and seltzers are fantastic and their food is amazing. Not your typical bar food. Good quality, great flavor, many options. I bring friends and clients here all the time and everyone loves it. The staff are always friendly and on top of things. I recommend this to anyone and everyone…over 21.“
“Absolutely amazing. Ambiance is perfect, especially the patio seating. Perfect size where you're not the only people dining but there's not a massive crowd and you can't hear yourself think. Food is DIVINE. We were blown away by the appetizers. Sambal wings 10/10, paired with a sesame dressing and the best coleslaw. Mac and cheese 10/10, literally took me to heaven. Topped with fried onions. Perfect. Gambas, 10/10. Shrimp, chili, garlic served with naan bread. Most excellent combination. All of the servings were very generous!!“
“Been going here for years. The seasonal menu and cocktails always make for a nice refresh. Cauliflower, pork shank, fried chicken, biscuits, mushrooms, hamachi, any of the cocktails. Anything on the menu is delish. Service is great. Wine menu is solid. Usually can swing in and can get bar seating without reservations.“
“Some of the best chicken in Utah. Huge portions sizes, amazing flavor. I would recommend ordering online in advance and showing up 5-10 mins after it says your food will be ready. They get super busy. There is outdoor seating, but on nice days it fills up quickly.“
“We recently dined at Emigration Brewing and had an excellent experience. We highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, impeccable service, and charming ambiance. We had the pleasure of trying their Canyon pizza, Halibut dish, Hefeweizen beer, BlackBerry sour cocktail, and Creme brûlée for dessert, all of which were outstanding. The food was top-notch, with each dish showcasing fresh ingredients and expert preparation. The Canyon pizza was flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the Halibut was tender and flavorful. The drinks, including the Hefeweizen and BlackBerry sour, were refreshing and complemented our meal perfectly. The service was also exceptional, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. We do recommend making a reservation in advance, as we didn't have one and had to wait for a while. It seems that the restaurant prefers reservations to ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests.Overall, Emigration Brewing exceeded our expectations with its great food, service, and ambiance. If we are ever in town again, we will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others looking for a fantastic dining experience.Vegetarian options: Lots of salads and pizza as well as a vegetarian entree item.Parking: Abundant parking“
“We made a reservation for the speakeasy underneath the Bodega, called The Rest - and it was a real treat. You walk into the Bodega, which is its own spot for drinks and light food - and the bartender there will let you in a locked door and direct you down to the speakeasy - where you are met with a different host and a whole food and extensive drink menu. Dark, fun, great service. Good drinks, good food - and a very fun atmosphere - this is definitely worth checking out!“
“seriously, my favorite bar in all of Salt Lake! Prices and food are impressive! the service is quick and the staff is friendly and attentive! as a young single gal, there’s not many bars that i feel safe at enough to come alone but big willies is one of them! they also have a spacious patio and an abundance of pool tables! over all just a great place to have good drinks by yourself or with a group of friends! Special shout-out to hannah and camille! they’re the absolute best and always makes sure i’m taken care of !!!“
“The service was amazing! My daughter and I can not decide on what to get. So we ordered two different options in split it. Both options were excellent! Cozy atmosphere. Best roast beef sandwich I have ever had. The turkey cranberry on rye was amazing as well. I think I would prefer this one cold though. It was all Wonderful!!“
“My friend and I were looking for somewhere with a patio to have a drink and an appetizer for what felt like the first warm day in a long time. The patio was perfect and the waiter offered and let me borrow their sunglasses as I had forgotten mine and was facing the setting sun. Thought that was above and beyond service and deserved to be mentioned! Thank you!“
“A amazing spot for working parents! My sons (1 & 3) spent four hours of nonstop playing which means I had four hours of non-interrupted work time. There are so many toys they didn't even squabble over who had what. Not to mention they have yummy food and drinks they will deliver straight to you. The coffee was top notch, toys were clean and well kept. What a brilliant idea. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough.“
“First off Sourdough and pastries won James beard nominee, and the taste reflects that consistently!Coffee and ambiance are amazing as well, beautiful gardens and interior design, great beans from Idle Hands Roasting in SLC.Execution on drinks is nice, I had a mocha, they made their own chocolate, and all flavorings in house, this mocha was one of the best I’ve had.Overall my drink was made well, with temperature, milk consistency, and espresso flavor. 10/10.Service was lovely, bread to take home, and some toast with house made butter and jelly, hard to beat!Definitely try it, then get dinner upstairs at night! Come early for pastries as they often sell out early :)Dietary restrictions: Very accomadating“
“Sugar Space's pop-up playhouse in the art warehouse is an absolute hit with little ones! The fun-filled atmosphere and imaginative space make it a perfect spot for kids to explore and play. Highly recommend for a delightful outing with the family!“
“The server was very helpful in helping us decide what to get. I got the falafel salad which was very flavorful, the falafel was fresh, not greasy. Thank you for the vegan option. The Golden Spike hefeweizen was also refreshing and easy to go down.Vegetarian options: The falafels salad is vegan. They also have a black bean burger but I'm not sure if it's vegan. They also have a beyond burger“
“The food was underwhelming, I expected more for the price. It was overly salty and stodgy for my liking. There staff were friendly and helpful with allergies. The atmosphere was niceDietary restrictions: The chef was able to advice on my allergies“
“Fun place with a swanky but welcoming vibe. The service was fantastic. The food and drinks were a bit hit and miss. The miso fried chicken and the grilled cheese were great but I was unimpressed by the sloppy Joe and a couple of the cocktails were pretty average. The fried banana dessert was fantastic. Some of the tables are a bit odd and uncomfortable (the tall couches in the back were fun but not at all practical). Overall it was a very enjoyable evening but the price tag was up there (close to $50 a person after tax and tip) and I think they need to refine a few menu items.“
“Everything I've tried so far was great the food was fantastic it's been awhile since I've been back due to inflation but the poutine in my mouth has been my addiction since I came here. But sadly they closed I wish they were still up and“
“I’ve driven past this bar for a while and never thought to stop in. Yesterday I had my chance and was impressed. They have a fenced/shaded dog friendly patio which is super cool and excites me to come back with mine. The staff is on top of it and super friendly. We had multiple staff make sure we were taken care of the entire time. Drinks were great. Food came out very fast and was quite good. It’s bar food so I’m not going to bash too much. The Cuban was good, not too dry, well seasoned but not authentic. The buffalo chicken salad was also great with bleu cheese. The serving of chicken was very healthy considering the cost. Fries were on point and served with fry sauce. They do specifically have a vegan menu that they get a lot praise for, I’ll have to add to my review on my next visit.I’d absolutely come back here. Super friendly place.Vegetarian options: Vegan menu“
“Enjoyed breakfast here about 10am on a Tuesday morning. It’s spring break and when we arrived about 4 tables were full but when we left nearly the entire dining room was full. Our server was excellent, food was delicious, although portions seemed a bit small for the price.Would eat here again.“
“i love eating here! my fiance and i come almost every day. the service is impeccable, the staff is all very very kind and professional, and the food is amazing! everything is very reasonably priced. one of my favorites is their ham and brie cheese sandwich with some fries!“
“Visit apollo burger today and without a doubt the best place. The chips are very crispy and delicious and the girls at the counter are incredible and especially Krista with a beautiful smile served me without a doubt we will visit this place again“
