“I'm not usually a Mexican food fan but this was amazing! I ordered the chicken burritos. They were large and just stuffed with meat. We had home made guacamole that was out of this world! Our server was amazing. Not a fan of the parking/road this restaurant is on. Drive cautious.Parking: Drive carefully when going to this restaurant. Parking can be challenging as well as the traffic around this busy place.“
“Amazing food. Big portions. Really authentic. Handmade tortillas and great salsa and the Aguas frescas are so fresh and refreshing. I had the pork ribs with green sauce, rice and beans, and it came with four handmade tortillas. The choices rellenos were the best I've had. Definitely recommend this place. Our waitress was also really sweet. I will definitely go back“
“This is the best place I found as a replacement for Hector’s, my long time go to for delicious, authentic, reasonably priced Mexican food. Viva Emiliano’s!I can’t say enough good things: The burritos are large and packed with exactly what you would hope for. the sauces are wonderful, for example, the green salsa has fresh cilantro in it. It hasn’t been poured out of bottle. Be sure to ask for the pickled carrots with jalapeño as a condiment!Great location for sugarhouse and Millcreek folks, as well as south Salt Lake!“
“Best damn jueves rancheros I've had! We spent a coupla nights on the road between MT and Phoenix at the neighboring KOA and tired of our motorhome meals. Next visit we'll ditch our "home-cooked" meals for Nico's cuisine. Friendly waitress, atmosphere is what it is ... maybe not a 5 but the overall 5 rating is deserved. My only concern is once the nearby housing is finished will anyone be able to get a table?“
“This was a "Sweet Sixteen" party for our granddaughter with about 30 guests. The facility was an excellent place to hold any party with guests up to 50. It was still decorated for the Christmas Holidays and with the birthday additions, it was a perfect place to hold our celebration. Everyone had a grand time. Of course, since it is a party facility owned by the Red Iguana Restaurant, how can you say anything wouldn't be top notch?“
“This place has the best tostadas in the city. By tostadas, I mean the plain, flat, tortilla shells that you can pile on beans, cuerritos, or ground beef on. Some people think you can buy tosadas at your local supermarket, but those are not authentic, and they do not compare.“
“The Birria tacos are authentic and amazing. I prefer the soft shell, but both are good. The taste is outstanding. I love that they use this Birria beef and just stick with it and nothing else. I will be going back here for Carnitas and Al Pastor. If you do not like any spice at all, this place is not for you. If you like some spice to quite a bit of spice, you will LOVE it!. The kitchen was incredibly clean, the employee was wonderful, kind, helpful and the eating area was spotless. This is a must!Parking: It is in a very small strip all next to a cycle and has plenty of parking.“
“I have nothing but good things to say about Alberto’s. I often forget to eat due to the stress of being alive and there is nothing better than sinking my teeth in to their breakfast burritos. Any of their burritos for that matter. But the mini bean and cheese is like half a pound and it’s $1.99. Their beans in general just go so so hard. If I were you I’d get the egg, potato, and cheese…WITH beans. Get a Diet Coke too. That’s how you make a good thing even better.“
“Mi Buena Vida has the kindest staff that truly understands the menu and sabores. Thank you for the knowledge that y'all present to your guests. The bowls of pozole are full of warmth and notes of spiced flavor! All the unique fixings for blending.Gorgeous postres, deserts with sweet memories.“
“This place has pretty good food. Been here twice. Once on a Saturday for dinner and a Friday for lunch. Saturday was super packed. The wait was two hours. The food was fantastic. The place was super loud because it was super crowded. We went with a party of eight and the space on the table was very limited. I had to send away some of my dishes because they didn’t fit on the table, but their customer service is amazing, the food on the Saturday was amazing. The tortillas were perfectly warm, but the amount of the food is not enough. The first time I got the Molcajete, which had Carne Asada chicken shrimp, a piece of cheese and some jalapeños. The amount of carne asada was super tiny. Iliterally left hungry . on Monday, I decided to order the parillada thinking that would give me more Carne Asada, but it was the same very little Carne Asada. I mean it was literally literally like a 2 x 2 piece of meat two pieces one for myself and one for the person who was sharing the plate with me the chicken was a little more. Don’t order the Horchata. They don’t make it fresh. I think it’s powder. The Carne Asada taste absolutely incredible. Their beans are incredible. The flavors are incredible. I just wish they would give more meat for the price that they charge. Very very small portions for dishes that should feed two.“
“This Mexican sea food is delicious; their ceviche tastes so fresh. I wouldn't have thought it was going to be this delicious. Their churros taste so fresh too, not like the frozen ones. Great customer service, and the place looks clean and is nice inside.“
“Best horchata in SLC! My husband and I were delighted to eat here. We got the chile réglenos, which were amazing! The owners also came out to chat with us and were so sweet and down to earth. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here.“
“I ordered the strawberry horchata, ramen, and a carne asada taco. The horchata and ramen were interesting options that I don't see typically see at a taco place. The strawberry horchata tasted like strawberry milk with a pinch of cinnamon... It was okay. The ramen tasted like instant ramen noodles from Maru-Chan was dropped in a bowl of beef stew.... The taco tasted pretty good though.I'd probably use the broth of the ramen as a type of sauce if I ordered it for take out instead of dining in.“
“Excellent authentic Mexican food. Service was spectacular. Didn't catch the name of the gentleman that helped us but he did an exceptional job. Small hick up on my order and he fixed immediately plus gave me a churo for the wait. Not to many places have service like that. Thanks again from “
“We were supposed to eat at the deli, but it was closed, so we came here. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere with the music, and the food is GOOD! The freshness of tacos is a tasty bite, and the loaded chicken burrito (with the salsa) . . . yum. We loved it so much that we've come a few times, and I'm already trying to find an excuse to 'be in the neighborhood,' so I can have another round. Also, guava Jurritos. Seriously, do your tummy a favor; you won't regret it.“
“This is a great pace to eat. A few month ago I was at the Park in Rose Park and this incredible scent was in the air. After the game my wife daughter and I went looking for it and El Senor Pollo on 700 N just opened up. It was so good a buddy went the next week. Then, unfortunately, I forgot about. In January I went carnivore for the month and remembered this place is close to work. I got a whole chicken and loved it. Great food, great service. I’m making this a weekly lunch.Try the Churros. They are fantastic.“
“Now how do you rate a place that you've had the opportunity to eat at over the last 40 years. At the current time of writing this I'm very happy and grateful it's still here. The food is good ,the portions are awesome and the reminds me of better times. It's not salty , the food is close as your going to get to for the amount your money is going to pay. I always do the smother of three on the chicken burritos smothered with cheese on fries and extra Verde. It's still homey for a hole in the wall and at the moment will give most Mexican restaurants a run for its money ,portion and quality. Hospitality has never been short on this place for sure..“
“Upon entry of the building, the group I was with was greeted by warm welcoming staff. All of us enjoyed our food and the follow up from our server was professional. We were very well taken care of. Personal discretion strongly suggests a solid recommendation for anyone interested.“
“My husband and I dined at House of corn at its new location off 200 South in Salt Lake City. The food is fabulous! We will go there again. I had the battleship Pastore style taco - They did not skimp on the fresh pineapple. The parking spaces right in front of the restaurant and in the middle of the lot seem to be free of charge. But many of the edge spaces appear to be paid parking spots. That could be a drawback for the restaurant’s future success. The restaurant is located on the south end of the 7-Eleven.Vegetarian options: I’m sure one could order a meatless option.Dietary restrictions: The options can be ordered to fit a vegetarian, dairy-free, and/or gluten free diet.Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly set-up.“
“Love this place! The tacos are amazing and the sauces are killer. Super nice staff also. Would recommend!Parking: Not a lot of spots for the multiple businesses here but most of the time parking is not an issue. Will likely be full right at lunch time“
“Tasty tacos...tons of meat options but my favorite is the tripas ?❤️??Parking: In the Smith's parking lot...Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid food options...Wheelchair accessibility: It's a flat parking lot very little thru traffic...“

“The owner is a distant cousin, Mexican and Peruvian, and the best carnitas cake with its fries and, in the cold, a perfectly good coffee. The owner is a distant cousin, Mexican and Peruvian, and the best carnitas cake with its fries and, in the cold, a perfectly good coffee.“
“This has been one of those places I've passed by a million times just being in the area and today was the day I stopped in. The owner recommended peppers and onions in the carne asada quesadilla with some red sauce mixed with a bit of cream and it was ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! Thank you for the hospitality and wonderful food. I'm excited to come back and try more. 5/5 stars“
“We used to hit virg's way back in the late 80s for the epic fish and chips. Was a small 2 table place with 1 guy behind the counter making his city famous fish and chips. Fast forward we thought we would see how this small shop is doing, and wad presently surprised. Nice and busy cafe, find your own table. Service was very quick, and with top notch attitude. Atmosphere wad pleasant, and good came quick to our surprise how busy they were. We were a little disappointed on the slightly burned toast bacon and the eggs not quite over medium. But that did not hamper our experience. We will be going back and trying again, may of just been a 1 off day, but we quite enjoyed our outing, even though it's been 40 years since our last visit.“
“Great place for our family of 20 to enjoy all different foods of our own preference in a relaxed atmosphere and convenient location. Loved the corn Hole game outside. Thank you for having reservations available so we could get two king tables next to each other accommodating our large group! Would recommend!“
“Tacos are delicious. I did fish and short rib. Minor complaint would be short rib should be cut as it's very difficult to eat. Otherwise I would recommend as the value is great and service was quick. There is seating available inside with a lot of drinks options that I forgot to take a photo of. Simple decor but comfortable enough for this type of joint.“
“I came here today. I've seen this restaurant before, but I thought it was like Betos or other Mexican/American restaurants around the area. It I was surprised. It is a little outdated but clean. We ordered a molcajete dish . It was actually really good accompanied by fresh homemade corn tortillas . The meat was toasty and juicy, salsa chile was spicy but really good ( keeping in mind chile salsa should be spicy or it would be salsa) really good. It's definitely better than el Paisa Gril !!!“
“My husband randomly chose this place and it is incredibly good. Doesn't look like anything from the outside but the food is amazing. The staff was friendly, brought the food out quickly and everything we ordered was a 10. We got a birria plate and chimichanga to share plus a churro. So so good. I couldn't take pictures quick enough. Can't wait to come back.“
“We have been going for several years and it has been consistently excellent! I discovered Maria’s when I was door dashing for extra money and so we tried it one night and fell in love with the people and the food! I always get the make your own combo and my husband gets the small combo, every once in a while we get crazy and try one of the specials, right now the have the quesabirria tacos which are excellent there’s not anything we have tried that we didn’t like! We used to live close and would go a couple times a month, now we live in Lehi and it takes a little more planning, which is fine, Maria’s is our go to Mexican place. ¡delicioso!“
“I photographed a wedding and they had Tacos Don Rafa cater and I was so impressed, the food was so so so good, the service was great, the line of people went quickly and they were some of the best tacos that I had had in a long time from a business!“
“Wow! I'm blown away by this restaurant. I came by on a whim, just trying to check out new Mexican lunch spots, and I'll definitely be coming back! The service was super friendly, everything is clean and tidy, and the tacos were the best I've had in the block. Thank you for the great experience!“
“This restaurant has authentic Mexican food. 99% of the patrons are Hispanic. Spanish is spoken as the preferred language but the waitresses are very nice and delivered our meals without a mistake. The menu has great photos. The food was hot and delicious. The burrito and enchiladas were large, tasty and delivered promptly. I am going back for sure.“
“This Oxaqueno restaurant is really good. We tried their popusas, and they were good. I tried the grasshopper popusas, and it was weird. I did not find any flavor, but I just wanted to give it a try. The empanadas de leches are good; the horchata oaxaqueña and atole de elote are good. The place looks clean from the inside, and the customer service is great.“
“Unbeatable food & service! Have been a patron at multiple locations and have never been disappointed. Always fresh, friendly and easy to navigate. Affordable for the whole family. If you’re looking for something different but still familiar, visit Sabor Latino ?Kid-friendliness: Lots of family size tables, they host events and catering“
“I have been missing good Mexican food since I left Texas. I have been searching and searching for 9 years and finally found somewhere that doesn’t make me miss the Mexican food in Texas. The hand made tortillas are hands down the best part!“
“Great food! Great service. Tthey don’t speak much English so come prepared to use a little bit of Spanish to help in ordering, which I find to be half of the fun of the experience of ordering authentic food! Thank you Taco Bar! The food is super yummy! And “
“The ducky margarita is huge! I saw this place on social media and wanted to come here when visiting Salt Lake City. I would say to note that they are a restaurant so everyone must order food along with their drink. I ordered a ducky margarita and taquitos. I expected the taquitos to be small but they are a large portion that come with sour cream and guacamole on the side. They were actually crispy, deep fried and tasted delicious. I would recommend this place for food if you are in the area.“
“This place is a gem! I recently visited with a friend who had been here before and the food was delicious. She suggested the chips and guacamole, it was next level yummy! We both had the shrimp tacos, again delicious! Food was very fresh and beautifully played. Our server was very attentive. All in all I recommend this spot.“
“Ok there is good costa Vida, but this place is amazing costa Vida. There is a gentleman man named Alex who is the most amazing person. He knows how to care for a customer!!! Thank you Alex when we come back it will be becasue of how awesome you were!“
“I was looking for a taco shop that was more authentic and I heard about this place. Glad I stopped and gave it a try. The location is a little iffy and I probably would have missed it if I wasn't using my maps. But if you can find Maverick it's just acrossed the street to the southwest. Now that I found it, it will be easier next time. The lady at the register spoke very little English, This made me feel as though this place is the real deal! Based on their menu They are pretty popular for their Tortas. They offer a big variety of meats when it comes to them. The tacos they offer are authentic, Chuleta, Pollo, Asada, Suadero, Chorizo and Pastor. They are all the same price $3.99. At first I thought that was a bit pricey for a single taco. I ordered the asada, chorizo and pastor. When the tacos finally came to my table I realized REAL QUICK how big these tacos are! Each taco comes with two corn tortillas. You can easily make two tacos out of one order. They are VERY generous with their meat, They also top their tacos off with onion and cilantro and provide you with a red and green salsa & limes which taste amazing. That was when I realized what they are charging is well reasonable. You can order three tacos and easily make six out of them. My favorite was the chorizo, it had amazing flavor. The asada taco was just that, still really good. I was a little surprised with the pastor as usually this taco has great flavoring but found their meat to be a bit dry and the flavor was lacking just a bit. It was still good, and I would order it again. I definitely will be back, next time I will try a torta. There wasn't anything special about the restaurant itself plenty of space for a lot of people They also offer outdoor seating when the weather gets better. I can only imagine how packed it gets on a summer night.Parking: Not sure if there's parking in the back but it looked to be limited on the sides of the building.“
“I’ve come here so many times I can’t count anymore. I rave about this place all the time as I feel it’s so underrated. El pastor tacos combo is the way to go. Their corn tortillas are the best and my husband is gluten free who normally hates corn tortillas but he loves theirs. Both locations are great and I’ve never had an issue with staff like other reviews say. The cashier tonight was super friendly and kind. I’ve never had a bad experience food or service wise.“
“As someone who has traveled all over the US, this is a top tier truck. The food is authentic, delicious and very reasonably priced! If you choose to get a burrito anywhere else you are a fool... Seriously, try them out! Will get lunch here every single day I am in town.“
“Cute little restaurant on 9th and 9th Street! My friend and I both got what we’d usually order at a Cafe Rio/Costa Vida, and we agreed that this place is better than either! I got a simple taco and my friend got an enchilada. The people here were super nice and spoke in Spanish to my friend. It’s also a good vibe, there’s an outdoor area to eat as well. Would recommend!“
“I don’t have a picture because these vampiros were so amazing they were gone in seconds. Highly, highly recommend! The location might not seem appealing, but give it try. You 100% will not regret it.Possibly the best street tacos in all of Utah!“
“The truth is that I like that it is a place where you can cash a check or send money in a very easy way for Latin people.Although the restaurant has few variations of food, I can say that what it sells is delicious, the sale of sweets of Latin origin is excellent ?.“
“We recently discovered La Cocina and it had become a family favorite!First-The food is excellent. Everything we order is fresh, tastes great, and is plentiful.Second-The service is always very friendly and prompt.Third-A private room is available for larger parties. We did a little birthday get together with 16 people and it was fantastic!I highly recommend La Cocina. The carne asada tacos are my favorite!“
“The smell drew me in initially. It was divine, even through my mask. The cook was so friendly and patient with me as I decided what I wanted. The prices are unbeatable. There's a flock of birds always nearby but that adds to the feel of the place.Best tacos in town! Im a fan.“
“Food was amazing speed of service outstanding but this place is so crowded. We looked up romantic places to eat and this place came up, not of advice not a romantic night out kinda place. Hostess was on her phone when we walked in didn't acknowledge us until I said something, also her attire wasnt what i would expect from a "romantic" place to eat, or even one of this ranking. Server was hurried as expected but a little more patience would have been nice. Nice things was our food was brought out so fast we where seated and 45 min later we where out and very well sated.“
“Whoa. The past reviews do not lie. This is the place for authentic food with fantastic service. The red Sangria is amazing. The chips and salsa alone are worth it. The decor inside is fun! It there is a line, just wait as it's worth it and normally they move it pretty quickly. Even at 9pm we had to wait a few minutes before our red eye flight left and so glad we did. Best way to end your trip to SLC!“
