If you've ever been to Abingdon, VA, you'll know that there aren't many upper class restaurants to have business meetings for lunch. The Peppermill just happens to be one of the few in the eclectic and historic neighborhood.To that point, the restaurant is a converted 2 story house. The dinning rooms upstairs are literally the guest rooms. Excellent service and food. Prices are midlevel high. Very nice decor as it is in an old Abingdon home. Two floors of eating space. They won't take reservations unless you have 6 or more people. Seldom have to wait long for a table for 2. New items on the menu.Features: No masks or temp.checks. No social distancing. I highly recommend the mushroom marmalade soup and the chicken salad sandwich. Both were very tasty. The atmosphere was quaint, loved the historic feel to the building and dining areas.
