We had eaten at Hank’s in Charleston a few years ago and our experience at Hank’s in Alexandria was equally enjoyable. We started with oysters and clams on the shell, followed by shrimp and grits, ceviche and a side order of green collards. Everything was delicious. The chocolate mousse we shared at the end of our meal was average. We have had better. Overall, it was a great meal.
Our waiter was Tommy and he took very good care of us. Solid portions and price during Restaurant Week. I had their braised short rib which came with a wonderful Mac and cheese. I don't usually eat oysters but the half a dozen I had for an appetizer were great. Chocolate mousse for dessert was also light and delicate.Great spot. Would drink the next time, too.

Came for a very simple lunch, the bar lady/ waitress was very friendly and accommodating. It was my first time trying Clam Chowder and I must say you’ve set the bar very high! The Bloody Mary was also delicious and the general atmosphere was very relaxed but efficient. Will definitely visit again if I come to Alexandria!
