“We love authentic Indian food and this place delivered it with style. Linda, our waitress, could not have been nice or more helpful. The food was as good as any we have had on our many trips to Asia. The atmosphere is welcoming and drained with Indian hospitality.“
“My family and I ate here twice, this past week, while on vacation. Our server, Jasmine was incredibly nice and attentive on both occasions. On top of that, almost everything we ordered was very delicious! The restaurant also has a kid’s menu (e.g. Mac & Cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.) that comes in very handy if your kids aren’t partial to Indian food yet :)“
“We live nearby, and this was our first time visiting Spice Kraft. This will DEFINITELY be added to our roster of regular stops. The food was delicious, the portions were large, and the service was great. AND they have happy hour on the weekends! The only ‘complaint’ I have is that I asked for one of the dishes to be extra spicy, and it simply wasn’t. They brought me more hot sauce, and that didn’t get to the level I’m used to either. This is absolutely a ‘me’ thing as I like my food intolerably spicy, and I will know for next time to specify that I want it “extra spicy as if I were in India” to get the right spice level!Dietary restrictions: We are both vegan, and one of us is gluten free as well, and there were plenty of options to choose from! Love that this place is so close!“
“The Tandoori Chicken at Mumbai Darbar is a true culinary gem! The chicken is juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of char from the tandoor. It's served with fresh mint chutney and onions, adding a refreshing contrast to the bold flavors. Definitely one of the best I've ever tasted!“
“Exquisite food . I tried goat karahi and chicken rolla masla and they were really really awesome !!! Gajar ka halwa was really really delicious!!! And the manager Haseeb the owner of the restaurant served us the whole time and we didn’t know that. That is so humble and professional on his part !!! Would really recommend everyone to eat here!!!“
“I always give a new restaurant a second try, as they are still getting into their groove, settling in. The service was excellent, and the restaurant has a lot of wonderful decor and lighting. The overall look and cleanliness is great.I visited this place a few times before I'm giving this place a review, and happy that they did take heed to some of my advice and feedback. The Chaat Papri is now in point, with more Papri, and seasonings, not just canned garbanzo beans and undercooked potatoes. The samosas have now been cooked to perfection, and not raw like they were the last time. The Daal, the Channa Masala are tasty, and the Naan is very well prepared. I'm still not impressed with the Tandoori or Tikka, the flavor was lacking, and had way too much food coloring.“
“Went here for my Valentine's because my boyfriend knew that this was a spot on my list, food and service is amazing. The atmosphere is perfect for a night of romance. My fish was cooked perfectly and the drinks were made well. Would definitely come here again!“
“Can't say enough good things about Dishes of India. We do to-go orders here often and the food is always prepared on time and tastes amazing. Honestly, we've never ordered anything that made us unhappy. Eating in the restaurant is just as enjoyable. Friendly, helpful staff and always an incredible presentation. We love Dishes of India and hope it's here in the neighborhood for a long time.“
“Excellent Indian food on Route 1 near the Fort Hunt Road intersection. We called ahead to confirm a larger party, and were able to be accommodated with an hour notice. They suggested we book at least 1 day in advance, but at the time we arrived there was plenty of space. With a large group we sampled lots of items. From the appetizers, we really liked the Gobi Lasooni (spicy cauliflower) and Tamarind Chicken Wings. The vegetable samosas were solid. For entrees the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala were both delicious (and looked very similar). The Lamb Saag and Lamb Roganjosh were both good, but were finished only after the aforementioned chicken. And of course no meal is complete without naan bread. I am strongly partial to the Garlic Naan, which was excellent here, but we tried the mint paratha, onion kulcha, and paneer kulcha. Both of the kulcha were well flavored, the cheese or onions contributing primarily, and can be eaten on their own. They do make for a different and tasty pairing when dipping in sauces (like the butter chicken sauce). I would recommend trying these out.“
“IndAroma Catering stole the 2024 Gala Awards Show with their terrific food and excellent service. We knew we were in good hands, but we didn't know how incredible the partnership would become as we moved through the process. We could not have asked for better collaborators on every level of logistics from the menu selections and food tasting to the walkthrough and execution. Abhishek Handa, Marissa Stratton and Rachel Washburg went above and beyond, delivering the ultimate Indian fusion experience. IndAroma is the real deal! Can't wait to do it all again! Happy & Grateful, Patrice Geraghty ~ Executive Producer, Bzzz Productions. p.s.: You must have the Blueberry Lemonade Nimbu Pani ... it's next level!“
“Leftover Tikka Masala for work lunch. Still delicious. Thank you for being gracious when someone from my party was a bit rude.Portions were really generous. Most people treat the rice as an after thought. The rice here. is cooked and seasoned perfectly. Loved the cheese naan and mango lassi. Wanted the rice pudding, but was so stuffed. Will be back.“
“Awesome Indian and Pakistani cuisine in Alexandria. Less than half a mile from my hotel. Service was outstanding and staff are super friendly! The food was amazing. I will definitely be back before I leave and will make this one of my stops whenever I'm back in the area!“
