Vibe: Sunday brunch. Wear a shirt with a frocket, you could do shorts (not booty shorts).Food: one miss for every four hits. Cinnamon roll was ? , breakfast sandwich was ? but the shrimp and grits were just ok. Cocktail, frozen shrimp drowned in whatever that sauce is.Service: We were served well!Bathroom: Not located in the restaurant, but real close through a back door into the hotel next door (all attached and you don’t need to walk outside.
The food and service was great. We had corn bread and deviled eggs to start. Then trout, chicken pot pie, steak and shrimp n grits, particularly yummy. Ended with blackberry cobbler, bread pudding and the winner was the chocolate peanut butter bacon bar.

What I ordered: K&R Old FashionedI have not yet eaten here and even though most of my reviews are about food, I have to say that this place has the best Old Fashioned in all of DC. I've ordered Old Fashioned drinks in multiple fancy pancy places in DC, Arlington, and Alexandria. One of my favorites is the Hamilton Loft Bar. But King and Rye definitely takes the lead. I don't know how they do it but it must be the Basil Hayden's Bourbon and the freaking delicious Luxardo brand...read full review
