Ordered take-out from here recently and was really happy with both the wide selection of food and how delicious it was!We ordered the following:-Hot and sour soup -Eggrolls-Garlic Beef (made this one spicy, just to my liking). Really great Hong Kong style dishes, generic Chinese dishes, and Malaysian dishes. I lived in Hong Kong for 2 years, and loved the food. The most authentic Hong Kong food I've found in DC is Tiger Fork (see my review for them), but it is also far from my home and you are paying for the quality. It is expensive, but worth every penny.South China is my go-to I-don't-want-to-cook-dinner spot. They perfectly captured a few of my favorite Hong Kong dishes, and it is reasonably priced....read full review

This place is a really great local takeout. Pretty much the go to option for Chinese food in Del Ray. The portions are huge and there are no frills but the food is delicious. Mongolian beef is my favorite!
