“Amazing! I got the Friday special of turkey wings in gravy, yummy! The sides were also tasty-collards, green beans, cabbage, Mac & cheese, spoon bread, and the okra...we were stuffed and couldn't stop eating! (Other people got the porkchops that just fell off the bone, seafood platter, and sides with rice) I can't believe I didn't go before, but I sure will be back again and again. The staff was incredibly friendly, too!”

“The sweetie roll cannot be beat! Spider roll, although fried was very light and clean tasting. Miso soup is one of the best in RVA. Service is always friendly and the chef quite a character whether sitting close or not.If you sit at the bar and order stuff one at a time. “What's not to love. First off, the people working here are among the best of us! Just kind, nice, and genuinely good people. Now the food is very good as well. Killer biscuits!Awesome portions and a solid value. Money's tight these days, and you get amazing bang for your buck here. So you're going to be full! I have been a bunch of times (at least 5) and never had anything that wasn't very yummy. Yesterday I had the country benny.... DUDE! one of the best breakfasts I've had in my life, not even joking. It ticked every breakfast box. Go check it out. it's a seat yourself, come as you are place. And we love it. I promise you that any review that's 3 or fewer stars was from a person having a bad day themselves.”

“This review is all about the food. While the staff were friendly and the dining area was quaint, there is no better lunch time food experience than here. Everything they make is outstanding! Best lunch time chicken experience by far! Would recommend for a great, not-break-the-bank get more than you'd expect experience. “The food here is fantastic, I come here about every 4 to 5 weeks when I'm in town and I love this place, people are friendly and the service is great. Pasta and pizza here are great options and they pair great with either a cold beer or a wine. I definitely recommend this place 10/10 friendly faces and fantastic ”

“Seafood lovers MUST!!! I haven’t visited Ashland in over 30 years and I found this absolute jewel of a restaurant. Shrimp Boil is so wonderful I am going back to buy more to freeze and take back to Michigan. The Po Boy Cajun shrimp roll delicious with coleslaw. Sweet potato fries! The staff were so friendly. “Absolutely delicious!!! We got a seafood platter and between the two of us (very good eaters), we had so much to take home. These are the best restaurant oysters ive ever had, they were huge and flavorful!! Service was lovely, Moh was very kind and treated us well with his kindness and good music taste.I was having a bad day until i walked in and was greeted with the delicious smells and smiles. “Great selection of beer! Their fries are the best. My husband loves their Chicken Fingers. We used to go to the location in The Fan before it closed down and I loved their vegan Potachoes! We went for dinner on Wednesday evening and the live music provided a wonderful atmosphere along with the friendly staff. I definitely recommend this spot if you are in Ashland!Vegetarian options: They have several vegan options including a black bean burger, but they do not have a dedicated vegan/vegetarian menu. They also have vegan cheese, but it’s Daiya (which is still good!) instead of the homemade cashew cheese that they served at The Fan location.”
