“This place is great. Used to go here all the time when we lived nearby years ago, and almost forgot how much we liked it. Veggie combo, awaze tibs, and yeshinit tibs. All great.”
“Really fantastic pollo a la brasa. The meat was moist, the skin was crispy, and the sauces were delicious. I had the yuca and plantains as well. The plantains were firmer than I was used to but cooked very well. I finished off the meal with an eclair. The eclair was topped with tempered milk chocolate that gave the pastry a snap. The eclair was ok.”
“I get the Shrimp Po Boy at least once a month. It is the best Shrimp Po Boy I've ever eaten. The sweet potato fries are always crispy. Ask for extra Po Boy sauce on the side.”
“Today i sat down with the owner and held discussion about successes and challenges...She is such a fascinating woman and entrepreneur. She redesigned the hall, bar are, and ceiling to meet its coziness and attractions...I proved that during my stay in there. I think we should encourage business with stronger women entrepreneurship!! Besides, she is 100% devoted to self cooking, customer service and hospitality to customers. She faces a challenge of overcoming business recovery post covid phases. Its evident!”
“Delicious pastries, salads, soups, and more. Has a relaxing atmosphere and encourages catching up with friends in a warm, friendly place.Parking: Limited handicapped parking (2 spaces).Kid-friendliness: Not kid unfriendly, but more of a mature-friendly location.”
“Food is good , I came here for a Salvadoran traditional soup ? that is not easy to find in others restaurants , but personally I don’t like to dine in, there are a lot of noise and a lot of people walking by because they have bakery and a lot of take out , service is not rude but is just people doing their jobs, they are not friendly or even greeting people .”
“I love the customer service I received when I walked in for lunch. The food was really good. Hot, tasty, and the amount was so worth the cost. The restaurant was very clean and if there was time I would have ate lunch there. It was a nice peaceful atmosphere.”
“Close to home. Good service at all time, although sometimes food tastes different. The staff are friendly. My 6 years old son is a fan of souffle. We visit this store everydayKid-friendliness: Staff are super nice to my kid. Always have something extra for free. Thank you”
“It seemed that my spicy chicken sandwich was smaller than I expected for $5. Joe Biden's brain quickly came to mind. Edy's Chicken and Steak is their greatest local competitor. I recommend you visit & try her quarter chicken with yucca with at least three small yellow and green sauces each on the side. You will be surprised and thank me.”
“Dissatisfied people who take the time to write a bad review. 1 should not discriminate for not speaking English we are in a free country please let's be humanitarian. 2 the bread is the best that can be found in any store nearby the fresh vegetables and above all it is a clean place and good service ???”
“Can hardly go wrong with their wings. Hot take: their boneless wings, even though "boneless wings" are basically fancy chicken nuggets, ARE SO GOOD. Wings are solid wings. Sauces are fine. Drinks are actually better than expected and really affordable!Big pro: they have high chairs!Kid-friendliness: High chairs and volumes aren't incredibly loud”
“What a delightful surprise!I would never have considered ordering from here, given the Yelp reviews. However, my daughter wanted to try it for a while, and I finally gave in. We ordered online through DoorDash, and they delivered our food on time and in about 40 minutes. We ordered their "All-In Bundle"; as promised, it was delicious enough for four people. Our favorite was the Tenders with Maple Sriracha sauce. They were crispy and had a delightful sweet/spicy coating. Along with the seasoned fries, it is something we will order again. The boneless wings with Garlic Parmesan were good. The wings with Mango Habanero were OK but a bit too hot for our taste. TLDR: Order the tenders with Maple Sriracha and the seasoned fries. Add anything else to your order as an experiment. As an aside, we tried to place the order through UberEats and got stuck in a "select two options" hell where nothing we clicked was acceptable. DoorDash didn't have the same problem.”
“It's Christmas Day and I was surprised to discover they were open. I didn't get a chance to use my birthday reward yesterday and I spoke to the barista ringing me up about it. She politely let me know that it was expired and I continued my order. Well at the end she showed me such kindness and honored my birthday reward. Customer service has definitely declined in recent years so it is refreshing to see and experience it. Also to note, that the other baristas were just as cheerful while fulfilling everyone's orders. Merry Christmas!”
“For the price it is quite good, variety in food and desserts as well as drinks, you have two hours to eat whatever you like but obviously you will be full in less time. In my opinion it is a quality-price buffet, I would come ”
“This place is exceptional. I am a regular visitor for special occasions and every time the food impresses and I am left happy and satisfied. The service is awesome and the atmosphere outdoor is beautiful even in the cold weather.”
“The food was amazing!! I couldn’t believe how tasty it was. My friend is vegetarian so it was so cool she had options. We got dumpings regular and vegan and the red miso and mushroom ramen. There is also cool option to reward staff with beer! We had to do it! (˘ ▽ ˘) っ ♨(ˆڡˆ)”
“I stumbled upon Tail Up Goat while wandering the streets, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be. Walking in for dinner at the bar, I was immediately impressed by the flawless service. The staff struck a perfect balance between professional hospitality and genuine human connection, making my dining experience truly enjoyable.Unlike some other restaurants where servers bombard you with uppity culinary jargon and $2 words they learned in a staff meeting, Tail Up Goat provided a refreshingly authentic experience. The food overall was excellent, with only one minor hiccup. The pork tenderloin, while flavorful, was a tad dry, possibly sliced too soon. However, even my "least favorite" dish was still enjoyable.Unfortunately, my experience was slightly marred by a small issue. I was offered a glass of bubbles, which I assumed was complimentary but was later charged for. It left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively speaking, but thankfully didn't completely sour my overall experience. It's entirely possible it was just a misunderstanding on my part that I should have clarified.Despite this minor blip, I would still highly recommend Tail Up Goat for its warm atmosphere, impeccable service, and delicious food. It's definitely worth a visit.”
“Very friendly staff. Early happy hour which is a big plus. I got the fried chicken sandwich with fries and it was quite good. The chicken was tender and fried perfectly. The hot cherry pepper sauce and slaw went great on top. The fries were seasoned with a dusting of old bay, I assume. I got the Hawaiian Punch which is essentially a mocktail and it was SO good. Not too sweet. Finished it off with the apple pie which is, as you may guess, unconventional as it kind of looked like a cinnamon bun and was caramelized very well. I would recommend eating here. It is a laid back atmosphere. Jeans and a t-shirt are appropriate as well as business attire.”
“Scallops on cauliflower rice(?) was delicious and seared to perfection. Loved the breads and really enjoyed dipping some in the jambalaya inspired paella dish.Happy hour gets crowded and the deal was restricted to the bar area. But we were happy to have a sit-down meal to enjoy a couple of dishes after some oysters.”
“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!”
“Pretty incredible place, the tasting menu was a really great option to go for. Every plate that came out was really delicious and definitely left feeling satisfied with the food and service. There is a hint of over gentrification but you overlook that once you start eating. Really immersive experience and defiantly would go back there when I’m in DC”
“Food was great, and service was good. We sat in the dining room this time. Next time will seat in the bar lounge area. Menu prices are reasonable and you bring in bottles not on list for $35 corkage fee.”
“From start to finish my meal was delicious! Very attentive to allergies and making appropriate recommendations. The grilled oysters are a delight! Loved the two drinks I had. The loaded potato with the aged ribeye was perfection. The crepes are light and airy and the caramel sauce adds the right amount of sweetness. I visited the speakeasy before leaving and it was such a vibe. I plan to come again to try other dishes and drinks on both menus!”
“It was fabulous! I loved how much thought went into the meal and the whole place showed the care and love behind the creations. The food and service were spectacular!”
“We loved this restaurant. The food was fantastic as well as the waitress from El Salvador, who was super kind. Price and overall experience was excellent! We will defórmele be back!”
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff, in a unique atmosphere. Residents has a chill vibe and a Menu that changes with the seasons. Love the small bites. Highly recommend the baby artichokes on the Summer menu! Visited in Summer and Fall of 2022… Residents never disappoints! Highly recommend.”

The dishes served at the restaurant are incredibly delicious, and the drinks are equally impressive. Whether you're looking to share a meal with friends or to grab a drink after work, Doi Moi is the perfect spot.”
“Came for their Valentine's Day menu and WOW! They had such a unique and thoughtful menu. Started with a complementary drink. The total course number was seven. Started with a delicious scallop tartare followed by a delicious lobster croquette. The star dish was definitely the personal hot pot with waygu beef. It was cool to get to cook the food at our table. There was also a round of sushi and round of nigiri which featured fresh delicious picks from the chef! To end there was a banana chocolate crepe which was perfectly sweet and had a decadent chocolate dipping sauce. This was a great meal. Definitely pricey but is worth it! Come here for your next big occasion for a treat!”
