We've been coming here for years. The wines are worth the price. We especially like the Barbera, a grape we first enjoyed in the Piedmont region of Italy. The on-site restaurant, Palladio, is excellent.
This is a large estate that produces very good examples of both red and white varietals and blends. We sampled the Chardonnay and their prmiere offering called Octagon, which is a classic Bordeaux blend. The name comes from the octagonal shaped library in the ruins of Governor Barbour's mansion which lie on the estate.
