Just had a wedding anniversary dinner with my wife and the food was to die for. That chocolate lava cake was worth the 1300 mile drive and if we're ever in Virginia again we're definitely stopping here again.

One of our favorite restaurants! We've been several times, and each time we always get the prime rib and baked potato for our main course. The French onion soup, creamed spinach are all delicious. Several of the servers have been there for years and years – like over 30! It's been around since 1965 and is still going strong. That says something in itself! Can't wait to go back.

Nice old school steakhouse vibe. Our waiter Jim was great. Attentive and shared many great stories with us. The escargot and baked clams were very tasty. A few at our party ordered the princess cut prime rib and they were cooked perfectly. The porterhouse is a good size and very tender, and especially good with the herb butter. I had the ribeye and it was great. Nice flavor, good cut. Overall a great experience.

I love the old steak house ambience and the service is excellent. The food was very disappointing. I had the petite prime rib and steamed broccoli. The broccoli was good. The prime rib lacked flavor and the texture was a little mushy. My husband had ny strip steak and it was much smaller than previous portions and not the quality he is used to. Salad did not come with either meal. We drank only water but our meal cost was still very expensive.

Nice restaurant and great Prime Rib. Prices have gotten steep. Been going there since 2012. If you love Prime Rib, then it's likely worth the cost. One side is included (several types of potatoes, or broccoli) but the salad is extra.

Okay, I know I give out a lot of 5 star credits, but My wife and I just finished a $220.00 Prime Rib Meal!! That's $110.00 for each of us!! Why you ask? Started with bread sticks and rolls and really great butter and cheese!! Had a couple of Miller lights, then we had a couple of large Shrimp Cocktails, sauce was delicious, nice and peppery, then my wife had the wedge salad with house made blue cheese dressing and I had the Caesar salad and it was delicious, then we each got the 14 to 16 oz. Prime Rib that cut like butter!! We both brought half of it home for tomorrow!! Dessert was a flowerless cake with whip cream and was great!! It's been a long time since we have eaten at Aberdeen Barn, OH and my wife had the Barn Potatoes and I had the steak fries!! Our waiter was the best, took really good care of us!! I know it's pricey but we were celebrating our anniversary and they made us feel special. I have to save up more money so we can go back this year!! Thank you Aberdeen Barn for making our anniversary special!! I've paid almost this much and the meal wasn't worth near what I paid, I figured a couple of hundred dollars because these folks give you a lot of food and it's well worth it. We'll be going back as soon as we can.

The service was just ok. The food was over priced for the quality. It was just an ok place to eat for top dollar! It was so dark I could not read the menu without the flashlight on my phone.

Everything was cooked perfectly... so delicous. Our waiter has been there for decades and could not have served us better. A much needed night for myself and my friend. LOVE Aberdeen!

Old school main stay of Charlottesville and consistently well done. While the menu is specific to beef, there are other options including Shrimp, Scallops, Crab Cakes, Pork Chop and a chicken option. The Wedge Salad is always a favorite and is more than enough for two people to share. Solid wine list at fair prices. Service is strong, with servers menu knowledgeable and willing to help diners find the perfect selection. Reservations are needed on the weekends.

Awful meal. Nothing positive to say about the food. Great service and love the setting, but tereiable food.

The host and the serve staff were all very kind and accommodating. The dining rooms are just too dark. We brought our small children and we were all squinting to see the menus and one another. We got the ribeye and it was medium inside, but almost inedible due to the char on the outside.
