No frills; excellent coffee. I needed my morning mocha while on vacation in Cville so I wandered down to the Corner for Shenandoah Joe coffee. The coffee was excellent and the staff were friendly. Most patrons are reading or working, making for a quiet environment. They don't have too many options for food, just a few muffins and buns. Their decor is very plain. Although their espresso drinks are a little bit more expensive per ounce than your traditional chain coffee shop, the quality of the espresso stands out and the large size comes with four shots -- you get your money's worth! Another nice perk: If you're in Charlottesville for a prolonged period of time, they have a drink loyalty stamp card to work towards a free drink. The new renovation gives so much more space! Just such a bummer that the WiFi is ALWAYS slow.. I can't get work done there! Other than that, the coffee is always delish and they have great pastries (until they run out)
