I eat here on special occasions, but I actually worked here for a short time while in culinary school after retiring from the Navy. I’m going to tell you unapologetically that Chef Carmello is the man and his food is amazing. I’m claiming this as a line cook and culinary school student who had a chance to lift up the hood and take a look at the engine. Excellent establishment. Everything is on point. The service is exactly what you want after a long work week. It's very out of the way for the majority of the population of Hampton Roads. My wife has been twice and both times she had a tough time getting an Uber when leaving the restaurant. So just be aware of that if you plan on ride sharing. But don't let that deter you from partaking in an excellent dining experience.
