“My husband and I stopped for lunch on our snow bird ride north. We ordered the Brunswick stew which was the best we’ve ever had. The sauce was incredible. The service was friendly and efficient. This was enough to ensure a stop on our trip north or south… but wait, there’s more! I somehow left my credit card there but didn’t notice until we were 2 states beyond. Ordinarily I would have cancelled the card and requested a new one, but I ha a good feeling about the people here so I asked if they would charge $10 as a token of my appreciation mail it back. They said it was a small thing to do and they would not charge the account. When I got home, there was the card, already in my mailbox. I am grateful and want you to know that the food, service, and honesty of the staff all rate a 5 +”

“Ordered boneless wings and thought they was going to be real chicken but as it goes they wasn’t, delivery driver almost delivered to the wrong address, if it says boneless chicken wings on your menu make sure you use real chicken, not some cheap rib meat ”

“Flying J is located right at the WV/VA line. Easy access right off I-81. Plenty of parking and room to get around the pumps. Plenty of store front parking also. They usually have great gas prices. If you are traveling North on 81, stop here and get gas for the best price. The store is clean and well spaced. It's normally well stocked and well lit inside and out.”

“Stopped in to get a burger for after work at 6 am and the server was super on point with my restrictions and dietary concerns. I got a double burger with cheese and an egg. It came out withing just a few minutes. the burger is the only burger I haven't eaten at home in this area with actual flavor. Don't tend to leave reviews unless I'm blown away good or bad. This burger made me happy to stop before going home. I think the server was both server and cook and she killed it. I think her name was chasity. “I so wish I caught the girl’s name because she made my whole day, but I went by this Dunkin’ this morning with my good boy in the back seat who just had surgery on his ear, so he was wearing the cone of shame and wasn’t having it. I didn’t think to ask at the speaker box, but when I got to the window I asked her if Dunkin’ did pup cups. I had never gotten one there before so wasn’t for sure, but she said they could. She asked me first if I had a small dog or a big dog and he’s a pit, so he is definitely a big boy. She said “I’ll make it extra special for him.” She comes back with a big cup of whipped cream for my baby! I rolled the window down so her and the other Dunkin worker could see him in the back with his cone of shame. But she just made my whole day and my sweet boy enjoyed his pup cup, thank you so much!”

My friends and I thought everything was good.I will say the more deep Southern/coastal ones of the bunch preferred the BBQ they have at home, but I loved mine fried chicken and ribs!We collectively loved the potato salad and collards. Those the Mac and cheese and fried apples were decent too. Cornbread was a bit dry.But the bakery?! I got a lemon bar to go and I was in love. Too bad I was just visiting. I'd love to come back!”

“We were in Winchester for a meeting and decided to try Taqueria Guadalajara for lunch. We're originally from California now living in Northern VA so I'm very picky with Mexican food. This restaurant did not disappoint. In fact, it's one of the most authentic Mexican food places. Definitely NOT Tex-Mex! I had menudo and hubby had barbacoa sopes and they were excellent (see pictures). I met two families here who were also from Southern California! You've got to try it here!”
