“Love coming here when I stay in Emporia for work. Best bartender in town. She does amazing martinis with bitters. Something I have never experienced before. Food is also amazing. ❤️”
“Emporia, VA - the best Five Guys! The staff is so friendly and nice, they even brought out a fork to my vehicle when they saw I didn’t grab one for a burger bowl. Robert L on the register was so friendly. Recommend stopping there if you’re ever going through Emporia.”
“El Ranchero is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! The food is always fresh and hot and the customer service is excellent! My favorite thing to eat is the three amigo! Definitely would rate this restaurant a 10/10.”
“Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon once we finished up a softball tournament in Emporia. We shocked the staff with a party of 30, mostly 9 year olds, with no warning. The staff handled themselves and the situation with the utmost professionalism that was greatly appreciated by our entire party. I'm fairly certain we were in and out in less than an hour and a half. To me, that speaks volumes to the leadership of the place. The food was great. Service was great. The atmosphere was perfect! The other parents and myself couldn't have been more pleased with our experience and we will definitely return when we are in the area again! My 3 year old throughly enjoyed the wings!”
“This is exactly what you want in a small town diner. It's nothing fancy, but it has a varied menu, attentive and friendly service, and great food at really low prices. You can tell this place is good because it's busy, and all the locals seem to eat here. If you find yourself in Emporia -- highly recommended!”
“This is my first time at a Quiznos and shout out to JASON and Natilie!! They were awesome and Jason is a one of a kind dude! I was just passing by on my travels and he convinced me to buy a sandwich and I don’t regret it! Great customer service!”
“This is a pretty run-of-the-mill Subway good for stopping at on a road trip. The service staff was nice and did their job and the food was good. I liked that it was connected to bathrooms and a separate convenience store. Great place to refuel yourself when you're refueling at the gas station next door.”
“Clerk at counter very nice very helpful in informing us of menu, her interaction will us was awesome great customer service skills, I didn't get her name but she is a very nice person, we would come back for her and the chicken....”
“Ms Hines is really sweet & funny. Food was prepared very well, no long wait time & good prices. I had the meatloaf dinner with cabbage, mashed potatoes, a roll and a canned soda. Highly recommend!!!Update: Ms Hines did it again!! Potato Soup with crackers for a chilly day with banana pudding for dessert! Very good!!”
“"Decent Italian near intersection of I-95 and VA-58 in Emporia" Right beside a gas station and a motel on VA-58, right off I-95 in Emporia, sits this little spot. I'd driven by it many times and usually hit up the decent Mexican place in the motel next door, but my family wanted Italian, so we tried it. It did not disappoint. The place has pizza and lots of Italian standards, and it's very brightly lit with a few of much of the kitchen from the entry counter. As we entered, it was a little unclear whether we were supposed to order at the counter or be seated, so we ordered at the counter and then they asked us to take a seat and pay afterwards. The folks were friendly, and service didn't take too long. I ordered a chicken parmigiana, and my family got similar dishes. Food came out in maybe 10 minutes. The quantity was LARGE. I got many pieces of chicken, a heaping amount of spaghetti, and a side-salad with bleu cheese dressing. The salad was pretty standard -- nothing fancy. I liked the chicken parm and spaghetti sauce. The sauce was a little sweet, which I like, but my wife was less pleased with the sweetness of the sauce on her dish. Price was fair-- it's not dirt-cheap Italian, but it was also better quality than that. The chicken parm was something like $17, which for the quantity and good quality, is reasonable. This'll be in our rotation when we drive through that area in the future!”
“BEST BURRITO EVER!!It was a little hard to find, unfortunately our gps took us to the building next door, and unfortunately no signs out front. However once we found it, omg! I ordered the burrito Victoria, it had beef, shrimp, and chicken in it, along with rice and all kinds of ingredients. The biggest burrito ever!! However it was by far the best tasting burrito that I've ever eaten! And I've had a lot of burritos in my time, this is a great place to grab a cheap quick bite. They have $4 meals!!! So perfect! Affordable and yummy can't beat that! Definitely will be back again and again!”
“During my travels, I made a stop, not to dine in but to take out and get back on the road. The atmosphere of the area was welcoming. I got my purchase and left.”
“Pecan chicken salad was good but the lettuce was very bitter. Also they have a Female restroom and a mixed restroom. No Male restroom, which is bad for prostate cancer patients and those for bladder control.”
“We were on our way from Busch Gardens Williamsburg filming for our channel and randomly found this diner… loved the ambience.. very friendly staff and great reasonably priced menu …. I had a chili cheese dog (the hot dog was red .. never tried those before) and a hot grilled ham and cheese with French fries … Rock had Philly Cheesesteak with Onion Rings. Total cost for all that food and 2 soft drinks was $27. They had homemade pies… but we were too full for dessert.. thanks to all the ladies working and making our first and probably only visit!!”
“Vegetarian options: Salads, pizza, subsAll fresh and made to order.Parking: Easy parking, easy to get to off of 95 to find Val'sKid-friendliness: While we were there ,a family of 6 with 4 being kids (less than 10 years old) were dining on a huge hot pizza.
