Great tasting pizza. Good prices. The live music was a bit too much, loud and could barely understand the lyrics.

No wedding soup :( it's been a staple for years! I do miss it. Anyway foods OK. It's really loud and echos really too much for my liking. Sweet tea is on par.

Awful experience! The food was just ok. It was all brought to the table separately and the sandwich never showed up. We talked to 4 different people about the missing sandwich, they all said they would "check on it", only 1 of them came back and told us it was taking so long because the restaurant upstairs was busy. That was a lie as we were told before that the 2 restaurants were completely separate with different kitchens. No one was coming to the table to check on us, update us on the sandwich situation, or even bring the check. It wasn't until we said that we were going to leave that the sandwich finally showed up. They brought it how they would normally serve it in a basket like they expected us to stay even though everyone else was already done eating. We asked for it be boxed and an extra box. They boxed the sandwich but forgot the second box so we had to ask again. It was all around a horrible experience. Service was terrible and stupidly slow. Will NOT be eating here again!

What phenomenal service! We called and asked them to accommodate a large party and they absolutely came through on short notice. Spectacular staff that took carw of our party. We could not have had a better experience! We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

I sat at the bar, great atmosphere and service. Whole experience was more like 10/10. Had Fried Calamari, rings were great, crispy but soft, not chewy and the marinara was a good, standard marinara, then I ordered a steak and side w/o the side and a caprese salad. Tomatoe slices were delicious, big basil leaves, mozzarella was nice and soft.I think there were 4 bartenders/cocktail servers and a manager in the bar area, 1 of them was new, but it was great to see the patience of the others as he worked through things. At some point, every one of them asked me if I needed another drink, they are incredibly attentive. Will be back, highly recommended.

Had not been to Castiglia’s in a while and I have never had their brick oven pizza. A personal note: I travel to Naples Italy a lot so I’m a bit of a pizza snob. Tried the Margherita pizza here. WOW.It’s not in a traditional Napoli style which is completely fine because Italy is a diverse foodie heaven. What really LOVED about it was the unique and amazing flavor. The seasoning they put on this house made dough (that has a VERY nice crisp to it) is like nothing I’ve ever tasted. The price was on point for the size, so the value is there. This will definitely make me a regular for this delicious pie.Whoever the Chef is that designed the recipe for this pizza is a genius. Well done.I reheated half of it for breakfast this morning and it is still amazing. Bonus points there Chef!

Delicious food, with a somewhat rustic feeling inside. The restaurant was bustling, and even with only two servers, it was kept up well, and all the staff were friendly and polite. The bruschetta tasted fresh and tangy, and the meat sauce spaghetti had delicious notes of red wine in the sauce. Highly recommend it!

I'm not really sure where to begin except at the front door. It took over 10 minutes to be seated by the wait staff. Afterward, we ordered drinks, which came out separately. Tip, bring all the drinks at once. We ordered the pizza, and I was not impressed. For a brick oven pizza, the middle was cold, with too many juices, and so on. It just feels like the whole atmosphere was off today.

Friday Night Date Night and Alicia made the Evening Excellent! She radiates kindness and we had Old School Bartender service. The Authentic Pizza and Coca-Cola were the finest of combinations. The Vibe in the room was of good energy, as the other patrons were happy and friendly. Christiano Company and the music topped it off. Thank you, Alicia, for being in my life last night. You Shine!

I’ve been here many times and I ordered a steak salad with rare steak but it came out medium well highly disappointing and I won’t be coming here again. Waiter asked if it was good I said it tasted fine but it was wrong and there was no effort to fix it what so ever. To me personally it is

We went for live music night and the place is small and cozy. The problem I had was when we were sitting at the bar last night and a lady was at the bar next to us with a small dog. I thought that was unsanitary, considering it's a restaurant. My friends and others were eating. The bartender was aware because he was petting the dog. It was cute, but should not be in a public restaurant. They need to have a separate area or not allow pets whatsoever. The bartenders were nice and attentive and the service was good. I didn't order food or eat anything after seeing the dog.

Castiglia's is a downtown Fredericksburg mainstay. Having lived here for over 16 years, Castiglia's is great for a start, middling or end to your evening. The food is good, especially the pizza (the large is enormous), and they have a decent top shelf if that's your thing. The rooftop bar, during good weather, is always awesome though during the summer months the sun can be brutal. All in all, this is a great restaurant. As for being a singles bar, it's not the best place to meet people, but certainly not the worst.
