My husband and I were looking to try different restaurants in downtown Fredericksburg. We gave them a try. Let's just say we will not return. The atmosphere was nice with soul R&B playing. Our waitress was nice but forgetful, there were only two other tables. Potatoes were not cooked, and biscuits were hard and falling apart. Steak was dry. The eggs were good.

I was warned not to go here but my husband and I decided to give it a go. We went for brunch on a Saturday. There were open tables and not that busy. We sat down and drinks came right away. We ordered our food and waited....and waited and waited. As other people were coming in, they were informed they were out of biscuits. We were thinking yes! We made the cut off, but we were wrong. After waiting for about 40 minutes, we were brought our food with the apology that they ran out of biscuits so my husband's meal would be free. All of the ice in my drink had melted by this point. I had the strawberry shortcake biscuit...which was dry and tasted like cardboard that had been left in my grandma's attic. It was also stone cold and hard. I had two bites. My husband was disappointed but asked if they had toast to go with his eggs and bacon. The waitress said they had some and she would go get it. 5 or 10 minutes later, she came back to ask us if we needed anything else. No toast and his eggs were beyond cold at this point. I asked for the check. The waitress was very apologetic and I felt really bad for her. Customers should be made aware as soon as possible that what they are ordering isn't available so they can then make the decision to stay or go. Not wait almost an hour and be brought food that is cold and not what they wanted. The table beside us also received their food sans biscuits and were not told ahead of time. There were also only 2 girls working and mainly the 1 girl. Good concept....but if your main thing is forks and biscuits...you should probably have both and they should be exceptional.

Our waitress was friendly and nice but not the best at bringing utensils, cream, sugar, refills etc. the food was horrible. They were out of a lot of menu items. The biscuits were stale and incredibly crumbly. The chicken on my biscuit was dry, overcooked and tasted as if it was cooked in old oil or something. My dining partner’s “sausage” was odd tasting and odd smelling. Like … was it soysage infused with maple syrup? No clue. I do not recommend this place.Wheelchair accessibility: Doesn’t look accessible. There is one step up that is a big step to get in.

Overall, the service was lovely, and the restaurant was clean. However, the food was sub para. The biscuit was dry, the sausage was frozen patties, and the tea tasted old and bitter.

Had the worst dining experience here in over 10 years. The biscuits were dry and just fell apart with every bite of the sandwich. Service was terribly slow and servers hangout in kitchen and there were only 4 tables occupied. Table near us ordered an IPA beer several times over to finally get a Bud Light (sooo comical... best part of being in there). I've seen some good reviews for this place... but they weren't living up to those reviews today. One patron told some people that walked in the door and stood there waiting for someone to greet them that she recommended they go somewhere else as they just got new management and they place obviously went downhill fast. Maybe a bad day here, but everything about our visit was horrible... won't be back. Sorry... we wanted it to be good and it was not.... honestly, we've made much better biscuits with Bisquick.

I love biscuits and gravy. I do not love these cold, hard, crumbly biscuits. Four out of 5 of us could not eat these hard hockey pucks. Spent almost $70 bucks for inedible food. The server was nice enough but never questioned the nearly untouched dishes that were served and left on table with only a bite or two taken from each bowl. Failed or ignored that there was an issue. Most servers would have questioned if there was a problem. This one said nothing. Maybe an off day, maybe another day would be better. Not going to try again. Left and went across the street to eat at another restaurant because we had not eaten. Another $50 bucks spent there satisfied everyone. If I could have given zero stars I would have. Glad others had better experiences. We hit bottom on this one.

I hate to do this but I want to warn everyone! I loved this restaurant when I went three weeks ago but I just went yesterday, 2/18/2023, and they have all new wait staff. Something happened. Even the Manager didn’t seem to know what he was doing. No one could even find the specialty drink menu for brunch and they definitely couldn’t make any of the drinks. We waited an hour and a half and only got our drinks (regular mimosas - it was all the waitress knew how to make!) but never even got to place our food order. I thought my girls and me had a new brunch place but don’t waste your time - they have some serious issues going on here! How disappointing :-(

My fiancé and I have been looking for a place in town that had really good homemade biscuits. We have been wanting to try Fork ~ N ~ Biscuit for a while. We were not disappointed! All of the food was amazing! Good portion size and very flavorful! The server was friendly. We will definitely be back.

Classic Southern fare. While the portion was bigger than I expected, and in a nontraditional format, it was tasty enough. Server was excellent, very helpful and fast. Altogether a great place for breakfast or brunch.

Worst breakfast ever! The sausage gravy has little to no flavor. I wasn’t even sure if there was sausage in it. It was disgusting . We ordered the cinnamon roll too and was less than impressed. It had an almost sour smell to it.The waitress was very kind but it took her forever to remember to bring anything we asked for and forget about getting refills on our drinks. She literally came to the table and would then disappear for 15 minutes. She would come by the table to “check” on us and completely forget about everything we had asked for such as silverware, ketchup, etc. I had one good experience at this restaurant early on and I really want it to succeed but they need to get it together. That one good experience keeps bringing me back but that’s getting old. I also happened to observe many other tables around me having issues with the service and food. I should mention the server was different so it appears to be a widespread problem. I truly hope this restaurant will get it together. If the food was great, it would make up for the poor service.

Disclaimer: We went the day after Christmas when most restaurants were closed downtown and they were short staffed. We waited about 5 minutes for the hostess/waitress/busgirl to greet us. There were several empty tables uncleared which should have been a clue but we were not in a hurry so we waited to be seated after the waitress cleared a table for us. We ordered after about 10 minutes knowing she was in the weeds so expectations were pretty low already. We ordered scotch and deviled eggs for appetizers. Both were basic. Brunch was steak and eggs (awful cut of beef), Old Dominion Big Breakfast with scrapple (scrapple was good), waffle and chicken sandwich (could have chipped a tooth on the chicken!), and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were simply AWFUL! If you name your place Fork 'N Biscuits, you'd think their forks would be the same size (they weren't) and their biscuits would at LEAST be edible - neither were! The bonus were the bottomless mimosas but at $20 a person, I wonder if I would have left a one star review without it!

Food was great. Large servings. The staff was very nice, patient, friendly and helpful. The pot pie was large enough we could have shared it!

It's ok but they undercooked my eggs Benedict. It's fine in a pinch but I wouldn't go out of my way.

I only leave positive reviews on Yelp but this experience was too bad not to warn people. The atmosphere in this place is dark and decorated like my mom's house in 90s --and not in a cute reminiscent way. The service was the worst I've ever had and I'm a millennial so it takes a lot for me to notice bad service. We weren't given silverware and we weren't offered a second round of mimosas or even asked if we wanted another drink at all when our glasses had been empty for at least 15 minutes. They were empty when our waitress set the food down and still, she didn't say anything or take the empty glasses. The table was so small we ended up having to set our empty glasses on the floor to make room after she brought us water we requested. When we asked for utensils, ketchup and the glasses of water, the waitress acted annoyed and bothered. And the food was the worst breakfast I've ever had in my life. I got the corned beef hash and eggs with a biscuit. I ordered my eggs over medium and they were so undercooked the membrane of the yolk was still in tact. The biscuit was the driest, most overcooked biscuit I've ever seen. Bojangles biscuits are 1000x better. And this place is supposedly known for their biscuits -- it's literally in the name! The corned beef hash....I have no idea what it was. It was literal chunks of beef or pork fat? Not corned beef at all. I had to spit it out after one bite. My sister's chicken and waffle sandwich was just two soggy tenders on a waffle that was so dry it crumbled when you touched it. It was so bad that we lost our appetite for the rest of the day.
