I ordered crispy chicken wings and French fries off the the happy hour menu. I ate the fries but took the wings to work with me for my night shift. I was shocked when I bit into the wing it was tough meat and the wing was not properly cooked I could see the pink flesh. I called 12/23/23 and asked to speak to the manager. I waited over 10 minutes and the manager didn’t answer so I hung up. This review should get their attention. I have pictures

What a wonderful find! Chelsea did a great job as our server and the food was amazing. The Cesar salad with chicken and chicken sandwich were top notch along with the truffle fries. Don't skip the biscuit with whipped peanut butter.

What a fabulous place with great menu and hospitality to match. We had waffles & chicken, pimento toasts, and a delicious spicy scramble.

The "Foode" here was great. But the wait for a table (told 20 minutes, was more than 45) was not so great. We finally acquiesced to sitting outside, th ough my elderly sister didn't want to because it was windy. When we saw a table for 2 in the sun and asked to sit there and not inside (which was still not open). We had to grab a seat from another open table as there were 3 of us. Once settled, the food was fabulous and the server, Ashley, was adorable. One sister had the ham and cheddar omelet (though it ended up arriving with bacon instead, she accepted it anyway) with home fries; my other sister and I both chose the fried chicken sandwiches with french fries and truffles/Asiago (her) and potato salad (me, I didn't like that the potatoes were barely done, with a slight crunch in them, want them all the way boiled). So would we come again, No. I don't believe so. I'm glad they are so busy that it's hard to find seats. But it's a small venue and maybe they didn't have enough staff that day. But there are other places in the historic district.

Hostess made room for us despite not having a reservation. Waitress was very pleasant though a little slow. But the food was dog water. My plate was just meh Two people in my party got a chicken plate and the smell made me want to spew. Our app was underwhelming.Everything was overpriced. Worst part was I had talked up Merchantile to someone in my party and planned to take them there for brunch the next day only to find that Foode IS Merchantile. This place was so bad they ruined two meals in a row. The two star is One for the hostessOne for the waitress

Love the location and decor. Just fun and eclectic. Interesting artwork on the walls. The food was good. We got the baked feta for an appetizer which was delicious. The figs were the highlight. I had the quail and it didn't disappoint. It had a great taste profile. My husband had the shrimp and grits and loved it. Other guests in our party had the chicken and liked it but probably wouldn't get it again because they felt that the seasoning was underwhelming. If you stay for dessert, get the cookies. They were warm and wonderful! Service was good, but I felt like we were being rushed through. We weren't in a hurry at all and the restaurant wasn't crowded, but we felt that everything was rushed, like everyone wanted to leave early. It was odd, so we'd like to give it another try.

A very cool place in a historic bank building with an interesting menu. Our meals were fantastic; I had a breakfast chorizo “hash” that was actually a great mix of grilled vegetables, sausage and eggs. My wife had lunch and an excellent shredded chicken sandwich. All that at a reasonable price. We will return when we are in Fredericksburg again.

Again, another restaurant that has been bookmarked for a while... is finally checked off and will definitely be on my frequent list. Midday Friday brunch here was delicious!! The service was timely. The decor was traditional and hip. I enjoy hot "stove to table" food and Foode definitely delivered!! The chicken and waffles... both perfect in every way. The chorizo hash... tasty. I look forward to more visits to try other menu items.

Foodie is my go to Sunday brunch spot especially after church. I usually get the Shrimp and Grits which are great. They have good drinks and oh my gotta try the biscuit w butter/jam. On this trip I had Chicken and Waffle and was a little let down. The waffle was delish but the chicken was ‍. They use chicken breast which is difficult because if overcooked it is dry and this was dry. The chicken had ok flavor but I surmise the thought was most flavor would come from syrup and/or waffle. The atmosphere is nice and I can't downgrade the rating based off of one meal. Everything else I've had here has been excellent and the service is consistently good.

I had lunch at Foode today. We were seated in the vault at this old bank building. The decor was attractive and the room was quiet, good for having conversations with my lunch mates. My Portabello Market salad was very tasty however, there was no Portabello mushroom anywhere to be found. When I asked about it, the waitress said Portobello was a reference to a street in London. This is not a common reference for those of us in the USA. I felt mislead and I expected to find some Portobello mushrooms in my salad.

Unnecessary wait, the waiters gave my food to someone else who comes regularly, even though I ordered before they sat down. Food was dry

Wife had the avocado toast and really enjoyed it. I had a waffle, couple of eggs and link sausage and also enjoyed it. Menu is not extensive, which I view as a positive factor. It's located in an old bank building and it's very neat! Go and enjoy!

My wife and I had breakfast here on a Monday morning. This is a great place for breakfast and it would have scored 5/5, but for a couple of service issues. First, the positives: - Stylish and cool venue, in a former bank. You can eat in the safe vault if you like (the original massive safe door is still in place). But even if you don't eat in the safe, it's still a very cool place, designed by someone with a great sense of style. - The breakfast menu has a good range of choices, with southern influenced dishes that we would have loved to try more of (we were tourists from the UK). - I chose a kind of breakfast hash, I don't remember exactly what, but it was great and set me up for the day. My wife had an omelette that was also very good. So what was the let down? - The food came out of the kitchen a bit cold. It had clearly been standing for a few minutes. - My wife's omelette was supposed to be (if I remember) spinach, asparagus and feta. She requested to leave out the feta, but the chef left out the asparagus instead. I think these issues may simply have occured because we were among the first customers. The restaurant advertises that it opens for breakfast only from 8:30, but I had got confused and we turned up at 8:00, as had a few other people. The proprietor realised we were outside and opened up early at 08:15, which was thoughtful. But she was then a bit stretched, because the rest of the staff apart from the chef only arrived at 09:00. 08:30 is late to open for breakfast, but then Fredericksburg is a pretty sleepy place and there were not many customers before 09:00, so maybe it doesn't make sense to have more staff on duty earlier. All in all, I might be a bit harsh docking a point. But there it is, you can make up your own mind. We would definitely go back again if we were to visit Fredericksburg in future. I'm pretty sure they do by far the best breakfast in town, and in the nicest venue.
