A nasty dump you'll smell like an ashtray and need to wash your clothes and shower at least twice after you leave. Food has gone way downhill, expensive, like $13 for a salad, and there are flying bugs like crazy. Some servers are great others will let you rot at your table waiting for them to acknowledge your presence.

I have not been to hard times in a few years there isn't one in Caroline where I live but I wanted to take my son out to eat for lunch so I picked him up from work and went all the way down to the Falmouth bridge and realized that hard times isn't hard times anymore so we then went back up to 4 Mile fork and oh my gosh the food was so good it was kind of slow for a late lunch I think it was like 1:30 but we got the chili sampler I think Travis has only been there one time awhile ago he really like the chili he got his favorite, chicken tenders and I got the whiskey barbecue burger oh my gosh it was so good. We also got a large nachos I asked her if she could put the tomatoes onions and jalapenos on the side cuz I don't eat those and Travis likes them and he answered to put the sour cream on the side cuz he doesn't particularly care for sour cream so she brings us this huge platter of chips with the chili of our choice the Texas Chili and shredded cheese and these smaller dishes with sour cream onion tomatoes jalapenos all in separate little things and the large was very large we could have ate that and been full it was very very good I brought home a big container of nachos to have leftover for a midnight snack Travis brought home a few chicken tenders and fries because it was a lot of chicken tenders and fries I tried to eat most of my burger but I wound up bringing home half because the thing is enormous I asked her to have it medium and it was perfect it was pink throughout the entire patty and when they say it's not frozen and it's hand pressed I believe it that was such a big thick juicy perfectly cooked burger and the fries you could tell they had cut them fresh they were not frozen everything was just amazing The atmosphere was nice it's not bright but it's not dark it's just right with lights all against the walls some country music playing and she even gave us to go cups so we can put the rest of her drinks in and take with us for free The waitress was such a sweetheart we will definitely be going back so if you're looking for a nice atmosphere wonderful people fantastic food you've got to try hard times cafe.

I love going to listen to rock bands . The crowd is good. Went there for other types of music taste and people seemed uptight. I saw this women go and punch her bf in the face for looking at other women . Sad. Food is excellent . Rock bands kick butt there .Parking: Lots of parking . You will see motorcycles outside sometimes .

This is our favorite place to shoot pool. The wife and I try to make it out at least once a week. We have a great time playing pool and having drinks. The staff is excellent and though often understaffed they still do a good job of checking on all the customers.

I enjoy coming to hard times but to require a $20 cover charge at midnight after the band has stopped playing is beyond ridiculous. I truly hope they can figure their internal problems out, so they don’t affect the paying customers..

Friends and I went to hard times on a Saturday night. We all got food and drinks, when we got are bill it was $224.00 for just the two of us. The other couples bill was $117.00. The next day we looked at are bank statement they charged us 224.00 and 204.00. I then went to Hard Times and spoke with the manager. The manager said that was normal. It would come off in a couple days they charged our bank account twice. so now we're having to fight to get it taken off. I would not recommend coming to this Hard Times and using a debit card.
