Their menu has completely changed and they no longer have any vegan options. We were told they had "unseasoned tofu" they could fix us with veggies, but nothing on the menu is vegan or can be veganized. They need to take "vegan options" down from their page both here and on Google. I appreciate our very kind bartender who checked for us and was very apologetic that their current menu is outdated everywhere online.

In town for brunch and the service and ambiance was so lovely. I got a homemade biscuit with their apple-pear compote and an iced vanilla latte. All delicious fresh and larger than life.

Such a fun location. Service was great! Food was good and well portioned. I ordered the Cilaquiles and my husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, which we both recommend. Jen, was wonderful, thank you!

Chicken was delicious and so where do potatoes. I'm not a broccolini kind of person though. Service was great and the setting was nice of Historical character .

Great service and food. Went at lunchtime. Husband and I both got the burger. Cooked just as we asked. Loved that they had French fry choices. Husband got the herb fries and I got the truffle, parmesan fries.

I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, my wife ordered the Two Egg Breakfast with a Biscuit served with fresh creme and fruit. The biscuits were not fresh and very hard. The gravy was essentially 80% ground sausage (not well seasoned) and was stacked on top of the scrambled egg instead of the biscuits. The eggs and potatoes were very good, but the bacon came out burnt to a crisp. Our server/bartender was good, but the other bartender was throwing glasses and bottles into the wash bin at what seemed like as hard as they could. Drinks were mediocre (pineapple mimosa and scrub mojito). You're mainly paying for the atmosphere as the restaurant is quite lovely, but the food just simply isn't worth the return visit.

This place is incredible. Awesome history and a great place for brunch. Bloody Mary was on the money, very hearty and fresh. The chicken biscuit HIT like no one's business. Super cool place really enjoyed.

Update from a month agoUnfortunately, just like so many other places, there is a lack of consistency when it comes to quality of food, specifically for phone, take out ordersI have ordered this item a couple of times and each time the quality of the food served was less than I expected. The last time the chorizo was greasy, some of the potatoes were cold/hard and shortly after eating this, it upset my stomach; probably the grease.I was not going to return, but decided to try the vegetarian version. Instead of egg whites, the cook decided to do a fried egg. I was not in the mood for sending food back or having to wait for my order to be prepared correctly. This is why I expect my order to be repeated back to me, of which it was, yet my order was still not prepared correctly. My egg whites are always scrambled and there was yellow in the egg indicating that there was yoke and not egg whites.?This lack of consistency eliminates my desire to patronize this establishment...at least for phone, take out orders. ?Initial reviewWas looking for a good brunch with good reviews. This place appeared to be worth a try. Glad that I tried it.?Only street parking available, but able to find parking directly across the street. Unfortunately, only steps and no ramp available to enter. ? Also, the door is very heavy and as soon as you push the door to come in, there is very little room to stand while wanting to be seated because not that big; the door is very heavy to pull to exit. ?Ordered the chorizo hash and dark cocoa biscuit. The chorizo hash was a pleasant suprise and a healthy serving size. Looking forward to ordering that dish again. Would definitely recommend.Did not know what to expect for the biscuit. It was a bit dry, too thick and a little hard on the outside. It was edible, but I was not impressed...$4 for 1 biscuit is ridiculous. ?

We stopped a place called Foode.I was looking for a place coffee, sweets and breakfast, to accommodate 8 before heading to the airport, to say goodbye. It was Saturday morning found handicap parking right across the street, as well with the other 2 parking spots very easy to find on the street. The indoor sitting was occupied but, we where happy to be seated outdoors. Even though we sat at separated tables, we didn't mind. We enjoyed the fresh air, scenery and the bird's chirping. The server was friendly, accommodating to special dietary needs and very helpful with recommendation. I ordered 2 eggs they were seasoned and tasty, hash browns homemade seasoned cooked just right, homemade biscuit w/butter/jam. The others ordered mouth watering chocolate chip biscuits w/peanut butter. A delicious warm sweet pear coffee cake, a warm Fig walnut caramel cake Absolutely delicious. Coffee's cappuccino. I would definitely recommend and return here on my next visit to Fredericksburg VA.Dietary restrictions: Excellent chief, makes dishes to accommodate your special needs.Parking: Street parking, handicap accessible parking spots.

We came here on a Sunday morning around 9 and it was not packed, we got seated immediately. The location was great, right on the corner. We got seated on the couch in the front of the restaurant and it was soooo nice. I loved the decor, the back vault was super cute.My fiance ordered the coffee which he LOVED. He's a avid coffee drinker and loved the dark roast. I ordered the vanilla latte and it was one of the best I've ever had. I got one to go! I ordered the scramble of the day with sausage and dried tomatoes. It was good but I thought the eggs were cooked a little hard so ask for how you like your eggs cooked. My fiance ordered the biscuits and gravy and said it was "top notch". The gravy was a little spicy to ME but not to my fiance. The potatoes were ok. Nothing special. Overall, I really loved the vibe here and my food was great and great customer service. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but it was Sunday morning on Nov 5.

The chicken sandwich was tasty but either had been previously prepared and left in warmer or left on the pass too long...
