A great little spot in downtown Fredericksburg - I was recommended Osan after getting a sandwich at "The Worst Deli" in a different part of Fredericksburg. I heard they split off and started their own place at a sushi joint, so we decided to take a look! The restaurant is small, but not in a bad way. It's a cozy feeling and it has a good ambiance to it. We were seated immediately and surprised by all of the options. The bar seems like the best seat in the house where you get to watch the sushi being made, however we opted for a table. We started with the Chicken Yakitori which was stellar and I would love a whole entree of just this chicken, that's how good it was!My husband is not a sushi eater, so he always goes for Chicken Katsu. He enjoyed his entree, miso, but was a little taken back by the salad included. This was mainly because we're used to the familiar ginger-carrot dressing that is usually included at sushi restaurants. He said it tested a lot more peppery and more like mayo than he was used to. Nonetheless, he still cleared that bowl!I ordered a Shrimp Tempura Roll which was delicious, albeit a bit small in the portion sizing than I'm used to for the price.I also ordered the Jaeyook Bokkeum, which is a Korean spicy marinated pork. I was happy to see more Korean food on the menu and wasn't expecting that. I was told it was about comparable in spice to a medium wing. As someone who moved here from Buffalo, NY, I would say it's a little bit less than a true medium. Enough to make your lips feel a bit warm, but the flavors were great. I would get more in a heartbeat if my stomach could fit all the meat on the plate they serve it on. It also comes with a side of rice if you needed something to help cool your mouth down if you like spice but aren't quite equipped to handle it.I always love to see what people order here while eating and it is overwhelmingly the bento boxes. Because this was already such a fantastic outing, I think that will be on the docket for the next visit!

WOW! I really cannot express how amazing my first time was here! The service is SPECTACULAR! The chef herself Came and greeted us, and it was just very welcoming. Our server was amazing with his recommendations. I ordered the chefs special items... each bite was flavorful, and you can tell everything is made to perfection!!! I will definitely be coming back here again. Amazing sushi, GREAT quality! And I can't even begin with how the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, the dim lighting makes it romantic for a perfect lunch / dinner date! Very clean. 10/10 experience

Outstanding food. Especially sashimi and tempura. All-time favorite. I don't have the best pictures because we just started to eat right after we got dishes. Their fish quality is really the best. It's very similar to the well aged fish you get in Korea or Japan. No matter what you order, all of their dishes are delicious. Enjoy!!

Osan is great. We eat here all the time over the years. There are cheaper sushi places out there but they aren’t quite as great or as fresh, so important for sushi. The people are friendly too.In addition to the sushi, their stir fried meals (like the bento boxes) aren’t badly priced and are good, especially for people who don’t like sushi or anything raw. Also the tempura udon noodle soup.
