“We were traveling with family and our local friend Shreenivasan took us at this place. The food was delicious and service was way beyond 5 stars. The staff was so humble, that we didn’t recognize that owner was one of them. We will definitely recommend this place to everyone.!”

The food was so good Joe could have punched me in the back of the head and I still would have said thank you. Sunday afternoons are made better by places like this. “My MOM and I stopped by Outback after PT session # 8 (left knee replacement). Promptly greeted by Tracey, our server, who was amazing!! Attentive, comical, patient, friendly, great food recommendations and she surprised MOM with a slice of cheesecake for her 77th-bornday! Ask for Tracy!!”

“Food and service are excellent. I haven't found a bad food item yet, though if you get the BBQ burget beware, it is a lot of burger.Most BBQ burgers are beef patties with BBQ sauce, this is a beef patty with pulled pork on top. It's like having a pulled pork sandwich and a burger in the same meal. Very good, but prepare to be stuffed.Also, if you are going to get corn bread make sure to get two servings for each person. The cornbread is excellent, but one piece just isn't enough.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is mostly accessible, but the main ordering area is at the bar, which is not very wheelchair friendly. Plus, the bar backs to several booths, meaning there is not sufficient space to turn around a wheelchair. You'll probably have to reverse away.Dining in may also be challenging as most of the seats are booths. There is a small area with tables in the middle, which might work if you need to bring in a wheelchair. But it is tight.I'm not sure how accessible the restrooms are (I have not used them). However, access means going past the bar, which is challenging sometimes for able bodied people when other people are sitting at the bar. I doubt a wheelchair would fit without asking everyone to get up.”

“Basically our neighborhood pub. Great little place. So many microbreweries make beer that is heavy and starchy. These guys make good clean beer. Highly recommend.”

“We tried Mass 29 on a friend’s recommendation and it did not disappoint! From the ambience to the service to the food and wine, everything was amazing! My husband had the beef tibs, an Ethiopian dish that was delicious. I had the flank steak. It was perfectly cooked to my liking with creamy mashed potatoes and a Gorgonzola sauce. Our wine, Silk and Spice was delicious. We tried and lived the sambusas- had a little spice but not too much. We’re taking the lemon dessert home for later. We can’t wait to go back. Prices were reasonable too.”

“Always a great experience! The food was delicious and the chef put on an amazing show while cooking. The scallops were cooked perfectly and so delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a balloon hat and cake for my daughter after dinner!”

“Actually like the concept of pour your own bars. No offense to the folks working there because they did an excellent job, but it's a little faster to the beer! This is a great venue for enjoying local bands, but their sound system needs some work.”

“Fantastic winery! Beautiful location! Wonderful staff and family. The 2020 Dry Resiling was amazing! I typically enjoy Alsatian whites and this was similar! Great surprise! My company held an event here a few weeks ago and the staff were incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure our team and guests had a great experience. I will be back with my friends & family! Our company plans to return next year!”

“We went for late lunch/brunch at the brass cannon Sunday for Easter and we loved everything, the ambiance was great because it was not noisy, as it was 2:30pm, we had the best table by the window facing the golf course, our food was excellent, deviled eggs and crab Benedict , and we loved the fact that it was “a la carte “menu and not a buffet, it’s nice to choose whatever a person wants, and we had the best service from our server Pamela :) Thank you !”

“The sushi rolls are mid-level, but considering the options in Gainesville, probably the best local place I’ve had yet. The staff are kind, they did forget parts of our order but did eventually get it out to us. The fish is good grade fish, tastes fresh, no hint of “fishy-ness”. The simple rolls had an extremely thin layer of rice to my surprise; patchily showing the seaweed underneath. However the specialty rolls were delicious, so definitely order those.”

“Would love to give it a 5 star, but the women's restroom smells like sewer gas and made me feel sick to my stomach.Service and food were amazing. I had the surf and turf and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had raw oysters and my daughter had crab legs. We all loved our food. My husband also loves the crab stuffed flounder.Vegetarian options: Very limited vegetarian options.Parking: There is a short walk to get into restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They have chicken strips and Mac and cheese for picky eaters and lots of other options for not picky eaters. Very kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: You could easily get a wheelchair in and out.”

“I went for the 1st time since living here locally in 7 years. The waitress Marah, the bartender Brandon n the manager were all very personable. I'm very particular with my food and drinks, but everything ordered was fresh and delicious. I would definitely visit again soon.”

“Rice was a tad undercooked as it had a bit of a bit to it, meaning it had a crunch. Not good for rice. Server forgot my daughter's appetizer and dessert, so not good. It was super late, near closing, so I would do a 3.5 but it's not an option. Will surely go back.”

“Best food! I love it every time I got it's do good! I recommend the carnitas fajitas! I love the service there! The server was so amazing love her! She brought my daughter an extra sprite after she finished and more chips when we finished.”

“On my most recent visit, Savanah and Cesar provided excellent service. The fixing bar was well stocked with fresh produce. The tables, floor, and restrooms were clean and tidy as was the parking lot. The Gainesville location is obviously well managed with an impressive staff. With freshly prepared, flavorful, economical food, I look forward to our next visit.”

“My husband and I went there for the 2nd time today and it was as good as it was the 1st time. We were sat down and welcomed by Bobby. He was very friendly and gave us suggestions on an appetizer. We will definitely be back for a 3rd visit next time we are in the Charlottesville area.”
