“Customers beware. Let me start by saying that the food is great. However, this place is ripping people off by charging for a side which, according to the menu, should be included on some items - Chopped chicken, Lamb Gyro etc. I brought it to the attention of the manager. She did nothing other than charge me for the side and refer me to corporate. Very disappointing!“
“I don't love being sat outside with nowhere to place my purse unless I literally just plop it on the concrete ground. The ambience is non existent but we're still praying the same bill. They've also stopped serving the Chipotle salsa with the chips & guac and that was a let down.“
“Ask for the back room if you like a quieter space where you can more easily have a conversation. Our server was a dream - perfectly attentive, accommodating, and polite to my aging and innocently intoxicated parents. The food ranged from good to exceptionally good. We tried a variety of surf-and-turf entrees with sides like cheesy potatoes, broccolini, and shoe string fries. Members of our party ordered steaks in every temperature - medium rare, medium well, and well done. Every steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. When the manager came to check on us later in the meal, it wasn't the typical low energy drive-by, but a genuine interest and calming presence that stayed just long enough before floating on to the next table. Kudos to this restaurant and their excellent staff.“
“Great time! Taco Tuesday is where it's at! They gave Brad a fancier mule cup than mine, but you know it was before I got there, so no hard feelings. Went for a work outting but would visit on another day to watch a game if that was my thing.“
“I had lunch with a friend last Friday. This was the first time for me. Our service was perfect & this was with a girl in training. I had the Crispy Cobb Salad & added grilled chicken. It was delicious & I ate half & took the other home. Large, great salad. I am anxious to go again with my husband. I know he'll enjoy it. Pat“
“I visit the short pump location often, it serves the best spicy and crispy chicken in town, for sure. I like spicy food, so I like choosing the hottest spicy category here. “We loved everything from beginning to end. Very friendly efficient waitress. Draft Beer and drinks were perfect. The pretzel is huge and wonderful and the beer cheese was the best I've had in this area. We tried cornbread, smoked Gouda grits and cheeseburgers. My husband said the it was the best burger he has ever had! Nightingale ice cream sandwich was unbelievably good. And the general came around to make sure everything was great and she was very nice and obviously cares about the customers. Very impressed - we will be back!“

“Very good veggie sub! It has actual grilled veggies, not just lettuce, tomatoes and onions. He asked if I wanted the 6" or 12", and I made the mistake of getting the 12", with fries. It's huge! The 6" is more than enough.“

He's a little picky sometimes. But the waitress Ash has to be the coolest person I've met in a while. She catered to the kids like she was part of the fam.The ambiance is definitely local bar. However, they cook steak and cheese like it's a big city spot. There's pool tables and great music.If you're fancy...go anyway and enjoy some live music on a Friday or Saturday. Take your friends. “We ordered the Mother's Day Brunch for 6 as opposed to going out to the expensive MD brunches around town for a change. The food was truly excellent in all respects and we have enough left for two more meals. And we saved a ton of money. I cannot say enough about the food at Ray's. Truly exceptional.“

There is no negativity and no drama here like other local bars on Williamsburg Road. The bartender is amazing and your tab will not get jacked up like at other local venues. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised at really good food and service in a very clean and relaxed environment I can't say enough good things about Sportsman Restaurant and Lounge. “This place is the best kept secret in the west end. Everyone from the management and especially the great wait staff. Was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The food is exactly what I needed after a hard day at work and Kimbo was the perfect waitress. I highly recommend sitting in her section. “We stayed here last minute one night. Check in was easy. The lobby was open and clean. Our room was fine and I liked the balcony! There is an indoor pool but no hot tub. The staff was friendly during my stay. The shower was cold is my only complaint. I let it run more than 5 minutes to see if that would help and ended up just having to jump in and shiver. It never got beyond lukewarm. There is no free breakfast but there was complimentary coffee and some nearby breakfast restaurants. It seemed safe to park outside the hotel. Overall a good choice for hotel except the cold shower.“
“This was my first time in Virginia and I saw so many waffle houses during our drive so I had to check it out! I ordered hash browns, chocolate waffles, and coffee and the total was only $10.00. For the price you pay, the food was amazing. The inside looked like a diner and the staff was very accommodating to our large group. I want to go back!!“
“It was strange to eat at Waffle House during the day and actually seeing a full staff.It was refreshing to see everyone having a good time, cooking, serving, and enjoying the music. The moral started off great.The food was good as always. My only complaint was ordering an Arnold Palmer and paying for a container of lemonade, but only getting half of it to mix with the tea. The atmosphere made up for the difference, so all is well.“
“Went Saturday and was delightfully surprised by a wonderful live musician. (I believe his name was Mike? I already forgot. ?) Got the usual seafood fettuccine Alfredo with calimari and was delighted as usual. The food's been delicious and the service has been fantastic for over 25 years, so I can't complain! ❤️My only real complaint was that the calamari was slightly crispier than usual, but I'm a sucker for slightly undercooked batter.(Confused about the “Italian Mexican Menu” they handed me. Not sure why you'd order Mexican at the Italian restaurant, so I didn't try it. I'm sure it's also good. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)“
“Unique spot offering a taste of what’s good in this world. Got the hava nagila dilla (turkey Reuben) and villa dilla (chicken carbonara), nacho problem, and fresh-pressed lemonade (half sugar). Nachos are faster than dillas — could treat nachos like an app if you are dining in. Dillas had the PERFECT crisp and really thoughtful ingredient combos — felt like a more nutritious, sandwich-like quesadilla. Lemonade took me back to my childhood.“
