“Sportsman Restaurant and Lounge is simply the best place to have a beer, shoot pool, throw darts, listen to great live music and meet good down to earth friends. There is no negativity and no drama here like other local bars on Williamsburg Road. The bartender is amazing and your tab will not get jacked up like at other local venues. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised at really good food and service in a very clean and relaxed environment I can't say enough good things about Sportsman Restaurant and Lounge. My son and I go here regularly and absolutely love it every time we always have a blast! You will too, I promise!“
“Wow, totally wow. The Barrel Proof Wellers Whiskey was unreal, best whiskey I’ve ever had. Daniel is not a bartender he is a connoisseur of spirits unlike any other. Must try the smoked Duck breast, you’ve never ever had Duck until you’ve had it here. Definitely an absolute Richmond gem.“
“I can't say enough great things about this place! I have become a regular there which says a lot since I don't really go out much these days. It's literally and figuratively a family atmosphere. I was able to take my son to celebrate his birthday and introduce him to some great local bands. The staff are super friendly, the food is great and everyone there is just really friendly. The new owners have really turned this place around and destined to become the new "hot spot" for live music.“
“We did Door Dash. Our burgers were huge, not overcooked! Fries were skinny and crisp. Toppings were on the side in a separate container. Arrived hot. Would have done 5 stars if the cheese had been put on the burger and not buried under lettuce, pickles, Onions and tomatoes in the separate toppings box. That was odd.“

“Had to be the best burger I’ve had yet. My server Derrick was on top of service and made sure I wasn’t left without anything. He was really easy to talk to and made the experience that much greater. The environment was super relaxing and the music just topped it off. I’ll be sure to stop here every time I fly into Richmond, VA. 10/10 highly recommended“
“Firstly, I am a huge fan of the band and crew and everyone behind the project known as GWAR. We came to town for one of their shows, and my partner is vegetarian, so we needed good vegetarian food. Well wouldn't you know, this place has everything you could ask for. Strong drinks, good veggie-head food, good meat eater food, and the best atmosphere I could ask for. So awesome. Cheers to the front of house and cooks as well. My taste buds aren't biased by my love for the band, literally everything here was 10/10 delicious. Thank you so much for the memory. “The food was great! Along with the customer service! I had the seafood fries, bang’n shrimp and the kids nuggets/tenders. I was late to a birthday celebration so I didn’t get to try anything fancy. Everything came out quick, with no issues. Their bathroom was super clean. I recommend trying, especially during their Thursday Happy Hour!“
“I enjoy this venue however they have a mouse or rat problem big time. We were at a show a few weekends ago and I watched one giant rodent run past my feet into their kitchen.... very alarming. I brought it up to staff they didn't seem too worried. I hope they are aware but I wouldn't eat anything from here...I do enjoy the shows and venue is really nice how it is split off and they have the outside area and you can go in and out as you please !“
“Food and service were great. Staff was friendly and attentive. Cool, laid back atmosphere but quite loud when they have live music. We went with friends who we hadn't seen in awhile and it was difficult to carry a conversation. Great signer and music though!“
“This is a really great place to watch the game. Loads of great beers and drinks for everyone. They had Falcon Smash and Clever girl on tap. What more do you need.The appetizers are really solid and the entrees are plenty of food.The staff here does a great job at pacing drinks and food/apps during the game. They do a good job at staggering apps and food while being on top of drinks.Highly recommend for games.“
“This is still a smoking bar (with a tiny back room for non-smoking to comply with law), so if you have a problem with smoke, stay away.Good is good,but just your basic bar food. Nothing really special, but it's always cooked well. Burgers are awesome. Wings are great, but beware. Even mild are VERY hot.Staff is wonderful. Friendly and prompt.Wheelchair accessibility: All one level. No steps and tables are spaced well, so easy to navigate.“
“A little off putting when I first walked in. Definitely a water hole for local. Took a little bit for the bartender to notice me. Only because you can they have fun joking around with each other. But service was good, the atmosphere was calm and friendly. The ower was cool. I will definitely be back.“
“Excellent service, food was off the chain.Plenty of wall mounted televisions, even after I moved a few times as friends and family joined us, I still had line of sight to watch UNC beat Duke.Had a someone right there whenever we need refills, drinks, silverware, whatever. Always on time.“
“Went here on a whim with a friend. There's designated parking on the side of the building, tho very limited. Expect the pat down and purse check. Music and crowd were mixed. Fairly crowded! However, for so many people being inside, with no real "direction" at the bar, we started a tab/ordered and were served really quickly each time we approached. Drinks were okay. The food? Bar food. There are games in the back and karaoke in the front. Pool, basketball, and I believe the game is called "Cornhole"? I felt safe the entire time, and there were no "incidents". Also never a line for the restroom!! Win! Id return.Parking: Free parking along the side of the building. And very limited.“
“Typical bar/billiards environment, very no frills and fits the bill for what I was expecting. Clean enough but nothing to cheer about. Food was excellent across the four of us who visited. The wings really stood out and were done just right. Bartender was also responsible for waitress duties so having an extra set of hands to help out would benefit this place despite the friendly nature of the server. Kitchen was a bit slow on a night that wasn't particularly busy to begin with. Still worth going for the food alone. Great prices on the menu too. Solid 4.“
“Great time! Taco Tuesday is where it's at! They gave Brad a fancier mule cup than mine, but you know it was before I got there, so no hard feelings. Went for a work outting but would visit on another day to watch a game if that was my thing.“
