“Antonio's food is reliably tasty. We've ordered the supreme pizza, lasagna and antipasto. Very friendly staff and owner! 3rd party service, however, is inconsistent, so recommend picking up your food. Have not yet eaten in.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps from parking to sidewalk, wide doorway, room enough indoors. Not sure if their restroom is accessible.”
“Nice home town place. Food was good, they don't overload your plate with tons of extra carbs and not loaded in butter. instead portion size is just right, you butter your own toast. Fantastic if you want to manage what you eat. I'm happy I chose this place.”
“Such a delight to shop and see all the supplies. Not many places in Richmond where you can find boxes and containers for cupcakes anymore. Prices are great too. Definitely going back!”
“I love a good tastin dough on the pizza I'm eating. I believe that Anna's would take the prize home. Well made, good size, always a treat to enjoy. They do sell slices. That's what hooked me. Subs with fries, ya buddy, nice and tasty.I hadn't tried any of the other dishes yet, but I saw Mama come out with a plate that got a big wow that looked delicious.”
“They were the nicest people to set and talk with after another long day waiting for flights in the airport. It was great to meet normal people and just have a good conversation. And the food was as good too.”
“My experience here was extremely nice. The service was fantastic and they were really nice. The store was really clean and the atmosphere here was awesome. When visiting here I felt welcomed and everyone was really friendly and helpful. My order was correct and was ready when I arrived to pick it up.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu available and many items to choose from”
“Absolutely good quality AND QUANTITY of food for $22. Ordered it over the phone, saw a line out the door so I went next door to shop a bit, came back & was next in line, my food was still hot & ready when I finally got home to eat!10/10 recommend the Happy Family special & crab rangoon! Thanks y’all!”
“Visit 03/10/24. As before with my post a week ago, the place was very clean from floors to tables and chairs. In South Hill, that is refreshing when I have visited. Other fast food restaurants in town over visits to South Hill tolerable but not as clean as Hardee's inside. The staff at Hardee's continues to show a friendly position and provide good service along with good food.Hardee's has stepped up with changes to their hamburger patty and fries recently. All the burgers are Angus Beef, according to staff. It is somewhat thin and pre-pressed, average in flavor and still large enough to fill the bun. The burger I selected, the Famous Star, sits on top of the chilled lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles on a mayonnaise spread on a dependable bun that recently has been upgraded to hold its form better while eating. The French fries are no longer the string version, changed to the crinkle/wavy version, a little more potatoes and seasoning flavor. Good when fresh. Ketchup optional.Let us not forget about a nice apple pie turnover Hardee's offers to finish off the meal. Quite good, tasty and warm, for the offering.Hardee's has a good variety on the menu. I have had their chicken sandwich some time ago and was not impressed with the chicken patty. What was pictured on their food menu board was not what was provided. Hopefully Hardee's will eventually reconsider an alternative patty, a better patty for their chicken sandwich. That of course is my preference, but may be satisfactory to others. Their chicken strips and chick are good.Hardee's restrooms are usually clean. I have not used it anytime recently, but in the past, they have been adequately clean, again, better than some other fastfood restrooms. Lighting could stand an upgrade for better vision and comfort.Parking: free parking available. Wide lanes for cars to pass each other in the parking area. Handicapped parking alongside the building for access to the closest door entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: I assume the doors are wide enough for a wheelchair. The handicap parking area provides proper access to the sidewalk to the door. Couple of tables are available, if not occupied for wheelchair patrons.”
“Excellent experience on 3/23/24. Everything was clean and Marvin was in top of it! Friendly and quick service even with a full bar and mostly full dining area. Thanks!”
“Tonight was just our latest amazing dinner at Blue Atlas! It was Vegan Takeover night and we tried every dish but one … as usual, the flavors were anything but boring. They were bold and surprising and our two non-vegan guests ate every last morsel and then some. The non-vegan nights are equally as extraordinary! Friendly, professional staff (Bas was out server tonight and he was great!) and just a fabulous experience!!! I love the fact that the head chef is a woman (as an aside)!”
“Having been a server for almost 10 years, it is very difficult for me to be blown away by service I recieve while dining. Susan absolutely put it down! Not only was she completely on point with timing of everything- drink almost done? She's there asking if you're ready for another. Just finished your last bite of bread? Here she comes with more for the table- but she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the menu, helping guide you through the flavors present and explaining not only what features in a dish, but how it will taste and feel. I CANNOT say enough about how professional and amazing she was. Then, not only was the service top-notch, but every single bite of every dish absolutely DELIEVERED! We ordered the venison carpaccio, and Susan was able to describe all the sauces and flavors on the dish, so we were able to try the venison with each, knowing it would tweak the overall flavor in different ways. It came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. I got the waygu stuffed quail for my entree and my husband got the sea scallops catch of the day, and the portions were amazing for both- giant scallops, a half a quail that perfectly filled me up, along with amazing waygu cheek stuffed in the quail. Not only were the proteins perfectly cooked and flavored, but even the sides to each dish complemented the proteins beautifully and were DELICIOUS. Not a single thing could I or would I want to change. 100% worth every penny spent for an amazing date night, and we will absolutely book another reservation to return!Parking: Go early to ensure you can find parking, or catch an Uber or Lyft”
“Dinner at Alewife was the highlight of our five-day visit to Richmond. First off, it was a relief to get out of downtown Richmond with its huge empty parking lots, boarded up storefronts and deserted streets. The historic Church Hill section, with its 19th century row and other houses and interesting looking restaurants and shops, was such a pleasant change. Parking near Alewife was a bit of a challenge, but we quickly found a spot just a block away. The restaurant itself has a fascinating vibe, part friendly neighborhood spot and part disarmingly upmarket dining room. You just knew the food would be interesting, and it was. We started with a gin and tonic and a non-alcoholic beer. The menu is fairly short and apparently changes nightly, or at least frequently.I would never in this world think that I would enjoy an appetizer of raw oysters, bright green pickle juice, creme fraiche and fresh dill. But it was an amazing flavor combination. My partner's appetizer was equally interesting -- lox on thick, toasted rustic bread. As mains, we had the arctic char, with grilled carrots, and the skate, both perfectly prepared and delicious. Service throughout the meal was just right -- friendly, attentive but not overly so. Our charge for two, including tip, was around $150, well worth the price. Thank you for a great meal experience!”
“Wonderful, dense, New England style ice cream. I’ve yet to try a flavor that was not absolutely wonderful. Inventive flavors. You can’t go wrong with anything these guys put out. Also very friendly staff!”
“Love, Love, Love this place. The rotating menu is divine and takes me out of my comfort zone in a good way. They have a cornbread flavor that is simply amazing. I always get a sundae, but the ice cream is amazing on its own. Whenever I'm in the RVA area, I am sure to stop by and get a scoop.❤️”
“We had a great evening at Penny's Wine Shop - we enjoyed the full flight of featured wines by the glass and paired them with several of the shared plate selections. Oyster mushrooms conserva and potato dauphinoise were our top favorites with the Bolet Cava and Patience Blanc white blend, but everything we tasted was delicious – oh that Basque cheesecake! This is definitely on the list to return to as their menu and wines change on a regular basis so always something new to try! We posted more love & pics @richpairings”
“I came here for a work event and we were directed to the event space. I got the short rib and a couple others got the salmon. Both were wonderful.Drinks were a little slow but heavily poured and made for a lively evening. The night was made by the service given by Rylee. She took the time to connect with everybody and made us all feel welcome while giving wonderful service. Her patience and expertise made the night a wonderful experience!”
“We came for brunch before going to see Madame Butterfly. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was excellent especially the biscuits. I have never seen such an extensive wine by the glass list.Parking: Free street parking a block away on Sundays.”
“Unique spot offering a taste of what’s good in this world. Got the hava nagila dilla (turkey Reuben) and villa dilla (chicken carbonara), nacho problem, and fresh-pressed lemonade (half sugar). Nachos are faster than dillas — could treat nachos like an app if you are dining in. Dillas had the PERFECT crisp and really thoughtful ingredient combos — felt like a more nutritious, sandwich-like quesadilla. Lemonade took me back to my childhood.”
“Cool little deli with huge amazing sandwiches! The owner is so nice. Did I mention the sandwiches are great? And they have chopped cheeses too! Come by and give them a ”
“Charcuterie board done right. Order a glass (of their curated wine selection? or their eccentric cocktail creations? take a pick!), order some dishes, and lean back and enjoy the ambiance either in their intimate bar or outdoor patio. Lovely experience.”
“Food was AMAZING! Service AMAZING! Ambiance was all positive vibes! Spoke with Mike for a bit, he is a amazing man with a powerful message! Highly recommend! If you are reading this go check them out! You wont regret it”
“We’ve eaten here for breakfast before and it was phenomenal - try the burrito. Yesterday we tried the bbq and were blown away. The guy behind the counter was so helpful and informative. We tried the brisket sandwich, the pork burnt ends, L Mac and cheese, L potato salad, a beer and a coke for about $70. Had our leftovers for dinner. The espresso bbq sauce was unreal! Don’t skip this place, you won’t regret it!”
“Wife and I trying new places exploring Richmond. This was a gem. Service was excellent. Atmosphere, character and ambiance of the bar and dining room were old-school comfortable and welcoming.Dinner included wedge salad and seared tuna, Arugula salad and simply prepared blackened salmon. Prepared properly, served with a family side of potatoes. Delicious.Service continued their appropriate attention throughout the meal, dessert, and closing out.Not to be passed up if visiting Richmond.”
“Our experience was phenomenal. Our reserved table was ready for us, and the staff was prompt, attentive, and accommodating. The chef came out to greet us and the food was delicious. Definitely recommended for any dietary preference.”
“This place has easily become an all time favorite for me. The different drinks are fantastic, the donuts have been phenomenal, just a great place all around! Highly recommend!”
“Attended the Wade Cellars wine tasting hosted here by Chef Mike Lindsey and it was phenomenal. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but very well put together, inviting, and has charm.I haven't tried menu items from Jubilee yet, but after this experience, we will definitely be back!”
“Great little tucked away spot with limited tables and a bar seating area. You can hear them pounding the schnitzel in the kitchen. Great selection of German beers, we went with the kolsch and the chicken schnitzel w mushroom gravy I choose German potato salad and sauerkraut as my sides and my partner got spaetzle and gravy. The food took a looong time but when you hear them physically pounding out your chicken you know it’s made to order. You get a chunk of focaccia bread that was rather dry and had no dipping oils or butter to hold you over while waiting but wasn’t worth bothering to waste stomach space on, the entrees came out and it was so good and worth waiting for. Comparing it to our favored German restaurant in Myrtle beach have to say is was just as good and even a notch better in sone areas, the breading on the schnitzel is so crisp and crunchy and the best potato salad I’ve had. Partner agreed his spaetzle was also the best he ever had only thing I would change is the mushroom gravy is very thick there’s more mushrooms then gravy and not much flavor. So would try a different sauce next time. Entrees are in the $20’s but large filling portions.”
“First let me say that I lived in Europe for two years and have had quite a few amazing croissants...but nothing like this place. The chocolate almond croissant from Sub Rosa is the best one I've ever had..period. Also, the ham and cheese croissant and the tart was incredible. We heard about how fast they sell out so we ordered a few days ahead of our trip. I'd recommend doing the same if you want to guarantee you'll get what you want. Seriously, if you find yourself down here, plan to make a stop, you will not be disappointed.”
“I'm honestly surprised I haven't reviewed this place before. In my humble opinion, this is the best French restaurant in the whole city. The staff are impeccably kind and attentive, the food selection is great, and the drinks are to die for. The staff treats you like family, and it really makes for an inviting time. The space is also very warm and comforting, which I truly appreciate.Definitely a place you should go for a nice date with someone, or to just have a good dinner and a warm and welcoming space.”
“I absolutely love the Cinnamon and Pecan Danish. My grandaughters love the cheese Danish. I stopped by a year ago for a cup cake. Can't get enough of the Danishes.”
