“Solid casual dining option for sushi or basic Japanese hibachi and Chinese American food dishes. Staff are very nice and fast! Lots of sushi options but many are fried/tempura varieties, not as many fresh/light sushi options. If you like Americanized sushi choices though, they'll have you covered.“
“Tokyo Japanese Express is one of my favorite places on Timberlake Rd. Always consistently delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. The restaurant recently received a remodel as well which is quite nice. The teriyaki chicken is my favorite. :)“
“Choose this place every time. The food delivers great taste and generous portions. The staff/owners are accommodating and welcoming. I am not a meat eater and eat a vegetable yakisoba maybe once a week, this is the place to get it. You can’t go wrong! The noodles are soft and chewy and perfect in a sweet, savory sauce. Also the extra portions you are able to order on the side for an additional cost are HUGE. Thumbs up!“

“First time, great food, yakisoba was a touch salty but everything else was great. Fried rice and yum yum sauce was excellent. The beef tenderloin hibachi was delicious. Steak and lobster delicious. Definitely try again some different dishes next time.“
“Seems mostly family run. They are very polite and pretty accurate on estimated time the last few visits I had. One of the best hibachi take-out dishes in the area. If you've had Japanese fast food, or the mall variant, you have a general idea of what to expect.Wheelchair accessibility: It is right next to the parking lot and not lifted or after any stairs. Tables are lower so someone could roll in and right up to a table. Paying counter is a bit high but I'm sure they'd step out to assist.“
“This is a really solid option for vegetarian diets. They have three tofu options that are well portioned and affordable. Their sauces are pretty fire and they’re super nice people to interact with. They’re also consistently fast with their food preparation in my experience. TLDR food Taste “
“I've been here a few times now. The food is consistent and one of the better Chinese takeouts in the area. I've only tried a couple side items and the lunch boxes, but I've yet to be disappointed. The staff is nice and the food is cooked quite quickly. The soup comes out very hot. Parking situation is unfortunate and it is just a kitchen and a lobby, so you can only takeout. I don't think I've had anything mind blowing here, but it is exactly what you anticipate when getting Chinese takeout.I'd personally recommend the lunch boxes or the wonton soup.“
“I love the orange chicken and sushi and the atmosphere is always great the song selections are always on point and the staff is amazing ?Vegetarian options: They have all types of vegetarian options including lunch and appetizer options.Dietary restrictions: They can do gluten free and lactose free food and drinks which really helps me.Parking: The parking lot in the rear is very open and free.Kid-friendliness: The staff is always friendly and nice to the kiddos.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible and the staff is always accommodating.“
“Rating 5 stars for the lumpia alone. The only place in the Lynchburg area I’ve ever been able to find it made in spring rolls. The other few menu items I’ve had are nothing to phone home about, but have been good. I’ve only ordered through door dash so I’m not sure if more options are available in person, but my only complaint would be how small the orders of lumpia are. Granted, I could eat them as my entire meal.“
“Every time I am in town I make sure to have Osakas at least 3 times. It’s the first and the last food joint we hit. I’m from the west coast and there isn’t anything like the teriyaki chicken or sautéed vegetables. The marinade on the chicken creates this nice caramelization that adds a nice texture. Not to mention the yum yum sauce, we still haven’t found a replacement. I recommend to everyone.“
“Perfect environment for a birthday party. Definitely bring kids because their expressions make it so much fun! Also prepare for GIANT servings of food. My teenage son and I split the steak & chicken hibachi and took home TONS of leftovers. Service was great. So entertaining!“
“This place was great. The staff is all very friendly and helpful, the moon tea was delicious. I got the steak hibachi and it was really good. The only thing is I wish they could take out certain vegetables, but they can’t cause it’s a mix. Otherwise the place was great.Parking: They do have a parking lot but it is very small, probably better to park on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: They have ramps leading to the door.“
