“This place had very good tacos. Specially the birria tacos along with the consome (the sauce for the birria tacos that you dip in) our family enjoyed trying out some of the other dishes too. Our waiter Damaris was very attentive and friendly with her service and we would definitely come back again to try more!!“
“I live in Maryland but often drive to VA because of friends/family. I've been eyeing this place for a while and finally went. I didn't know it inside the supermarket which I do not mind but it did throw me off lol I got the birria Ramen with one of the spicy pork belly taco. MAN when I tell you that taco I never tasted anything like it, I don't like coleslaw but in the taco... it was delicious. I could've ate another one if I wasn't so full after the Ramen. The Ramen was so good, the broth was flavorfuI. Also shared the loaded birria fries, the cheese sauce was so GOOD and with the jalapeños, just perfect!!! Based off the pictures and what I got, I think you get a good portion size for your money. I will DEFINETLY go again when I come back to VA.“
“For Mexican food I’ll always go to the jarochita or this Mexico lindo. Their food is always delicious and once you go in it really feels like you’re in Mexico which I appreciate. They’re tacos Al Pastor and torta de hamon are my go too!!“
“This is the best place I found since moving here from Arizona. I absolutely love the salsas. The soups are very flavorful and the meats are cooked to perfection. The Cadillac margaritas are very good.I will be definitely coming back to explore the menu!“
“This hole in the wall did not disappoint! I couldn’t read the menu in Spanish but I was assisted in clear English which was helpful and I ordered what was recommended for my hankerings. The beef tacos seemed traditional Mexican style and they were so tasty! I got 3 to the order that were very filling. I’m fairly certain the tortillas were hand made, they certainly tasted fresh and homemade with something like pico & beef inside, topped with radish and cucumber, side of lime and the best sauce. So good! I wish I’d taken a pic because the presentation was nice. I ordered tamales to go and will have them later. They were wrapped very well and kept warm while I sat to eat. It smells delicious. I’m not local or I’d return.“
“Great prices, fast and well made food, quality of the food is top tier and tastes very authentic. I know it’s in the back of a super market but it’s a great hole in the wall spot. I got quesabirrria from here with consome and it’s delicious.“
“Takeaway: Large portions. Deliciously crafted flavors. Dishes are well thought out and beautifully presented. Every once in a while you find a place that ends up being your go to for a particular dish. Uncle Rico's Cantina is that place for Mexican cuisine. Oh, and yes, free chips and salsa - a must.5/2024, Monday.Time: 1 pm.Meal: Lunch - Chimichanga with chorizo and cheese sauce.Price: $$ to $$$ (lunch). However, the average person will get two meals from the Chimichanga, for example.Wait Time: Long for lunch.Staff and Service: Friendly and attentive with good timing. Asked about chips and salsa refills when they got low.Restrooms: Did not use.Atmosphere: Main dinning room is a bit full with tables pretty close. Not very noisy. Decor could be better. Outdoor seating looks fun when it warms up.Parking: Cantina is part of a strip of commercial businesses with plenty of unassigned parking spaces.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Jarochita Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute culinary delight! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported to the vibrant flavors and warm hospitality of authentic Mexican cuisine. The Steak Tacos - Perfection on a Plate The star of the show for me was undoubtedly the steak tacos. The tender, flavorful beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, nestled in soft, freshly made tortillas. Each bite was a harmonious blend of savory, tangy, and slightly spicy notes that left me craving more. Shrimp Cocktail - A Refreshing Delight As an appetizer, I indulged in the shrimp cocktail, and I was thoroughly impressed. The shrimp were plump, juicy, and bursting with flavor, complemented by a zesty, tangy cocktail sauce that perfectly balanced the sweetness of the seafood. Tres Leches - A Heavenly Dessert For dessert, I couldn't resist the temptation of the tres leches cake. This decadent treat was an absolute revelation, with a moist, spongy texture that melted in my mouth, and a rich, creamy blend of three different types of milk that left me in a state of pure bliss. I also tried the res soup, and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor and the hearty, satisfying nature of this dish. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the tender chunks of beef and vegetables made for a truly comforting and nourishing experience. Overall, my dining experience at La Jarochita was nothing short of exceptional. The food was consistently delicious, the service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Mexican culinary adventure. I can't wait to return and explore more of their mouthwatering offerings.“
“This place is a hidden jewel. We always get take-out but the place is clean and we look forward to talking with the staff will waiting for our take-out order. The family gets a variety of things from breakfast taco, steak quesadilla, sopes, & our favorite chicken taquitos. They also carry my drink "Calypso"If your in the neighborhood, stop by & grab something to eat!!!“
“My wife and I ventured out of state and stumbled upon a culinary gem that left us both in awe! The service was truly exceptional and the food was nothing short of exquisite. Without a doubt, this place is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. And if you're lucky, ask for Katherine - her service is simply phenomenal! ?“
“We have been several times. The service has always been attentive, one of the ladies there even modified the carne asada to accommodate our little ones. Everything we have tried has been AMAZING. The salsa is a MUST HAVE. We even buy it in volume to take home every time we get a chance.“
“Delicious tacos but a little expensive, but on par with what everyone charges for a taco these days :( I would have loved to eat like 10 tacos but I had to be reasonable and get 3.Got the birria, pastor, and carnitas and all 3 were excellent.“
“Don’t let the atmosphere fool you. It might look cheap, but it’s not. The food is as pricey as if you went to your favorite taco place instead. The pork was more than $14/pound. This way I get to pay just as much and still have to do all the work putting the meal together when I get home! ??Parking: The parking lot is difficult to get in and out of. It would be nice if they could make an arrangement with their new next door neighbor and join the parking areas.“
“Food and service was absolutely amazing! Definitely my number one taco spot from now on. Better to know Spanish when ordering which I do for the most part. However, we got charged more than what it said on the website so I think they charge you based on the way you look. Still recommend though!“
“LEEEEEEMMMMEEEE TELL YOU! Run don't walk to this Mexican spot in Bristow Manassas. My boy and I were watching NXT ( wrestling) and what goes good with wrestling..... Mexican food. Lucha libre was a big thing growing up! I got the beef California Burrito ( only slight thing I would add is fries to it) other than that the flavors were on point! My taste buds were getting taken down by the flavors. Now let me get you hip to the Steak fries! Had a GREAT portion ( enough for you and your tag team partner). The fries included a nice mix of veggies ( Red pepper , green peppers and onions). When it comes to the tacos..... they have it like it's suppose to be con un poquito de cilantro y cebolla. It was like going to the west coast , delicious culture. Their home made sauce added to it was just the Cherry on top. I had to tap out and the food got the best of me.... But I want a rematch.“
“Delicious food, great service. They are friendly and welcoming. We have eaten here 5 or 6 times and were never disappointed.Parking: A short walk away is free parking at the train station. Near that is a parking garage. It’s worth a short walk for great Mexican food.“
“For tacos barbacoa or carnitas, their is no better place in the DMV then this restaurant. Tortillas are warm and fluffy, lots of juicy meat, lots of cilantro and onions. Salsa is nice and spicy and it's just amazing. Came here by recommendation from my friend who is from Mexico who swears by this place. Also the staff are so friendly. Muchas gracias por la comida y servicio. Muy amable y la comida bien rico. Como la comida de la casa. Spectacular ?“
“We finally tried this place and must say we had a great experience! The Pupusas are delicious (very cheesy) and fresh! Their nachos are real nachos, they had carne asada pieces, beans, cheese, onions, tomatoes and probably more. Their Horchata is probably the best I’ve had in a long time! Milky not too sweet and definitely flavorful. Hungry for Authentic Salvadoran food? This is probably the place!“
“Great meals, deserts and friendly and responsive service.3.24.2024 Tonight a boy/man was yelling, swearing and making a nuisance. There were a lot of families with children. I asked the manager why no one spoke to him. Manager was not told by staff. All the staff was aware what was going on. Speak up people“
