“What a lovely experience this was for me and my baby!I first had to use the bathroom, and it was super refreshing not to be told I had to buy something there before using the bathroom (even though I definitely was going to buy something!) The cute bathroom was more spacious than I thought it would be, and well maintained. The ambiance of the coffee shop is so cozy, and the shop owner was super laid back and sweet, apologizing that there was no changing table in the bathroom. When I told her my dietary restrictions, she recommended the spring flower tea (hibiscus, cherries, etc) with almond milk and the waffle breakfast sammich, both of which were incredible! I’m coming back next time to get the English muffin breakfast sammich which is (drumroll please) ALSO DAIRY AND GLUTEN FREE!If you want a relaxing atmosphere with more than one option for your dietary restrictions, check this out :)Dietary restrictions: They have options for people (like me) who are gluten-free AND dairy-free!”
“Very nice mom and pop dined. Food was delicious service great and the place was beautiful. Very clean dining room bathroom and what we could see from the dining room. If in ”
“Our first visit to Field and Main for my birthday 02/2024 was exceptional. We had made reservations well ahead of time, and were seated in the open kitchen area that was very interesting to watch. The head chef was the expediter, and all chefs called out the dish after he called it to them. A well oiled run machine that kitchen is!Kyle, our server was friendly, prompt and chatted with us about some wines. The Oomami smash burger was delicious, and the bread board was surprisingly rich and light with the truffle ricotta. Our main course of scallops in a parsnip puree and the buccatini pasta in a carrot sauce were to die for. Rich, elegant and warming. Now I want to attempt to make a carrot sauce! We will certainly return for future dinners, and can't wait to sit outside once the weather warms. Thank you Field and Main for a birthday dinner to remember.”
“New and happening place in Marshall VA located on Main Street. I like the cozy feel of small town and food is to die for. First time there I sat at the bar and delighted on a Devils Backbone and Salmon- moist, not overcooked, seasoned, and filling. Second time a friend and I waited in the parking lot until it opened at 11. We were not disappointed! Clam chowder reminded me of Chesapeake Bay Seafood House! Clams were not chewy, base tasted like a touch of New England on the shore. Amazing! Then the third time, we had the NY strip steak - prepared to perfection!! The flavor and so tender that you could cut it with a fork. Wings were marinated with the flavor instead of cooked with sauce poured over it. Chef is absolutely amazing. Drinks are cold, food is prepared perfectly and served hot. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Staff is very personable and friendly. The owner walked around and introduced himself. Very down to earth people! It’s a must visit for yourself!Parking: Parking in the front, sides, and back of the restaurant. They are lined spaces so no chaos. You can also park on Main Street.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed. The restaurant has booths and high chairs for the little ones to sit in. Music is fantastic and the staff is very friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: When dining a gentleman wheeled in and was able to comfortably sit at a table while his friend set in the booth.”
“Came here for a breakfast sandwich once and was impressed. Every ingredient was quality and the portion size was just right. I'll have to come back sometime soon and try more ”
“While making our trek from NYC back to SC saw this place on list of food stops along the freeway. So glad we gave it a shot. I opted for the special burger cooked medium with jalapeños and pepper jack, lettuce and tomato. Tasted like a Whopper, but juicy, with some heat. Went with onion rings and washed it all down with a Coke. Burger was one of the best I can remember and rings were on point as well. Service was friendly and competent. Felt like a cafe should.”
“The food here was wonderful and very reasonably priced. The staff were wonderful and helped me pick out what to get by offering detailed suggestions. I was just passing through but if I'm here again I'll definitely be back.Parking: Open parking lot for freeWheelchair accessibility: Fairly accessible but a little cramped.”
“On our way through the area and randomly stopped for pizza. Anthony's is in a little strip mall, and was very unassuming from the front. Local spot, nothing fancy but with a surprisingly extensive menu and good lunch specials. We ordered the cheesesteak and two slices...and maaaan they hit the spot! Both were amazing - truly. We were pleasantly surprised. If we lived nearby, we'd be regulars. Also, they carry Coke products so gold star just for that. ?Kid-friendliness: My kids would have enjoyed the pizza here - lots of options for kiddos.”
“The Whole Foods at Fair lakes is nicely remodeled and very organized. I love to go to their Seafood Shack . The food is great , service is great and price is unbeatable. I ordered fried Oysters , grilled salmon Baja style with a side of fries and Caesar salad.”
“Our food was very good and the vegetables were fresh. The prices are not correct on the board and they do not honor the posted prices. Otherwise the staff were pleasant and polite.”
“The manager was the kindest, most helpful person on earth. We were lost, a senior couple. He helped me with getting a compatible charger for my phone. I had a new cross over Toyota. He showed me things that helped me program the GPS. We made it to Myrtle Beach because of him. I will never forget his unusual kindness.”
“Always a wonderful experience! Jeremy was our server and I indulged in the wine pairing with dinner - he did a great job presenting each wine with the different courses. The Valentine's 5 course menu was fantastic - we especially loved the lobster bisque and ordered the mini lobster roll to start - delicious!”
“Pearmund continues to be a consistently good experience - quality customer service, knowledgeable and interesting in sharing their wines. It comes at the typical Virginia premium (whites in the ~$20 range, reds up to $40).Adults-only in the tasting room, but kids allowed at the farm store (which sells wine by the bottle, but not tastings).Rentable rooms where the cost goes straight back to buying things.”
“Rachel was so sweet and amazing with the service! Couldn’t ask for anything better ❤️Kid-friendliness: My son and my sisters kids had a great time and Racheal was so wonderful with the kids and very patient with them.”
“My husband surprised me with an anniversary weekend at the Ashby Inn and restaurant. We have always enjoyed our time at the Ashby as a services impeccable. The rooms are filled with amicable and necessary items, especially firewood for a romantic Cozy evening. The restaurant is tremendous, and the staff and service are equally knowledgeable and helpful. We even now have a nameplate being prepared for our table as we’ve sat at the same table for at least six visits now. The Ashby will not let you down, however, be prepared because it is an investment in this lovely gem of a place, and in Yourself.Rooms: My only suggestion in the rooms would be to have a Cozy, loveseat or small couch for cuddling. The individual chairs that flank the fireplace are lovely, but they do not enhance the romance.”
“We had to drive our son to a party and were looking for a place to eat and this was pretty much the only place that didn't close at 230 or 3. Also they had by far the best reviews so we figured we would give it a try. We got the mini beef wellingtons to share, I got the braised short ribs with cheese panini and the hubs got the knuckle sandwich. I have to say best freaking panini EVER!!!! The mini wellington were ok. Hubby really enjoyed his as well. The owner was there and was very polite and even gave some cookies to these two adorable children. This place definitely has that small town feel. Think of Maybury from the Andy Griffith show. Absolutely loved it. One thing I will say is I wish the seating was different. High tables and chairs and not very comfy and a bit wobbly and no indoor seating for people who are handicapped. So while I give it 5 stars on everything and if I am ever in that area again I will visit as long as my handicapped son isn't with me.”
“Literally the best wine tasting experience ever! My mother reserved 2 igloos and they let us stay for 4 and a half hours! We were buying wine bottles and clearly my uncle had a great time. The igloos were nice, the inside had blankets, a blue tooth speaker, and heater. Our waiter Matt was friendly and funny. My family and I definitely made some memories!”
“First time in Middleburg, VA and by chance my wife and I entered this cute and sophisticated restaurant. Oh wow, I left in WoW from the amazing service to yummy food, every single dish was a WOW experience. If you are in Middleburg, this is a MUST!!!”
“A hidden gem in Warrenton. We enjoyed the garlic naan, taj butter chicken and aloo gobi!Kid-friendliness: Brought my son - he enjoyed the dinner and the blend of Nepalese and Indian cultures.”
“We stopped by on Saturday evening for a pint and dinner and it was good. I think they were a wee bit understaffed but probably only seemed that way because we were in a bit of a hurry. The beer selection was great, and an Irish cider ?The Scoth eggs were delicious, the Shepard's pie was great and the mash was definitely homemade on the Bangers and mash, however I guess I'm used to the British way of not using a deep fried for the sausage, although the flavors were authentic. Every table seemed to really enjoy their food and drinks. We've been here several times and it's always good food ?”
“The food was unbelievably delicious. I tried things I thought I would never like. The flavors and combinations were definitely 5 star! Unfortunately, the mixed drinks were horrible and I actually had to mix with my water to get it down. Please hire a bartender, the waitress is not meant to mix drinks. She also wasn't very warm and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience though. We will be back.Vegetarian options: Need more options for vegetarians”
“A beautiful farm brewery in a Virginia country setting. The beer is very good and the people are friendly. A great place to spend the day. If you have kids there is plenty of space for them to play outside. The day we were there they had live music that added to the fun.”
“This adorable coffee shop has such a great vibe. It’s the kind of place you want to sit for hours and talk with friends or read a book. Their coffee is super yummy with all homemade syrups and their oatmeal bar is on point! Definitely stop in if you’re passing through town.”
“Amazing, the people here are amazing and so nice here. I really recommend this place with their amazing meat pizza. Not only that they actually do their pizza fresh. Thus, I recommend this amazing pizza place for any pizza lovers here in Virginia!”
“Lovely environment. My favorite smoothie was removed from the menu, Triple Berry Oat, but staff was accommodating and made one that was almost the same. Will be returning.”
“Our was also working a big party and tables behind us. They seemed to get more attention than us. Don't apologize when you're wrong. As a customer it just makes it worse, especially when a tip is involved.”
“Went here yesterday with family and friends for the first time had a great time food was awesome as was the beer friendly staff nice place will definitely come back.”
“My girlfriend and I had lunch at the Hunter's Head Tavern. I had the Fish & Chips with a locally crafted root beer. Very good. My girlfriend had the Build - A - Burger and unsweetened tea. She enjoyed it very much. The Mushy Peas were pretty good. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Chocolate Cake. My girlfriend had the Boysenberry Pie. The desserts were very good. The atmosphere was neat. Just like stepping back in time. Our server Krista did a great job.”
“Winery with a great vibe and variety of wines, very chill and relaxing environment, an excellent place to spend the day eith daily and just enjoy each other's company. You will not be disappointed!Make sure to try out the flight!”
“Ignore the Negs We enjoy this Food on the Regs. The Reviewers complaining about the price should try to delivery the consistent high level of quality and flavor that Tapaios does. The food here is always on point.”
