My family and I absolutely love Al Fresco! Definitely a hidden gem in Newport News. My wife and 3 year old daughter come here all the time and always leave happy. We are greeted and treated like family as soon as we walk through the door. Ronaldo (the owner) is almost always present and makes the rounds speaking with the patrons. This is a wonderful restaurant in the shopping center off of Jefferson. We had fried calamari for an appetizer. The sauce was delicious. The calamari was very thin, but fried nicely and had good flavor. We seated at a quiet and cozy for top at the back of the restaurant, the ambience is beautiful for special date nights or cozy, family, dinners, and even business meetings.
