Food's pretty good, kinda hit and miss. The BBQ is standard -- not stellar, but not bad. The Brunswick stew is good but needs more vegetables and more seasoning. I recommend you buy a quart to go and doctor it up at home for a quick and easy meal. Service is very good. Place has been here for 70 years; they must be doing something right. Banana pudding was excellent.
Attended a pre-planned function, and the establishment was very poorly staffed. The staffing could not properly accommodate our party and the other restaurant patrons. The fare was also poorly prepared.

Service was great. The Collards were very mushy. I understand they're out of season right now, but if you can't get fresh ones, I would just as soon take them off the menu instead of serving them like that. I couldn't even finish them.
