“This is a small but very delightful & busy place to grab lunch. I felt like I was back in high school at the hangout for all the cool kids. I had the cheapskate plate(cheeseburger & tots for $10). It was good..service was friendly & quick despite that it was the busy lunch rush.“
“I love going to Penguin's SnoBalls. Especially on those hot summer days we just had during the summer. I always get the strawberry daiquiri kiddie size snoball. They know to make it just right. The service is the best they greet you with a smile. When they come to the window to take your order. They are very courteous, professional. I will definitely continue to go there to get SnoBalls. Whenever they are open whether it summer or fall.“

“I went to Five Guys for dinner. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, and then I added a little ketchup. I also ordered a regular fry for my buddy and I to share. It was perfect. The burger was juicy easoned well, and the cheese was melted deliciously. The fries were crispy and generous. I added malt vinegar to a few and dipped the rest in a side of mayo.The staff was awesome and friendly. Kevin recommeded a milk shake but unfortunately I passed on it this time. They are awesome though.Parking: Multiple options for free street parking right in front of the restaurant and across the street.“
“Your parking lot is a disaster. I know all that was set up when Covid hit. Time to take it down and have a normal parking lot. It’s crazy confusing how to get in and where to park.Come one folks fix it. Prior to Covid the crazy issues you have now did not exist.We were there tonight and we heard 4 other groups complaining about it.The 1 star I gave for atmosphere is totally about the parking situation. Everything was ok. The kids working really do need to learn how to interact better with customers. But I do know that is a much bigger issue.“
“Ah Qdoba, how much I love you more than Chipottyle.Had the brisket birria, with rice and pinto beans, spicy queso, spicy sauce, guacamole and jalapeños.Giant burrito, wonderfully flavored, seasoned well. Still not so spicy, but a lot of food in Virginia lacks heat. Trusty bottles of Cholula there to help out.Staff was very nice. Helpful as well.“
“The owners are very nice considering their store is in downtown Norfolk and having to deal with the homeless, cheap no tipping blk ppl, and the entitled who have moved into the condos that have now blocked the view of Waterside. The wife is very cultured and personable. Won't accept my tips but she says she's been franchising Subway for 35 years and is happy with her life.( in other words she's saying she manages and is well off financially)“
“We had the best experience when we went there the other night, I have never endured such awesome service, even though I was at a burger king, I felt like I was at a five-star restaurant, the order taker went above and beyond to make us feel right at home, he brought us our tray, I would have done so, but over all, it was fantastic, you would never get that at a McDonalds.“

Lamia clearly is passionate both about her food and the neighborhood. She was very friendly and gave us a lot of great recommendations for other local businesses.I personally will be back any time I'm in Norfolk to visit my friend, and I'm sure said friend will be something of a fixture ?“
