Jennifer greeted us and made our lunch so much more comfortable with her knowledge of the menu! The place was filled with workers from all over. Everyone was cleaning up the food off their plates and chatting and looked soooooo happy. The kitchen takes pride in every plate & it shows; fresh herbs on each, plentiful amounts, plantain leaves as plate decorations lend a real flavor.The mofongo & cubano are fantastic!!!!! As a New Yorker living in Norfolk I feel like the food and services here reminds me of my old neighborhood in the Bronx. The food is authentic and tastes great, which is why I constantly speak highly of La Yaroa whenever anyone asks me for food
