“My family and I have been coming here for years. The service is fantastic, and they have always been very accommodating with my elderly grandfather. Get the chicken parm, you won’t be disappointed.”
“Really enjoyed our first time at this brewery. They have a lovely outdoor patio, a food truck (the pickle chips were ), and a delicious IPA that my husband really enjoyed! We will definitely be back!”
“Great selection of beer. We got there too late to enjoy the brats, but a food truck on site was nice. They also had a bunch of canned beer and I brought some home to enjoy later. Very nice brewery, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, definitely worth a visit.”
“Part of me wants to lie and say it was horrible to avoid not being able to get a table for future visits. Staff was absolutely amazing, service was top notch and the food was amazing!”
“Good food. Could be considered a little pricey, but it's worth the price. Good selection of sandwiches , hot and cold. I got a simple grill cheese with bacon and it was very good.”
“Anything but ordinary! Delicious country cuisine in a cozy cabin atmosphere. The fried chicken was a real highlight along with the outstanding service. Highly recommend!”
“Was traveling through near closing time after working late on a Saturday night, called in a pickup order and they stayed open 15 minutes past closing until I could get there along the route headed home. Good food, excellent customer service.”
“Finally a good Mexican restaurant to eat at in Montpelier! The service is good and there is a bar with sports games playing. The food is excellent; the only downside is the queso is very runny, which isn't my favorite, but I really enjoy the salsa. I usually get fajitas when I go, but you can't go wrong with anything else on the menu.”
“Nice little place in country serving unexpectedly good food my friends recommended. Service was great and quick. Food was good and not too expensive.Parking: Small storefront with a small lot directly out front, but more parking available at other places”
“Splits the difference between "down-home cookin" and "haute cuisine" and does a masterful job of it. There's something for everyone on the menu, and all of it is great. Particularly pleased to see no "cruelty food" (e.g. fois gras) or baby animals (veal, lamb) on the menu. Thanks for that.”
“Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the customer service was so amazing (which is hard to find nowadays) I will definitely be back and recommend to all of my friends.”
“Been wanting to go here for quite awhile. Finally happened upon it while driving down river rd. Was happy that I did. Did not sit outside as the weather was a bit chilly. But inside was still a nice ambiance as they have windows looking out onto the terrace. Will have to go back when I can be out. The parking lot was full, but there was still quite a few empty tables. We were there for lunch and the menu offered a fairly good choice. Sandwiches, soup, salads . I guess you could order off the big menu too. I had the caprese sandwich and the home cooked chips. A definite try if you like crispy chips. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and broccoli potato soup. All of it was delicious and reasonably priced. We couldn't resist ordering espresso and tiramisu for dessert.Service was excellent. Bathroom large and clean.”
“I love Fine Creek and recommend it highly as a place to get great beer. They brew and serve some of the best and most varied beer in the area. Nice staff and attractive outside with lots of outside seating, but the inside seating area is pretty small. A downside is that sometimes it seems like kids outnumber adults, since the outdoor area makes it an attractive place for nominees for parents-of-the-year to plop down their kids while the parents sit and drink for an hour or two or three. I know the staff tries to get such parents to supervise their children, but unfortunately that doesn't always happen.”
“I ordered a chicken , egg, cheese on bagel. Overall the food was okay. The chicken was small, like a single chicken tender.....only covered like, the width of the hole in the bagel...but other then that it was okay.”
“Had a great time listening to True Tonic, featuring Elana Lisa and Rod Hyner. Very friendly staff, many happy customers, enjoying the brews and the music. And, oh yes, listening to Victor play their theme song he wrote.”
“I found this church from what only could have been a sign from God. I was struggling at the time trying to switch job fields to provide for my child as a single mother. One rainy morning, I was on the way to work, replaying my rusty job interview responses that did not result in a job offer. Suddenly, the car in front of me slammed on its brakes. To prevent from hydro planning, I swerved into a turn lane to avoid a collision. I had to turn into Hope's parking lot to reroute back onto Patterson to continue my morning commute to a dead end job. I strongly feel like in this moment, God was leading a lost soul back home. I attended that weekend, and the sermon was everything and more. It completely restructured where I placing my trust and faith with keeping a tight control on my life. I handed it over to him that day, and asked him to reveal his plan. Throughout that week, I heard several people repeat a line I had heard in the sermon the prior Sunday. Everything comes back in a fill circle, just like God's plan. This line kept coming back up in conversations with complete strangers. His plan will be revealed in his own time. It will come back in a full circle, but we will not know, while we are going through it. We just have to trust. One of these moments, occurred at my next job interview and I have been a member with Hope over the past 5 years. It has brought so many blessings since. Now I listen for him to guide me. In addition, they have a wonderful youth program for my son. I met my now spouse and we have a strong faith based relationship where God is the center. The music is amazing. The sermons are very scripture based and provide background context to explain why the bible is written in specific vernacular and the intentional meaning behind it. Things I never was taught growing up in my old church. I just love everything about Hope and agree, they meet you where you are. They are friendly, but not pushy. You can become as involved as you wish, and offer tons of classes and study groups. The pastors tend to rotate during each series. They do each have their own style of preaching and depth, but I recommend giving it 2-3 Sundays to feel it out if you are new, before judging a book by its cover. Not every sermon will hit you and be life changing, but they have a lot of very powerful sermons that have so much depth and leave you wanting more. The only thing is it is a pretty large congregation so it can be hard to get to know the pastors and new faces personally on busy Sundays. I recommend coming to a small group or class and get a chance to speak with them in a smaller setting where's its not as busy. Overall, I can't speak more highly of this home church. It's every thing I had been craving as a young and now older adult. I've grown so much in my faith and very thankful for Hope.”
“We arrived around noon on a Sunday in February. We were greeted promptly and were allowed to pick our own table. It was fairly busy but there were several tables open. It is deceiving from the exterior, because it’s actually a nice ambience with, by gosh, real tablecloths. There is a nice bar area and then a couple of separate areas with tables. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. Service was good and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. For lunch, my spouse ordered the Sailor sandwich, and I ordered the Cuban. The Sailor came stuffed with pastrami, knockwurst and baby swiss on rye. The Cuban had slow roasted pulled pork, Virginia pit ham, smoked provolone, dill pickles and dijonnaise. Both were tasty but the Sailor was the winner – that knockwurst knocked it out of the park! The french fries were lightly breaded, and they were hot and delicious. Prices are average for the area. Highly recommend!”
“Been there a few times with my mom. It's a little hit or miss. The service the last time was really good. Great waitress. I think there were some kitchen issues and she went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied. Mozzarella bites are really good.”
“A small Chinese restaurant near Short Pump with take out and order in. Very large portions all served with steamed broccoli (love). The best Chinese food I have had in the area. I'll return. Returned today ..had lunchhot and sour soup delicious....the best. Hunan pork hot and spicy as requested......food here is ”
“We loved everything from beginning to end. Very friendly efficient waitress. Draft Beer and drinks were perfect. The pretzel is huge and wonderful and the beer cheese was the best I've had in this area. We tried cornbread, smoked Gouda grits and cheeseburgers. My husband said the it was the best burger he has ever had! Nightingale ice cream sandwich was unbelievably good. And the general came around to make sure everything was great and she was very nice and obviously cares about the customers. Very impressed - we will be back!”
“Everything about this place is great! Sitting outside or inside, the atmosphere is amazing. Service is incredible. Cider tastes so fresh! This is our favorite cider spot in Richmond!”
“Incredible food and love the outdoor seating in the warmer season, great staff and service always so friendly truly a gem to have here in this neck of the woods! Best biscuits I’ve had in Richmond and fantastic burgers, however the fries really stood out to me as the best French fries I’ve ever had in my life I think. Desserts were amazing too. Wish I could give 10 stars for this blessing to our community”
“It was my first time getting an iced drink from Dunkin along with some doughnuts! The Mocha Frozen Coffee was delicious. Much like a milkshake with caffeine. Comparable to Starbucks, but I liked this better. Their limited time Churro doughnut didn't taste as fresh as the others and needed more flavor. The Vanilla Creme and Boston Creme were great though! And the Double Chocolate Cake doughnut was pretty good too, but also needed a little more flavor. A plus is their rewards app. I've already racked up some points to put towards more treats. Which is necessary because with their prices going up, it's not exactly super cheap anymore.”
“Tried it both days at the strawberry wine festival and there chicken and waffles are excellent and well worth the money and the ice coffee is really good as well”
“The Lo Mein, the Honey Chicken, and the General Tso's Shrimp are a few of the most wonderful items on the menu. Packed with flavor (and, for the shrimp, nice heat), they really stand out as some of the best Chinese fare available anywhere in the area. Bamboo is a small, locally owned restaurant and they care about service and quality. Their appetizers, soups, and mixed drinks are also great and they run specials all the time.Vegetarian options: Practically anything on the menu can be made vegetarian, and their Vegetable Fried Rice is so danged good it even won this carnivore over to its splendid, vegetal ways.Dietary restrictions: Pescatarians, vegetarians, vegans...they can all find something to eat here, no problem. The same goes for carnivores, omnomnomnivores, and everything else in between.Parking: Bamboo is located at the end of a small retail shopping center and there is a plethora of parking spots, on top of a bunch of parking spots, adjacent to a whole giant mess of parking spots.Kid-friendliness: There's a bar area, plenty of tables in the middle of the dining area, and a couple booths on the outskirts to offer a little privacy. So, regardless of your party size and composition, there is absolutely a space for you and yours. They do have a couple TVs but never play anything family inappropriate.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap spots, sidewalks, ramps, and double doors.”
“LOVE THIS LOCATION!! The employees are extra nice! They are very personable, always remembering your name & favorite drink! And biggest plus is...SUPER fast. Fastest Starbucks I have ever been to!”
“Placed an order to go. I got triple delight, steamed dumplings, and an egg role. Everything was very good! The lady that took my order was really nice as well. I only had to wait about 10 min. for my order to be cooked. They were very busy that night. I was very pleased.”
“This Subway is the BEST! All the employees are always super friendly and happy to assist you. The subway a short drive away in Short Pump always leaves me regretting going there, as the employees aren't ever friendly. I will ALWAYS drive to this Subway! Thanks!”
“Walking so surprised @ how much space. Great vibes for meet ups with family & friends & much more. The server was welcoming & made sure our dining experience was professional restroom was clean & well stocked.”
“We were seated right away. Server came quickly..my hubby does not like spicy foods. The salsa was too spicy for him, the server went back and got him salsa that was not spicy. The guacamole was tasteless. The beef in the taco salad was really salty.I will go back, but they were not completely on point tonight.”
