In contention for top pizza spot in Richmond, definitely in the Church Hill area. I have done the standard cheese pizza, and Detroit style pizza from here, and both are great. They are also one of the only places in Richmond that do soft-serve ice cream!For a pizza spot to be good for me, the cheese pizza has to stand on its own without any toppings. That is definitely the case here. The cheese, crust, and sauce were all great, and the pizza was not too heavy. The Detroit style was the same way, but is a heavier and thicker pizza. I really liked the crust / edges of the Detroit style. It also reheated well as we could not finish it the same day we got it. If I was to finish the whole pizza (with a group) at time of ordering, I would do the regular cheese pie, and if I wanted to get a pizza to have some leftover and reheat during the week, would do Detroit style.The soft serve ice cream is also good too. Perfect to grab during the summer and have during/after a Libbie Hill sunset, which is just 2 blocks away!Would definitely recommend and will return!

The website is hit or miss with being able to order ahead, but customer service is great when you're there. This is some of the best pizza in Richmond. Would highly recommend the marinated mushrooms as a topping and the meatballs have tons of flavor. Added bonus is the soft serve ice cream.

I've heard good things about this pizza place and I finally got the chance to try it. We called and ordered a margarita pizza to go, and I was pleasantly surprised at the size and taste.This pizza tasted fantastic. I figured it would be good, but it was some of the best margarita pizza I've had in a while. It's a cute little pizzeria on the corner of a street in Church Hill. I love that it's a small little shop in a neighborhood. It makes it convenient for picking up pizza on a weeknight.

Went and picked up a pizza for doordash and while I was waiting I asked if they sold single slices as it smelled great and I was starving. Sure enough they did. Both my step son and I had a slice. The slice is really like 2 big slices put together. The pizza was delicious. The crust was the right kind of crunch and chewy as well. Definitely recommend this pizza place for great NY style pizza.

The Detroit style meatball pizza is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Highly recommend it. Great family run business that also has really good soft serve.

Not sure why it took us so long to order from Anthony’s but it’s hands down the best pizza in Church Hill! Not only was the pizza delicious but the cheesy garlic bread was also top notch!! HIGHKY recommend!

I tried the baked ziti and the vanilla soft serve. The baked ziti was wonderful and filling. One of my favorite Italian restaurants I have tried. The soft serve was so creamy and delicious. The ice cream cone was THE BEST I have ever had. If you are near Richmond you must try this!!!

Broooooo their custard is top tier?I drive from the west end all the time just for some ice cream. They’re currently on a waitlist for waffle cones but it doesn’t even matter because it’s that good. The small was perfect size ✨I’ve also had their garlic bread and let me just say it is TOP TIER OMG. I’d come visit just for some bread and custard ?
No delivery despite what their online order site says. Also, you can view the online menu which shows pasta dishes and subs, but these items don't show up on the ordering page thus rendering the online ordering useless. Pizza is mediocre at best but my husband likes it.

Went yesterday for our first time and it was so so good! I got the pesto pasta with garlic bread and a small custard swirl with sprinkles, and my husband got a calzone with mushrooms, olives, and arugula. We loved our meal! I loved the fact that the pesto was so fresh and not at all overly creamy like most places. It was more than enough and needless to say I haven’t finished it yet a day later. My husband said his meal was really great, and the marinated mushrooms was excellent. The garlic bread was so fresh and you could taste the fresh garlic. The custard was delishlous and I understand why everyone says get it! Will definitely be back as we can’t wait to try other things on the menu.Also, the staff was extremely friendly, warm, and helpful. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So glad I finally made it to Anthony's on the Hill. We ordered take out, and received friendly service when we showed up!In addition to delicious pizza, we also ordered banana cream pudding parfaits, with the swirl soft serve, and it was honestly heavenly. I'd go back again just for that sweet treat.I'm Excited to make this my local pizza spot!

I will say this place smells fantastic and they had a wonderful constant stream of pickup orders. However they do not have dine-in at this time and as we drove half an hour to meet a friend here it was upsetting. I was able to sit in one of their waiting seats which is noteworthy as I am handicapped and this building is not wheelchair accessible as there is a step to get into the building.

Love, love, Love. A wonderful neighborhood restaurant that's also a destination if you're not local. The meatball & pepperoni pizza cannot be beat, and the pasta dishes absolutely should be checked out. Add soft-serve ice cream or banana pudding for dessert, what's not to love?
