A gem! (Pun not intended, but I'm leaving it.) Truly GOOD gluten free bread instead of "the usual" cardboard stuff. I've even had their cheese plate with gf bread subbed in for the crackers and it was wonderful! Highly recommend any sandwich they make--all delicious. Ingredients are very fresh and high-quality. Really nice people, too.
Best sandwich I've ever had (the colonel, but with the cucumber spread substituted instead of tiger sauce). Small place in a historic building. Lovely service.
Got the mint lemonade (so nice on a hot day), the manny and the haberdasher sandwich (smoked salmon) also got two pieces of the blackberry pie to go! Everything was awesome! Friendly staff, quick and delicious food! Definitely will be back!
I want everything on the menu! I've not had anything I haven't loved from the menu here. I'll keep trying not to order too much. But those pies... Generous servings, fresh food, delicious!
Food was alright but nothing special. Slow service but nice people. Cute location. Single stall gender neutral bathroom available.
Every time I visit Garnett's I love it even more. The cutest little sandwich shop nestled on the corner of Park and Meadow - It's truly a Richmond charm when it comes to unique sandwiches and I absolutely adore the homey decor inside I've been craving a good sandwich and there's nowhere that satisfies like Garnett's. The portions of meat, condiments and toppings in each sandwich is just right to where you literally get a perfect bite every. single. bite. Unbeatable!! Make sure you save some room for a piece of cake because they are to dieee for & For all you love birds out there - You can rent a picnic basket and order the "Date Night" (2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $30) to enjoy at a small park across the street!
Love this place! Hole in the wall with great sandwiches! My SO and I come here for date night all the time.
I hate I didn’t get a slice of one of the cakes on the counter! ??♀️! So here’s my review. Get the chicken salad sandwich! That was amazing and the portions are big! The vibe inside is super cute! Loved the framed pictures and furniture! The lady who was our waiter was super nice! The only super minor complaint we had was the lemonade. My husband thought it was super tart and sour. But do not let that stop you from stopping by!
Such a charming and quaint cafe in the Fan. My son and I popped in for a quick dinner in the midst of moving him into his first apartment. It was a short walk from his place. We were both delighted with the menu selections. We ordered Spinach Salad, House Made Pickles, & Louisville Hot Brown. To top off the meal, I had a slice of Gluten-Free Buttermilk Pie that was to die for (so delicious I didn't snap a pic before diving in). Great selection of GF items, including homemade bread, cake, & pie, which made my day! They also offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. This might be my new favorite place to eat Highly recommend and will definitely return. Check it out!
If you are in the Richmond area, do not miss out on this amazing local spot! Everything was delicious, and you can't beat the prices. The waiter was especially attentive and friendly. ♥️
My daughter and I were In Richmond for vacation. We were in from Louisiana. We found this place just looking for places to eat. These were the best sandwiches we have ever had. She had the MLT subbed with Tofurkey. I had the BBLT. The Benedictine spread was fantastic. The homemade pickles are sooo good. Everything was great. Customer service was great as well. Super friendly.
Every item we had was amazing here, but the absolute standout was the smoked salmon platter in their appetizers section. The components are similar to what you'd find anywhere else - smoked salmon, cream cheese (benadictine), capers, tomatoes, onions, pickles. However, the quality and flavors are unlike other places.Smoked salmon was perfect, not too salty, and abundant. Boston brown bread was a great texture - sturdy yet soft - and soo tasty. Their cream cheese (Benedictine) was SO good, creamy and cucumbery. And the homemade pickles were tart and addictive. Also, the hot sandwiches are cooked to perfection; they have a perfect crunch, as well as incredible flavor.100% will make the detour to stop by again when passing through Richmond.
What they say about the chicken salad sandwich is true. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was!! Perfect sandwich for a hot day (and we've had plenty of those lately). I also had the potato salad as a side but that was whatever. Cant say I'd dine in during COVID times due to the size of the place (very very small), but I'd still come back for takeout!
Other than my quest for the best margarita, chips & salsa, pizza and ice cream ( you only live once, thank god I compete in triathlon!), I crave great sandwiches. On our way back from a family wedding in High Point (which lacked for really great food), my amazing fiance found this place. We are big Richmond fans, especially for their great restaurants and bars. My gosh...seriously love this place. Not only did they have a little platter of halloween candy (post holiday) but the menu made my mouth water. As a vegetarian who does eat fish, i was torn. What to eat!!!
I ordered a sandwich with gluten free bread and the gluten free key lime pie! Great food, quick service, fair prices, and friendly staff. Very pleased.
