One of my favorite places to go. The food is delicious and ample. The wait staff is very friendly and professional making you feel welcomed.
Lots of food, cheap, bland food. Not bad, but def not great. Not the most friendly staff.
Great food and service I recommend this to kids and adults the service was great and we got our food in 5-10 minutes this was honestly the best restaurant ever!
After reading all of the good reviews on RVA Dine, I thought I would give it a try, man what a big disappointment, when I called to place my order I know I specifically asked for the baked spaghetti, and the person who answered said you want the Joe's special and I said yes if that's the BAKED spaghetti, I said, yes ok, I was expecting all of this melted cheese like they were posting on FB and everyone was saying how good and filling and it had these huge meatballs with sausa
Excellent service, good food and reasonable prices. Thanks Ashley!!
Awesome neighborhood spot with great food. You also won't find a more reasonably priced restaurant anywhere around. I've been a handful of times now and have never been disappointed. I went tonight with a friend and despite it being extremely busy our lovely server Michael who said it was his first day serving did a great job and the food still came out timely and delicious. Eat At Joe's!
Where else can you get French toast, a salad with a GENEROUS amount of feta, the best onion rings you've ever had, and a couple of delicious mixed drinks? I've yet to find a way to describe this place other than just absolutely wonderful. The menu is huge and despite them being a little busy when we went, the service was so quick! The food was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. I don't know how they possibly keep up with the large number of dishes they offer, there truly is something for everyone. This was my first time going and certainly won't be my last. A must go for sure!
What a fantastic dinner. A group of 4 of us went to Joe’s Inn for dinner and we were not disappointed in the least. Two of us had the loaded spaghetti dinner which was amazing and huge! No way can one person eat this in one setting. Another has the vegetarian lasagna which she fully enjoyed and the other had the eggplant parmigiana which was also very good. No one finished their dinners because the portions are very generous. The house salads were nice and crisp and the blue cheese dressing and house dressings were both very good. For dessert we had the homemade carrot cake (very good), peanut butter pie (very good) and the coconut cream pie (the best!). All desserts are homemade and fantastic!
1st time here. Came for late lunch/early dinner. It was amazing. Service was top notch all around and meals were great. He had veal Parmigiano that was as good as any fine Italian restaurant. I had chicken livers with baked potato & broccoli. I was blown away since I love them and you NEVER see them on restaurant menus. So good & we both have leftovers for another meal! Great beer & cocktail menu as well. All reasonably priced too. We will definitely be returning!!
Super hate to leave this. Regular for years (live across the street). Always ALWAYS great service until today. Went in with my girlfriend and was looked up and down by our server, with a VERY condensing rude attitude. Honestly, was the most appalled I have ever been in my life. Will never go back there, and THAT kills me.
2 visits in a row - for a personal lunch and a business lunch, and I’m not sad about it.I’m a pre-pandemic frequent bruncher at the Bon Air location with a large family raging from 7 of us to 21 with the extended family. The staff at this location, in this wild tale end of a hopeless pandemic, have been lovely and kind! The food is fresh and delicious. Everything from salad, to sandwiches, to pasta-like dishes - nothing disappoints. The food is reliably tasty every single visit. Definitely a “fan” favorite, pun intended.I appreciate the staff on 06/15 and 6/16.Thank you so much, I’ll be back when I can button my pants again. (3 days max)
My favorite place in Richmond. Love the menu, love the people, love the place. A simple, authentic, at ease restaurant/bar where the service is quick and friendly and you can relax and get a good meal.
Veggie lasagna- so good, so many veggies that blended well together. Pasta a la Rudd- had very little flavor and we left most of it there. Bruschetta- the topping was good, a lot of bread with it Portabella Mushroom Florentine- everyone enjoyed this, heavy on the balsamic but it was classic Italian flavors Staff was nice and they are social distancing tables as they are supposed to!
Popped in with the family after a day of walking around the parks. I was craving spaghetti so bad and this place was advertised as being cheap. First of all, cheap it was and with the sheer amount of food given was mind blowing. Second, even though the atmosphere is quite like a bar they were really friendly towards my kids, of which I have three little monsters under 8. The food was amazing and we had the sweetest elderly waitress who was so kind. It was a great experience and I highly recommend.
I must have seen this place a thousand times and never went in. One of Richmond's own true gems! A really old school place with proper seating and proper restaurant menu. You could tell a lot of thought goes into the menu and all of your favorites are there. Do the COVID, there was some signs asking patrons to bear with the staff as they gear back up. To tell you the truth, we received some of the best service we had in a long time. Please stop by and continue to support this wonderful place. The waitress told me that it's been around since 1955 and I can see it going for so much longer. Will definitely be back!
