All the dishes we tried were excellent and generously portioned! Shared the charred octopus, the special lamb lollipops, and the pastichiatho 22. Delicious! Finished with the dessert, ekmeth, rich yet refreshing and cool. Will definitely be back to try new dishes!
The food, atmosphere and service are all excellent! I like their Greek salad, dolmades and spanakopita the most!

Saturday evening prime time at 7pm, our server was great. The food was excellent. We both had current specials for dinner, Rockfish with pasta and an amazing salad with hazelnuts and oranges. We completely enjoyed our dinner and everything was hot and delicious.
Stella's was amazing as usual. We went for lunch and had decided to sit outside because it was a beautiful day. We got the tria appetizer and the octopus and calamari. Also got the pasta #5 and the special beef gyro. Everything was great and the service was amazing as well. We were too full for dessert but we took our packed up leftovers and visited Stella's grocery across the street to grab some of the awesome olive oil.

This place is one of my favorite places. This visit will probably go down as my favorite. Why do you ask? Along with my usual stuff I order, we were blessed with off-the-menu specials this time. Lamb lollipops were to die for and the oysters-let's just say I'm picky and they did not miss.
I was in Richmond for work this week and stopped by Stella’s upon recommendation. I can see why it’s a locals favorite! Everything from the braised lamb (meal I ordered) to the atmosphere, and customer service was wonderful. I highly recommend it!

We love Stella's. We traveled 2 hours with friends so they could experience once of our favorite restaurants anywhere and celebrate my 50th birthday. Unfortunately our experience was deeply disappointing due to the attitude of our server. He had a smug attitude and seemed annoyed by us right from the beginning. I am a wine person and I love to discuss what would pair best with the different dishes and give our friends some info about the Greek wines. When I tried to discuss the wine offerings with him, he would cut me off and just shortcut to general names - I ask - we'd like a dry white with lots of minerality. Do you have anything like (show him a picture of the last wine we enjoyed there)... "I'll bring you the blue bottle. We just call it the blue bottle." After 2 of those, we find out at the end of the night that it's $62/bottle. And later when we wanted to switch to a lighter bodied red, no discussion, no time to advise, just a curt "I'll just bring you a red blend." We ordered multiple appetizers and entrees and spent a very sizable sum on dinner, only to be treated poorly. Thanks Kona, you managed to ruin an experience we had been looking forward to for months. I spent the rest of the weekend apologizing to my friends and trying to convince them it's a great restaurant. And for anyone who wonders, I did add a note to the restaurant when I made my rez that we were coming from NC and bringing friends for my 50th birthday. Not that I expected any fanfare, but it was not mentioned and then to receive such smug, rude service - I know Stella's can do better.
Great food, great staff, but this was not a great place to take my out-of-town guests. They are older and the dim lighting and loud noise from the crowd really detracted from the experience for them. We went early (5:30pm) on a weeknight thinking it wouldn't be so bad, but we were wrong. Even with reading glasses, they had trouble reading the menus since the lights were so low, and it was incredibly hard to have any conversation because we had to yell and repeat things multiple times. The server was really great, and I'd go back with younger guests, but would definitely not have taken these guests there had I known.
