“THANK YOU VCU! A huge healthcare complex in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. Providing countless medical services to those in need. Speaking of countless, my story is only one of countless others. My story: Recently, my oldest sister (previously a nurse) and last sibling of four, suffered a massive stroke in the right hemisphere of her brain. Flown in a Life Star from a remote location eighty miles away as the Star flies to VCU. Immediately emitted to the Critical Care Center ICU. She eventually, gained from movement on her right side and very limited communication in about a week. Thou her prognosis wasn't positive, the medical care team kept hope and provided time for loved ones to visit and make peace. My daughter (also a nurse) and I were able to visit. The medical staff made sure every visitor were comfortable, informed, and able to spend as much time as needed to be with her. After about two weeks in the facility, my sister's final wish was to be home with loved ones; all with the mutual agreement with her husband and the immediate family. The Palliative Care Team assisted everyone discussing options and planning the next steps together. The Team was available as needed to answer and questions or concerns. Transferred home and under the watchful eye of family, Hospice professionals, and the Palliative Team, Barb was able to be home for a few more days. Rest In Peace dear sister (and aunt, wife, daughter, mother, grand mother, even a great-grand mother!). VCU we are all, including Nurse Barbara, forever grateful.“

The store is well kept and the ingredients are fresh. “They no longer serve iced tea! For decades, they made great iced tea. Both sweet and unsweet teas. This is a deal breaker for me.Parking: I came in with my crew and work trailer. I found parking easily, got in the store before 3 others, ordered for m y crew and got out quickly ,but withoutSweet tea. My only qualm today.Good service, clean, and mostly professional. The younger male employee was actively flirting with the slightly older female "Manager"'who seemed to be in charge did not curb this activity during my lunch order, but certainly waned with the next order that came in right after me. All in all, my meals were great. There is a time a place for everything. Please educate your employees. Customers and our children do not need to witness this behavior while ordering food.“

“My partner and I went there last night for dinner and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised at the AMAZING service we received. I did not get her name but the person making our sandwiches went above and beyond throughout the whole process. I have been going to subway for a long time and have not had a customer service experience like that! Hopefully the owners will see this and give them a bonus or raise!!! “My fiance went in earlier for lunch and brought me a sub home. I got the spicy italian with my favorite toppings. We live about 10 mins from this location. By the time he arrived here with my sub it was still piping hot, like it had just come out of the oven. I asked for light mayo on one side of the bread, some locations slather mayo on the sub and I find it disgusting. Whoever made my sub today did a fantastic job at meeting my wants and needs. To everyone complaining about them requiring masks are ridiculous. If you dont wanna have to wear a mask or prove you're vaccinated, STAY HOME AND ORDER DOORDASH. Blaming the employees or leaving a bad review bc you cant be a plague rat is pathetic. I thank this location for being mindful about the health of their employees and customers! “I want to give two thumbs up to the Subway in Hungary Brook Shopping Center. Needed to place a large order for a morning meeting. The staff helped me write out my order and gave me the exact price the day before I needed it. They were very helpful and courteous. The morning of pick-up I called to confirm and the staff was already working on my order. When I arrived for pick-up everything was boxed and labeled and a staff member carried the box out to my car. The sandwiches were delicious, and plenty packages of condiments and a bowl of extra veggies. Thank you all for the GREAT SERVICE.“
“I love this Subway and I've been to several in the Richmond area. It's clean inside, the bread, meat, and toppings are all very fresh. The owner and his employees are friendly and have a positive attitude. They don't skimp on the meat or toppings like many of the other Subways I've been to do. The owner is very personable and remembers his customer's names and what they order. That says a lot about a person in my opinion. I've always had a good experience there.Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options.My personal favorite is their Veggie Party footlong sub.“

“Im not one to make reviews, but this location is one of the best. The bread is great and some of the friendliest employees I've ever encountered at a restaurant. This is our 3rd year staying near by and using Subway for our Swimmer to fuel for his meets and I've always been impressed. One late night encounter had a conversation about my kid and the next night they remembered and asked how he did and congratulated and wished him luck the next day. We will see yall next year !!“
