I used to come here frequently and one specific staff member would always have something to say whenever I’d make a purchase, often asking me why I didn’t buy certain sizes when I’d buy multiple bottles, questioning why I needed different sizes (didn’t think it was their business) and not taking anything as an answer and basically forcing me to put it back and buy different sizes. Most recently, a friend and I came in, both of us younger men, and attempted to purchase three bottles. She immediately asked for my friend’s ID without asking for mine, despite me making the purchase. He is over 21, but hasn’t brought his wallet since I was the one purchasing. She told us she wouldn’t sell me the bottles because he didn’t have his ID, telling us to go to another location. We went into a different location and only I was asked for my ID despite making the same purchase. If you don’t want college age customers in your store, maybe don’t work for one right by a college campus. Highly doubt I would have had these issues if I looked a little older. I didn’t live 22 years to have this issue over and over, all that should be required is my payment and presentation of my ID. Won’t be coming back here, wouldn’t recommend doing so if you’re in the same age group. Plenty of other ABC stores in Richmond that will treat you more respectfully.

We came to this location with an idea of what we wanted until we were approached by the sales associate Kevin. Honestly, I never needed assistance when it came to a liquor store but so glad Kevin worked that night. How do I walk in with the idea of what I “think” I want and leave with what Kevin KNEW I needed?!?! Thanks Kevin!!!! Clean store. A little sparse but then again we went to the store at 7pm. Awesome customer service. Best I’ve experienced after visiting 50+ locations.
