This place used a scam to get our business and money. They use a website that is EXACTLY like Yen Ching on Hull Street, with name Yen Cheng, but they are legally Yan Jing. When demanding a refund they said we had to call a special number. My wife's a diabetic and had to eat, so took the food. This a scam that will work only ONCE. We called THE Yen Ching, it's a location they used to own, but sold. They are contacting their lawyers and I called Richmond Police, and will be talking to their Fraud detective. Real Yen Ching says this has happened too often. And that they can refund monies immediately. SO NEVER EVER use this restaurant, look at the one star reviews.

Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Everything I have had has been tasty and well seasoned.

The food was ok but they didn’t deliver my entire order. The first thing the delivery driver said was something about a tip. It was funny to me that the guy demanded I tip on the card but didn’t even deliver all of my food.

this place has always been a favorite growing up however as of late im not sure whats going on but the food taste very different and not in a good way. i dont know whos doing the cooking now all i know is they need to go find the old cook. each dish i had as of late has been fried to crispy and the sauce too salty to the point i cant taste the flavor like i used to and as far as the atmosphere i think they need to get rid of the televisions and go back to playing the soft oriental peaceful music they used to play other then that there service is still great i just cant get with the food anymore too crispy too salty

I read the comment someone wrote about tipping. You are so right about them when it comes to tipping. I was at the counter paying for my food and the young guy who is very rude at times, had the nerve to ask me did I leave a tip for my waitress. Very unprofessional. On another note, they are extremely prejudice, but trey to keep it on the down low. I have noticed, on several occasions , how they jiump to serve the white clientele, even if you arrived before they did. The on another occasion, which made me not ever want to return, they served bad leftover food. I advised the waitress of this and she told me that maybe I take home and eat it later. The food even smelled bad. I had ordered a triple delight. I was the first black client during lunch until several other black customers began to come in. I was sitting at the first set of booths as you walk in and the other tow(2) black females were sitting in the set across from me. One of the ladies purposely got my attention and asked me how my food was. I told her horrible and that I couldn’t eat it. They both said the same. I advised them that we should complain corporately and maybe they would refund our money. There were 3 other black customers in the restaurant who had not yet gotten their orders. While we were complying the young guy, who normally works the register was standing at the dining room door where the ladies whom I was talking to could not see him but I could. So I made sure that he could hear us complain. I could see him telling the waitress what he had heard. When the ladies went to pay, the waitress told her that she was complaining about her shrimp and made, apparently some other rude remark. The black female told her that she was lucky that she paid her at all. My son had advised me to stop going there because he never felt comfortable there. I will be taking his advise and stimming from my past experiences, this is not the place for me.

Called in the order. Spent about $100. Duck was dried out and hard. I couldn't even eat the legs they were so hard and dried out. The cabbage and pork had very little cabbage, and everything in the soup was bland except the broth. The fantail shrimp was overcooked and dried out. The vegetables had no flavor. The egg rolls were the only thing good. I don't recommend going there. I will never visit again!

Always come through for late night delivery. But the food tasted like Road kill. I was disappointed. Literally upset that the one time I tip the driver the food was awful and overpriced. Man I’ve given one too many chances.

I went here on lunch with my boss and some co-workers yesterday. The food was great. No complaints there. The server was great till the end. She was nice and even boxed my leftovers for me. At the end of my meal she brings me my check amd it's only $10.78. No big deal. I have her run it on my card. Here's the thing about me: I always tip in cash and never on my card. So she brings me the receipt to sign and she's standing over my shoulder. I sign my name at the bottom and hand her back the receipt and pen. I go to start reaching into my pocket for the $10 bill I wanted to give her because her service was great. Before I could even get my hand back out with the $10 bill she made the comment "This woman no tip." I froze and looked at her and as she's rounding the table she said again "This woman no tip." I grabbed my stuff and made the comment "Well you just missed out on a $10 tip." And I left. Her actions were completely unnecessary. If she could've keep her mouth shut for a few more seconds she would've been $10 richer. Never in my life has someone who was serving me made that comment. I always try to tip good because I've been a server and I understand the struggle.
