Two waffle houses within a mile of each other. After being refused service at first one, this one is in the middle of a shift change and they close the grill down so the next shift can start it up. Seriously? Outgoing shift can throw my eggs and hash browns on the griddle and the incoming shift can finish up. How hard is that? Customer service was nice, the staff was in a great mood, singing Xmas songs, laughing with others in the restaurant. There was great music playing inside the establishment. It was beautiful energy in the atmosphere.The Service was quick! My food was standard Waffle House quality.My only complaint is that I think the grill needed to be cleaned because my meats had this black charcoal smear and very salty taste from the grill. The cook, Jeff, is the best cook at this location. Our waitress was nice but seemingly distracted with her cell phone. My friend noticed how the distraction keep her from being attentive to us and to other customers. But she was nice.The place needed to be cleaned inside...their floors were noticably dirty. But the tables were clean.
