“Wasn't here for a very long time. Place looked the same as I remembered it, but the bartenders told me I was looking at a complete make-over. Well, now ?. But the thing that wasn't changed was the great service, friendly staff, and that rough-neck type of bar feel that Hardtimes has ALWAYS had. How do I know? I know because I'm a beer ? drinkin' ROUGH-NECK BABY!!!!?????????????????“
“We went to the Springfield location of Bob & Edith's Diner for breakfast. They have these big screen TVs that play the specials on a loop. We were interested in the Homemade Chip Beef but were dismayed to find out it was only available at the newly opened Manassas location. We were told that the loop they play of the specials is used in all locations. They should make it clear that the Homemade Chip Beef is only available at the Manassas location. Also, the design of the interior, with all the stainless steel and tiles, makes it very noisy. If your hearing is sensitive or you wear hearing aids just a heads up. Overall the food and service are great which is why we keep coming back.“
“Great food and service. Lotta breakfast dishes around $16, but portions are huge, and splitting them between 2 people is enough (but leave a larger tip.(the only downside is FOX news on large tvs. :( please consider putting sports or something instead).“
“A wonderful diner. Plenty of free parking. Tabletop jukeboxes (that work!), excellent service, and a variety of high quality meals ranging from traditional diner fare to organic vegetarian meals.Everything we had (a breakfast spread) was perfectly prepared. The kids meals were generous and inexpensive. Would highly recommend, especially for families looking for a hearty meal fixed fast and served in a clean, roomy environment. Great coffee too...Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu for every meal.“

“Metro 29 is a good place to experience the classic American diner experience. Lots of options for breakfast, plenty of space to seat (get a booth!) and attentive service (they will make sure there's always plenty of coffee in your mug!). Extra kudos for the Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck pancakes, my son just loves them. Parking is easy at the back of the buildingParking: Park at the back of the building, plenty of spaceKid-friendliness: Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes are the kids favorites“
“Wife and I had a day date without the kids and started with brunch at City Diner, based on online reviews. Had never been there before but I am extremely happy that we followed online advice. Wife ordered the French toast with side of grits while I had the pancakes with side of home fries. Everything was amazing, even for my wife, who is very sensitive to salty food; all of our grub was just right. I'd say the best item was the French toast, followed closely by the home fries (which included peppers and onions). Coffee was also excellent. We finished off brunch with slices of red velvet cake and cheesecake, also both amazing. Cheesecake was the perfect sweetness level, not overdone like many restaurants make it.Service was very friendly and prices lower than any comparable place near us (Ballston). Highly recommend!“
“This diner is consistent with their food and service. The diner is very clean and Not too crowded. It’s a great place to eat quality food at a reasonable price. I find myself going back time after time with friends and family. Definitely my top breakfasts/ brunch place. I love their French Toast every single “
“We had an excellent experience. Amazing food, great location, clean bathrooms, great atmosphere, very accommodating wait staff (Enko was awesome), helpful with kids, convenient parking, reasonable prices. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!! I also saw the staff walking an elderly couple out of the restaurant to make sure they didn’t get bumped around. Just really kind people.Dietary restrictions: Tasty options for our dairy and egg free kid.Parking: Garage below the building with 2 hours validationKid-friendliness: Booths and high chairs available. The booths are big for kids too. Kids menu that my kids actually liked.“
“I LOVE the executive diner. The BEST Greek salad around with grilled chicken, lemon garlic dressing, feta, and lots of fresh veggies and olives. House made soups are delicious and breakfast is wonderful! If something is not to your liking they will fix it! A cut above the average diner in freshness and quality.“
“If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Alexandria, Virginia, look no further than Beeline Diner. From the moment me and my sister stepped through the doors, we were swept up in an atmosphere that perfectly blends nostalgia with modern sophistication. The old classic music was so inviting. But it wasn't just the ambiance that made our visit remarkable; it was the exceptional service we received that truly set Beeline Diner apart. Our servers, David and Jeff, were the epitome of professionalism and warmth. David greeted us with a smile that instantly made us feel welcomed, and his recommendations from the menu were spot-on, guiding us through an array of delicious choices. Jeff's attention to detail didn't go unnoticed either; he ensured our glasses were never empty and our table was always neat, all while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. The food, oh the food! It was a culinary journey that delighted our taste buds at every turn. Each dish was prepared to perfection, bursting with flavors that are both familiar and excitingly new. The chefs at Beeline Diner clearly know their craft, and their passion for food shines through in every dish served. But what truly sets Beeline Diner apart is the seamless teamwork between David and Jeff. Their coordination and genuine care for our dining experience were evident, making our meal not just a dinner but a memorable event. It's rare to find such dedicated and enthusiastic staff who can make dining out feel like a celebration. In conclusion, Beeline Diner is not just a restaurant; it's a destination. Whether you're a local or just passing through Alexandria, this gem is not to be missed. Thanks to David, Jeff, and the entire team at Beeline Diner, I'm already looking forward to my next visit. They've not just earned my highest recommendation; they've won a loyal customer.“
“It’s been awhile but I was impressed,With inflation being what it is prices have been going up and quantity has been going down. I found that although prices were up at Denny’s since my last visit the quality and quantity remained the same. The service was superb and I would highly recommend this place for a good breakfast.“
“Keeping in mind it's Dennys so it's not michelen rated, it is consistent, good, price effective. Service was awesome! We had a cheeseburger (fries were perfect ..burger was good) ,classic Benny (they didn't use poached egg, but was really good) and country fried steak and eggs (hash browns were pretty good, so was steak and gravy)Wheelchair accessibility: 2 upfront spots only“
“The food was pretty good. Simple small restaurant, very tight once you come in. For the price you pay, it is a great alternative with regard to most breakfast restaurants.I feel the waffles were too thin. The staff are extremely nice.Parking: Parking available on the sides of the restaurant.“
“Ordered the chicken fried steak and it was delicious. The service is quick and the staff is a joy to talk to. I had a couple questions about the menu and they didn't hesitate to assist with anything I needed, even at 6:30am. Will come back and highly recommend.“
“Absolutely amazing. As you can see, I dug into my food before I could even snap a good picture. Service was awesome, GREAT people here. Polite, kind, FUNNY and very welcoming. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced! We will most certainly return!! Thank you!“
“Bob and Edith’s has really good food. I especially like the fish platter, chocolate chip hot cakes, and eggs with corned beef hash. It’s a great place to go at any time of the day, but especially breakfast. Very polite and professional servers. Food does take a little time, but it is worth the wait.“
“I'm on a mission to go to every Bob and Edith's location!!! I love this place. I got my usual - the chicken fried steak with gravy, eggs and hash browns and it was delicious! It was right off the hot plate. I love the clinking of cups and plates and the conversation white noise at diners, and this Bob and Ediths is no different!I want to point out the service I received here was the best. I felt so taken care of here even though I was eating myself. It just left me feeling very happy :).“
“I came into the use the restroom and to not be a user I tried to purchase a root beer the two girls at the counter at 10:00 at night were simply amazing they actually gave me the root beer for free they were smiley courteous I can't speak for the food yet but I am definitely going back there to try the food because the service and how personal and how special those girls were it's just amazing how congenial no wonder the place is always busy I'm going back for sure“
