“I was looking for a restaurant I went years ago and I was not able to find it however we found this one and we were not disappointed. Sushi was fresh. Flavor was on point and service was OK. The service was a bit slow at some points but it’s because the server was busy around the restaurant cleaning and attending other tables. Overall it was a good experience. I would come back to this place.“
“I Luv Teriyaki, located on Route 1, has rightfully earned its place as my favorite restaurant in the area. This gem of a dining spot offers an exquisite taste of authentic Japanese cuisine, with a particular highlight being their exceptional teriyaki sauce. Each dish served at I Luv Teriyaki is a testament to the culinary skills of the chefs. The teriyaki sauce, a perfect blend of sweet and savory, is the star of the show. It's rich, flavorful, and has a homemade quality that sets it apart from any other teriyaki sauce I've tasted. Whether it's drizzled over perfectly grilled chicken or mixed into a stir-fry, the sauce elevates every dish to a new level of deliciousness. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both new and returning patrons. Service is consistently friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time.In summary, I Luv Teriyaki isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that leaves a lasting impression. Its standout teriyaki sauce and the warm, friendly atmosphere make it a must-visit spot on Route 1 for anyone in search of an authentic and delicious meal.“
“Best place around here for some Japanese. I personally am not a fan of Hibachi, but their other dishes make it worth while. The sushi is technically the freshest here in the area, but when your competition is Umi and Sake, that's not saying much. Dining in is a lot of fun with a good wait staff and bar. Overall, the experience is very passable“
“The location is good, and the chicken teriyaki is fantastic. My only complaint is that when they first opened, the chicken portions were larger, and now they have decreased, and they put all this rice on your plate to fill up space. Parking is always very tight, so bring your patience. Pricing is alright but to little chicken and too much rice and one yum yum sauce.“
“A great little spot in downtown Fredericksburg - I was recommended Osan after getting a sandwich at "The Worst Deli" in a different part of Fredericksburg. I heard they split off and started their own place at a sushi joint, so we decided to take a look! The restaurant is small, but not in a bad way. It's a cozy feeling and it has a good ambiance to it. We were seated immediately and surprised by all of the options. The bar seems like the best seat in the house where you get to watch the sushi being made, however we opted for a table. We started with the Chicken Yakitori which was stellar and I would love a whole entree of just this chicken, that's how good it was!My husband is not a sushi eater, so he always goes for Chicken Katsu. He enjoyed his entree, miso, but was a little taken back by the salad included. This was mainly because we're used to the familiar ginger-carrot dressing that is usually included at sushi restaurants. He said it tested a lot more peppery and more like mayo than he was used to. Nonetheless, he still cleared that bowl!I ordered a Shrimp Tempura Roll which was delicious, albeit a bit small in the portion sizing than I'm used to for the price.I also ordered the Jaeyook Bokkeum, which is a Korean spicy marinated pork. I was happy to see more Korean food on the menu and wasn't expecting that. I was told it was about comparable in spice to a medium wing. As someone who moved here from Buffalo, NY, I would say it's a little bit less than a true medium. Enough to make your lips feel a bit warm, but the flavors were great. I would get more in a heartbeat if my stomach could fit all the meat on the plate they serve it on. It also comes with a side of rice if you needed something to help cool your mouth down if you like spice but aren't quite equipped to handle it.I always love to see what people order here while eating and it is overwhelmingly the bento boxes. Because this was already such a fantastic outing, I think that will be on the docket for the next visit!“
“Umi Japanese Cuisine is my favorite place for sushi in town. I wish I could say that my four years of being stationed in Japan lend credibility to this review, but unfortunately, they don’t—I don’t remember the taste of anything from 20 years ago. However, I want to offer a helping hand to those of us who want to explore the various sushi rolls but don’t know what they look like. Here are my top three favorites so far: The Charles Roll, The Surf & Turf Roll, and a roll that was on special. I also picked a sake that has the letter ‘G’ in its name, like my name. I had no other basis for choosing a sake, other than the fact that I don’t like it too sweet. The owner, Chen, and the team were efficient as always. My family and I also spend every Christmas here for lunch.“
“My Wife and I are avid sushi lovers and first ordered takeout as we were not able to dine in. Their sushi was amazing and staff were very courteous upon picking up our order which was very fast and efficient. After having their takeout we went back for their dine experience. The atmosphere was very on par with a sushi establishment with ample seating to the point where diners were not crammed in. Our server was on top of our order(s) which were very good and on point. Their sushi selection was very diverse, delicious and well presented. The other thing that got me was the variation of food they have available which is all included buffet style. Sushi, hibachi and ramen just to name a few were endless. So if you wanted crab rangoons you could sit there all day eating just them, calamari, same thing, ramen same thing. You get where I’m going with this. There is also a kids menu with kid friendly items such as nuggets and fries which our Little Ones demolished and they were endless as well. There are things like the sake that isn’t endless (understandable) but other than that continue on munching. The price is very reasonable considering you would pay the same elsewhere for one dish. If you are wanting a specific thing or don’t know what you want then this is the place for you. The one thing I would add and when you visit it will become apparent to be courteous and eat what you undertake. Help them stay in business in this fashion in addition to visiting their establishment because I plan on doing the same as this has become a new favorite spot for our Family for years to come. Enjoy!Parking: Parking is available all around the establishment and we were able to find a close spot easily on a busy time of day.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and boosters are available upon request. They have an endless kids menu as well which include child friendly options.Wheelchair accessibility: This location is one story with one curb. Doorways easily accommodate wheelchair access and a majority of tables easily allow for access due to height and location. Also the establishment employees an open floor plan with no close doorways or restrictive areas around the sushi buffet.“
“My new spot! Me and my family moved to the area a couple months ago and have been trying to find our new sushi go to and this is the place! The food came out in good timing and the sushi was soooo delicious. Very satisfying from start to finish. We will definitely be back soon!“
“It’s fresh, it won’t make your tummy hurt and the staff is really spot on most days, much more professional and service oriented than other local places. You can tell management has worked hard over the years to get their crew well organized and running smoothly.Personally I prefer a lighter hand on the sauces but the locals seem to love items as served thus I’ll leave that alone….?11 years and still my more preferred spot for Asian style cuisine.Lastly, the owners are hardest working folks i know, double thumbs up and 5 stars on their work ethic “
“One of the best places to have lunch if you work in Quantico. Had lunch here recently. Ordered Chicken Teriyaki Bento box and for $11.95 , you get soup, salad, rice, chicken, veggie tempura, 4 rolls of California rolls. Now that’s one amazing deal and it was good food indeed. Thank you.“
“Great food, great price, great customer service. By far the best sushi place for several miles. The all you can eat price is set fair, and honestly a bit cheap when compared to competitors. Would HIGHLY recommend this place if you’ve been having any craving for sushi!“
“Delightful sushi options, wonderful service, and we discovered a new green tea in a can that were in love with (Green Jasmine!)... Yum! The ramen was tasty, but we definitely preferred the sushi. Pictured are the Monster Roll and Marilyn Mon Roll... Just delightful. This place offers 50% off sushi on certain days and certain menu items ... Definitely worth it to check it out. The staff were all friendly and inviting, too!“
“Our party of 8 enjoyed our experience at Sakura. Our serving team, lead by Mariam, was very attentive. We promptly received our beverages and appetizers, and I was happy to have prompt response on my beverage refills! The chef was truly entertaining, offering his quit wit and humor. The food was perfectly prepared, and very flavorful, too. We will certainly be back!“
“My family went yesterday and we all agree. We had the best food we've ever had at a hibachi grill and we had the best teppanyaki chef ever. His name was Kim. He did tricks we'd never seen and was super nice. Ask for him if you go. :)Wheelchair accessibility: Our father is in a wheelchair and we sat him on the end .“
“If you are hungry and on a budget, eat here! This big box of chicken, noodles, and veggie cost $10. Box is stuffed and could easily feed 2 people. Food is carefully made and the back counter looks really clean compared to many of these type of Japanese fast food spots.“
“The service was great and the food was delicious. This was my first time there and we were celebrating a birthday. The servers were very accommodating and informative. This is a MUST visit and we will definitely be visiting again when we're in the area.“
“I first visited i ❤️ teriyaki the day they opened. Found them by accident that day. I have been coming back ever since. The food is excellent, large portions, and the owner john is very nice. My daughters, who are all grown up now, ask to go here when they are in town. So i recommend this establishment wholeheartedly.“
