“Was here for a business dinner on a trip to Virginia. This is a very nice restaurant and had a great time at this place.Tried couple of of their appetizers and ate their Steak for dinner.Steak was amazing was cooked to perfection based on my order.Very nice fine dining experience and would definitely recommend it for special occasions.“
“Food was good as part of restaurant week, but portions were small even for tapas compared to similar type of restaurants. The most disappointing was the dessert, it was more of a tasting than a small plate. Ambiance and service was good, just needed more food... so what did I do... go across the street and get some ice cream! Yum.“
“First time at Bazins on Church. We arrived a few minutes earlier than our reservation and we were seated immediately. Since we had an early reservation, it was too packed when we got there. Our server came over right away to offer water and show us the specials menu. My husband ordered a pear martini that he said was good, but boozy. I just had a soda. For appetizers we split the jumbo lump crab meat spring roll. It was more of a deconstructed spring roll with the slaw on the outside. It was delicious. We appreciated that he took the order of two rolls and split it between two plates. For dinner my husband had the Atlantic cod and jumbo shrimp over cheddar grits. He said the cod was a nice portion, but with only 2 shrimp on his plate it seemed a bit pricey and he expected at least 4. I had the blue cheese crusted flat iron steak with red wine reduction and garlic herb fries. The red wine sauce made the blue cheese watery vs crusted. While I know flat iron steak isn't the most tender cut of meat, this was pretty tough. The fries were good, but would've preferred them to be more crispy. We shared the broccoli frito...very good, crunchy with a nice kick to it. We will definitely be back. Nice place to go, great decor, with an upscale casual feel.“
“I'm writing this review after trying Big Buns Vienna branch, and the newest location in Fairfax (which still doesn't have a yelp entry at the time of writing this review). I tried the Classic burger, the Hot and Hefe, and the Shirlington Hot Nashville chicken sandwich. This is not your typical run-of-the-mill fast food burger joint. For the beef burgers, this place makes them exclusively from angus beef which makes for a totally elevated burger experience. I ordered mine medium and they were SO juicy and flavorful. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich (Shirlington) caught me by complete surprise. I didn't expect a burger place to sell such flavorful and truly hot chicken sandwich. It's not for the faint hearted, though. Order your hot sauce on the side and add it to taste if you cant take the heat. But don't sleep on this one. It tastes way better than at specialized hot chicken restaurants.I took away one star because the lower part of the bun gets very soggy and starts to disintegrate by the time you reach home. I would choose dine-in over takeaway for that reason. I hope they work on sourcing better quality buns or figure out a way for their buns not to get too soggy and ruin the nearly-perfect burger experience. Also, their fries portions are small compared to the price.Nevertheless, I'm definitely coming back for more flavorful burgers and hot chicken!“
“Great food and atmosphere. Our favorite was the French onion soup, gnocchi, branzino and apple pie (not pictured). Nice background music that was not too loud which made it easy to carry a conversation with a group. Worth a visit if you’re in Vienna.“
“A staple of Vienna, VA, you know this dive bar if you're a local resident or a sucker for cheap chili cheese dogs and beer. And that's what this place does. It knows what it is and hasn't changed since it's opening which gives it a special appeal. If you're looking for this spot to be a pristine shiny bright bar like Cheers, well, that's not it's style. It's a bit dark with the chess/checkered floor tiles with tables all around surrounding the bar area. But you do get a Cheers vibe with all the locals/regulars who stop in here for quick eats. As mentioned in previous reviews, all the servers are usually college students who make sure your beer is filled and you've had enough to eat. Eats start and end with their hot dogs, usually with chili and cheese if you're being proper. It's not the greatest chili cheese dog and sometimes you may wonder why you're ordering it. But the price and nostalgia always hit the spot and the taste reminds you why you're in here. Other eats I recommend are the wings (surprisingly good) and the fried zucchini (always eat your veggies!). Beer is either domestic or local brews that are Vienna Lager. Served in those classic cold mugs, the 80's-90's bar vibes hit once you pick it up and sip from it. Plus they are affordable compared to other places so that's a win in my book. As for other beverages, they have a serve-yourself soda station so you can get as many fills your stomach can handle. I make it a priority to stop here whenever I'm passing through Vienna and you should as well. Don't expect anything boujee; just enjoy a beer and a chili cheese dog here and call it a day. Read less“
“My friends who live nearby took me here for brunch on a Saturday morning and it was so good! Their hash with chorizo was so delicious. My friend's buffalo chicken sandwich looked great, I'll have to try it next time. Even the kid pancakes looked tasty. They had a huge coffee menu and the Mexican coffee and regular cappuccino were so good.I'd love to come back for a beer when it's warmer and not raining! It looked like a fun place to hang out.“
“So, I did something super risky. I ordered chicken wings at a burger place; and one I had never been to before. I don’t know if Foster’s is known for their “charburgers,” but I am so glad I took the risk. Their chicken wings are some of the best I’ve had in a long time! Bone-in traditional buffalo. Try it! French fries are amazing too!“
“My friends that live nearby brought me here because the food is good and they said it was great with their two young kids. They were so right! The beer menu had some interesting things like their current seasonal sour. The French dip sandwich was huge and so flavorful, I really enjoyed it. The fries were great. I could have eaten about half the menu and been happy so hopefully one day I can go back and try something else. This place was perfect for young kids, with an $8 kids menu. They brought out plastic cups with lids for the kids, as well as menus and crayons before we had even finished sitting down. The kids meals also came out quicker than ours and it kept them entertained. They've really thought of how to make this easy for parents.I thought it was a great experience overall.Kid-friendliness: This place was perfect for young kids, with an $8 kids menu. “I like that the menu rotates, this keeps things fun and fresh. The venue itself is pretty small, but cozy. The restaurant has a high class atmosphere with big plates, small serving sizes, and artful topping displays. The drinks took a while to come out, but the food arrived quickly, especially given the size of our party. I enjoyed the Cosmo and Wanda cocktail. The thyme syrup is a unique addition. My scallops and halibut were both cooked perfectly! They did a better job than many seafood restaurants in this respect. The sunchoke basil puree was delicious on the scallops, they were some of the best that I've ever had. But the fish needed to be seasoned, it was too bland. I saw other reviews mentioning delicious bread. We were not offered any, but this would have helped add to the meal. Bread or more substantial sides (instead of the toppings) are definitely needed, since the portions are on the smaller side. The carrot cake was pretty sweet, but a good way to end the meal. I loved the citrus crumble and the frosting. Next time I want to try one of the more exotic menu items.“
“I love Great American Restaurants and can always count on Patsy's American for a perfect casual dining experience. The comfortable seating and airy space with high ceilings give us a unique experience that other restaurants don't provide. The food, drinks, and desserts are always perfect; even a simple hot fudge sundae is delicious at this restaurant. Nothing can go wrong when we dine at Patsy's American.Parking: Although the restaurant has a parking space in front of the premises, it fills up quickly. An adjacent free parking garage is available.“
