I visited this restaurant on Saturday March 23rd 2024. I was in town celebrating my birthday. The food was superb and so were the drinks. I had shrimp and grits and green apple mimosas. My girlfriend had the breakfast burrito and green apple mimosas. She said her food and drinks were also superb. I can’t wait to go back for a visit.

Great service and fantastic food. The shrimp and grits were full of flavor, and they did not skimp on the shrimp. My bloody mary was a meal in itself so Get ready to spend all your calories here, but it will be worth it.

It was our first time eating there and was very disappointed the food was hard and had absolutely no taste at all now the orange juice was freshly squeezed and was delicious and so was the apple juice we will not return

Great location on Laskin Road. This is a one of the locals favorite spots. Great atmosphere and food. Extremely busy! Usually 20 minutes wait time. Only negative is the automatic 18% gratuity.

I am currently inside this location having brunch. As with many restaurants they are playing music; however, any time an African American artist comes on the song is quickly changed. I preferred this location over the Shore Drive location, but after this I don’t see myself as a customer of this establishment. Good drinks, good food, good overall customer service but this incident has completely changed my perspective of this establishment.

Bay Local Eatery is hands down one of the best restaurants in Virginia Beach! If you're looking for a local establish that dishes out consistency whenever you go out, look no further. Their menus hold up against the test of time and can be seen by example of their faded font. For me: it's "da club" or the "big country" that will do it for me.Da Club is a GIANT club sandwhich with smoked turkey, VA ham, Applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss and cheddar cheese with mayo and a spicy ground mustard. *my mouths watering just doing this write up!* The Big Country is a fried chicken breast, bacon, 2 eggs any style, and cheddar cheese on a buttermilk biscuit- served with a side of sausage gravy and your choice of tots or home fries. *please see attached picture*In closing, bay local's relaxed vibes paired with their friendly attitude and delicious meals sounds like they are going to keep the locals happy for some time. Food, Service, and Atmosphere are all 5 stars, but parking and wait time are where I have to deduct. If you have time to wait up to an hour, and you are able to park without getting yelled at by the Nail Salon or taking up a spot reserved for the other businesses (something I don't understand), then you will enjoy your meal 100%.Parking: There is not enough parking to meet the needs of the shopping center, and there is nowhere to park on the street or nearby.

I had a wonderful brunch at Bay Local Eatery on Laskin Road. The menu had a lot of variety, from classic breakfast dishes to seafood specialties. I ordered the crab cake benedict and it was delicious. The crab cakes were fresh and flavorful, and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and tangy. The portion was generous and satisfying. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a cool decor and a great selection of music. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made me feel welcome and appreciated. I would definitely recommend Bay Local Eatery to anyone looking for a great brunch spot in Virginia Beach. They are the best!
