Great flavor with the tiniest bit of heat to the jerk chicken. Stopped here to get a quick bite as I headed home from out of town. There's plenty of free parking and the place was very clean inside. The cashier was very friendly. I got the jerk chicken, which came with rice and beans, cabbage, and a single plantain. That would be my one negative is that there was only one slice of plantain. Other than that, the food was great. Tender. Flavorful. Adequate amount.
Jamaican Chinese gyaal here…I know good Jamaican food and this place is not it, but if you don’t want to cook or hike to better Yardie restaurants in MD or DC, Irie will suffice. Hubby and I have been here a few times and eat time the food taste different (we order the same thing each time curry and jerk chicken & curry goat). My 1st review was 3 years ago when I stumbled across Irie! & 3 Years later their food is still consistently good! The staff is kind, the food is always fresh. I’ve added a couple more pics of the curry chicken roti and brown stew chicken. If I lived closer I’d literally be there once a week.
