“My son and I ate here Easter night. It was FABULOUS! It had a very cool vibe and the people working there were outstanding, so friendly. Our server, forgot her name (SORRY), was terrific. Great suggestions, attentive but not overly so. The owner Matt was just as nice. Introduced himself, wanted to know how everything was, and thanked us for stopping in. But most importantly - the food and drink. WOW. We were both starving and hadn't eaten all day,so we shared many small plates.....bread, the Basket of French Fries - Melt-em-down, the ham plate, chilled beets and mushroom tartine. All terrific, but we both said the mushroom tartine was our favorite. We ordered potato gnocchi and arctic char for our dinners. Amazing. For the amount of food we ordered, we weren't stuffed, as the portions were just the right size. The arctic char had a maple beurre blanc sauce that was out of this world, so good, I used a spoon to make sure I got every drop! We shared a smallish scoop of pistachio ice cream layered with chocolate chards - just the right size for a sweet bite after dinner. All in all, one of the best restaurants I've been to in while, anywhere, but definitely the best in Burlington. Oh, and the cocktails......divine! Thank you! Can't wait to come back.“
“Was so hungry, forgot to get a quick pic.Great place for a quick bite, nice staff, fast service, amazing example of an American mom & pop burger spot.Tater tots cooked to perfection, golden and crispy shell. I can go back for another Texan Burger!!Sides like tomato, lettuce onions are not included, you might have to request to add.“
“I couldn’t even finish my food before writing this! You have to appreciate the true art of sandwich making and overcome the fact that good food (even sandwiches) takes more than 30 seconds to put together! I waited no more than 10 minutes for one of the best sandwiches of my life, in a wonderful atmosphere with lovely staff. Thank you!“
“Really good roast beef sandwich. Pricing is a little steep, but in line with other prices in the area, and you get more meat than average. I usually get a roast beef sandwich with cheddar and various vegetables. It's often a little bready, but pretty good. I recommend the english mustard if you *really* like horseradish. Its intensely spicey, but really flavorful. I usually ask them to apply it only lightly. They used to have a combo deal with a fountain drink, but when I asked them about it they told me just to grab a drink from the fridge; I grabbed a monster energy which is taking advantage of that lol, but they didn't say anything. The staff are friendly (gave me a friendly warning about the mustard) and move through a line super quickly. I haven't ever had the fish and chips, but it looks and smells good. They have plenty of seating area and its nice enough I've chosen to eat my sandwich there a couple times. They have plenty of parking and its easy to access. Best sandwich I've found in the area without considering price. In summation, the ingredients are quality, the sandwich has good ratios, and the staff are friendly, but it's not an out of this world sandwich.“
“The food was amazing, we are here on vacation and don't get smoked meats like this around home so whenever we find a place that does it we try it. And it was delicious! Where we were sat was a bit loud but it didn't deter much from the time. Highly recommend!!Dietary restrictions: I let the waitress now of my dietary restrictions and she was able to point out clearly on the menu what was on for me and what was not, it helped a bunch!“
“Went to this diner after long hours of road. We were hungry and got what we craved: hamburgers. They were good but not the best burgers I've eaten. However, the fries were delicious (could've snacked endlessly on them). The atmosphere was great but we were seated next to the toilets... Also, the food took a good 40min to come.“
“Wow my sandwich was delicious, Steak & Eggs, the steak melted in your mouth, the bread crispy and soft inside. Very fresh and homemade, I would go back. Only downside, there is not much room inside and for a very cold day and a tourist on a walking tour wished to be able to sit down but had to wait several minutes for a table despite the long wait for the sandwich, but the wait was worth it!“
“One of the best dinners I've had in Burlington, all the dishes had balanced flavors and good sauces. The cinnamon girl mocktail was great if you love sour things which we did. 50$ a person and we each Got a drink. 4 plates was enough for us but 5 for hungrier people.“
“Amazing views and fantastic food. The clam chowder was full of clams and had a wonderful flavor, the lobster roll was amazing and super fresh tasting with a fair amount of lobster for the $30 price tag, and the maple ham wrap was super delicious. Additionally, they have a great little shop with some local products which makes it easy to grab souvenirs for friends and family!“
“I had to do a stop over for breakfast and found this cute shop. The lady at the counter was so courteous and assist me in ordering the perfect sandwich.. I had the grilled self made roast beef sandwich. All the workers there were so nice.. I will definitely becoming back... love my coffee needed it bad.“
“We simply couldn't figure out why the daily planet did not have a higher ranking on Yelp. We had delicious sandwiches (steak and tofu) with fries on a busy Friday night - great service - great staff - we didn't see Clark and Lois.“
“Crab dip special was fantastic, french onion soup was delicious, braised short rib was tasty. Portions were a little small for the price but the taste is worth the value. (We liked the chocolate mousse too!) Would reccomend! Service was friendly and fun!“
“Great food! Salmon was perfect and well seasoned and their burgers are perfect! Great place to stop when strolling through downtown Burlington. Extensive beer wine and cocktail menu as well. Their outside patio is perfect.. Heated for when it's just a tad too cold! This was the perfect place for us to stop after the eclipse for a bite to eat! Wait was a little long but considering the number of tourists like us in town understandable.Vegetarian options: Many pescitiarian options and black bean burgers and other items.“
“Came across this in Burlington next to the lake as we were coming to get beers at Foam Brewers. Deep City is their concept restaurant in the same building, with a bigger food menu. It has some pretty impressive things. A lot of it's meaty but not all of it. There's plenty of plant based choices that replicate the meaty stuff. After seeing this place open we changed plans and went here instead. It's a fancier looking place than the brewery next to it. The prices unfortunately reflect this. It's about $16 for typical items. They got rid of the half portions they had, and now only have the bigger more expensive ones. Boo. There's plenty of plant based options including the Vegan Poutine. Looks a lot like the real item. This instead has cashew squash queso and maitake mushrooms. Good but expensive. This is the only big issue. For sure the food is good. It's just pricy, and they now only have the big portions. These may cost too much, but the good thing is there's plenty to get for vegans and vegetarians.“
“I know there are a handful of fine dining options in the area but we are so glad we picked here. Emma was our server tonight and she was excellent. Take your time and enjoy a unique dining experience here. French onion soup. Potato leek soup. Escargot. Filet. Mud pie. All so good. $15 for 2 hr parking in lot attached to building.“
“Great restaurant for business meetings, or a date. Good service, decent selection of really well done food. Is a bit pricey, but overall a good experience if you wanted to splurge. I had the duck confit dish, was excellent. Also had the baked cheese and cheese and charcuterie plate for appetizer. The truffles for dessert are huge portion, 6 truffles the about an inch in diameter, very rich dark chocolate, would go well with an after dinner espresso. Other folks had the other desserts and it all looked very good.Parking: Parking rates depend on the time. If you go during middle of week and after 6pm, there is plenty of street parking, and it's free after 6pm.“
“Had a really great time here. Went for an anniversary and it was the perfect ambiance. Our server was very pleasant and nice. I ordered the arctic char and my partner ordered the market fish, and they both were delicious! We ordered the delicata squash and bread for appetizers and they were scrumptious! I was sad they were out of the clam chowder but will just have to go back another day! Would definitely recommend and I wish it wasn’t dark so I could have seen the stunning view of the water!“
“My maple latte and rooibos latte were absolutely delicious and very well made. There is very little seating and honestly its kind of cold inside, and the barista was loudly watching TV before and after making the drinks which I didn’t love. Overall, really good place to grab a delicious drink and skedaddle.“
“Fantastic wood fired pizza and other Italian dishes. The Caesar salad is delicious with anchovies. The garlic bread nots called "juggernauts" are delicious and great to share with table. The flat breads pizza are delicious, love the classic options they have such as Margarita pizza and supreme, but the buffalo chicken pizza is delicious! Devour entire pizza by myself!??“
“I finally got a chance to go to Arts Riot and am just sorry I had waited so long to go. It's a great place; a little quirky with a lot of interesting design features. The food is great, a fusion of Cuban and Peruvian cooking with special touches from an inspired chef. Check it out!“
“Easy 5 stars great burgers great fries although they are pretty greasy but there aint nothing a napkin cant fix 10/10 would recommend if you are in BurlingtonKid-friendliness: Kid friendly, kids can even go to the playground nearby when done eating“
“The place to go when you are in Burlington! I tried the "Toad in the Hole" and it was actually EXCELLENT with that apple chutney. Their fries are also fantastic. Nice selection of handcrafted beers as well. Service was friendly and professional.I will definitely return everytime I am in that city, you should too as you won't regret it.“
“This was the best restaurant we have dined at in VT. They have a large selection of meals that are beyond delicious and a great bar. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. Our waitress was amazing. She was friendly, well informed about the menu and very timely. We had such a great time and will he back soon.“
