Had an excellent experience tonight while enjoying dinner with a friend. Atmosphere and service was on point. Food was delicious. I drive through the area often, but don't usually stop for food - I would definitely take a break to enjoy a meal here next time I am in the area.We decided to share a bunch of different plates so we could sample more of the menu. It was a little hard to find this place because it's tucked around the back of the building. It's got a really nice courtyard and I would love to get back there in the summer to sit outside. We visited just to have a drink and a snack at the bar this time. They had a small tap list, but the beers they had on tap were good choices. We ate the housemade chips with blue cheese dressing and they were very good.

The bar glows. Quite nice if you're exactly the right high. What's nicer is the service which was quite par at 7 p.m. on a very busy Friday night. What's even nicer, the food was prepared rather tastefully, seemingly by a chef who cares greatly about providing a quality flavor. It's hard to find one who won't overdo a pear salad these days.. Thank you, Roots and staff for doing what you do!
