“Incredible tasting sandwiches! Highly recommend the spiced chicken and the beef! My son said the beef with Thai basil was the best sandwich he’s ever had and he’s 6! They were all delicious. A great addition to the expanding food scene on the island. Don’t forget the scrumptious salted choc cookies!”
“Seriously, when is the place getting a Michelin star. Best seafood place I've been to in years. Very low key atmosphere that doesn't do justice to the food.”
“I had the best time here as I always do. So fun to learn about all the amazing flavors and the process on how they make the ciders. Such interesting people and conversations to be had.”
“This place is great. The food is amazing and flavorful. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely come back, also we are vegan and there are so many vegan friendly options”
“Literally greatest Vietnamese/ any food I’ve ever had. Chicken Pho is insane ?️Next time I come to Seattle I will go out of my way to go to this place, as well as I’ve already recommended it to all my friends 6/5 stars (should be a landmark)”
“What an amazing little restaurant on a stunning island in a quaint town. We were very pleasantly surprised by the fact that it was connected to a convention store and were introduced by the owner to the menu. He explained some of the best stuff to order that day for the freshest experience. We definitely shopped before and after eating in the Italian goods so marvelously displayed as you walk in. The patio seating looked so cute but we sat indoors at a table we shared with another couple of ladies who we chatted up and adored. We will NEVER forget the MortaBella pizza and its extremely unique flavors of pistachio pesto, mortadella, all the delish mozz’s and crushed pistachios with lemon zest! If only I could recreate something like this at home in Arizona ha! But I can’t leave out the WOW factor of our shared Eggplant Parmasean. That sauce alone was noticeably a labor of love. The thickness and consistency of the eggplant was also by far the best I’ve ever had. We all lapped up the leftover sauce with any leftover bread we had. We dreamt about this spot for the next three days. Can’t wait to be back and soooo glad we found some goodies like my ceramic olive oil container to take home. Thank you thank you for such a memorable experience.”
“Was here on a busy sunny day on Bainbridge island. The moment I stepped in, the service was everything. The person on front desk was extremely friendly and immediately made the experience. The food was great. We shared the jojos, chicken buns and calamari. All of the food was fresh and hot. The calamari in particular was perfection! I wish I could taste a little more of the chilli but I like spicy. Overall the perfect spot for lunch if you find yourself on Bainbridge island. Would come back just to go to BaSa!”
“Best spot for wine, the owner is extremely nice. First time in WA where the person who grew the grapes, made the wine, poured the wine, explained and broke down the wine. This really helped me understand tasting it, as he was very honest, as I'm usually very picky. I love sweet wines, from when my husband was stationed near Temecula. His wines were the first ones I truly appreciated on a deeper level. In Cali you want a dark red sweet wine, here you want something crisp, refreshing like the breeze. The taste of his wine literally grounds you to Earth, and the elements around you, captivating and capturing it all in a bottle. This is very hard to do, to embed a flavor into someone's memory. Every other winery around has the excuse of it not being hot enough for sweet wine, causing an awful bitter wine. His is the only wine I've found in WA and OR, that has grabbed the natural tannins from its surroundings, and truly embraced them in a hug of flavors. Without using his surroundings as an excuse, he's fully mastered his environment, on the contrary to other wineries, who will literally apologize that it's not grown in California, and that's why it's "not as good". I believe any wine can be good, as long as it compliments its surroundings.”
“A Bainbridge Island staple, no matter how much the new landlord of the mall hates that fact and wishes they were a cocktail bar instead! Great food, service, and atmosphere, and a classic spot for a quick bite after school or during your lunch break downtown.”
“This is by far the best winery on Bainbridge Island and anywhere close. We love the wine, atmosphere, and especially the people. Alana, Armathia, and Forrest are some of the friendliest, funniest, and most welcoming people you'd be lucky enough to meet at a tasting room. We also just learned that the founder Matt is considered the Mouvedre King of Washington! They make amazing wines and are so welcoming!”
“I would visit this location again for sure. Purchasing in store and meeting their very friendly professional staff is much better than ordering online. Thanks to Alphonse, Tim & co. I will see you again for another great wine tasting next time we're in the area”
“My family and I dined here on New Years Eve. We appreciated the outdoor seating and its location near the heart of Bainbridge main street. The menu is extensive and ALL vegan! Many of the dishes are made with vital wheat gluten which is the main ingredient in seitan. The food took about an hour to cook since there were so many people ordering. We took advantage of that time to walk around some of the shops nearby. Once our food was ready, we enjoyed everything we were served. They served us some tasty dishes and the texture of the "meat" was spot on! Seating is strictly outdoors so plan accordingly. Also, plan to wait as it is a small kitchen with only one or two cooks at any given time.”
“Partly by virtue of the weather (cold, rainy), we found ourselves visiting this place at 1 pm (2 hours before opening, mind you) on a weekday afternoon. We popped in, noticed the hours, and quickly decided we'd come back later. Staff was so gracious, though, as they offered to serve us despite not being technically open. We were so glad they did. We spent a good 90 minutes there, enjoying a couple of wine flights, and some delicious cheese, olives, and prosciutto.Everything we were served was top-notch, and service was outstanding. Our server/sommelier was informative and personable. If you find yourself visiting Bainbridge Island, make sure to pop into this tasting room. You'll be glad you did!”
“The best Mexican dinner in the area! Such a great spot with amazing service and fabulous food and cocktails. You can see and taste the amount of care that goes into each dish. Four of us ate there and all four loved it. Cocktails were fabulous too!”
“The service is warm, cheerful and swift; the poke is amazing but my favorite is their Wgyu ramen...WOW. To their poke they also add this pickled eggplant (some might mistake it for a pickled plum). My son and I are addicted. Crunchy, pickly, with umami. Also my addiction? Their housemade Yuzu soda. All this and just next to the ferry makes it a unique experience all around. And even though the seating is limited and not fancy, everything is very clean and I love a place where I can sit and eat and go. The environment is great for getting in and out while enjoying the scenery. We live on Bainbridge Island. We are not in any way affiliated with the owners. We just love the addition and want them to stay forever! (well at least for as long as we are here!).”
