Definitely a great and flavorful experience , the setup and « interior decor » is not much to be excited about ..and the prices are « Bellevue level « $$$ but the food was just fantastic . Beet salad was ultra fresh and tasty and the swordfish was paired with a delightful array of flavors ! Will be back .

Great place. The food was excellent. One was the fresh King salmon and the other was swordfish. All finished off with a great cream bruelle. Will definitely be back. Ryan was the server and I would recommend him.

I'd like to start by saying I had great service while sitting at the bar. Great conversation with both bartenders, great service. For this experience, I would normally tip north of 20%.Unfortunately, this restaurant has decided to add a 20% Service Charge that 'Seastar retains 100% of the service charge.' Why would a restaurant charge 20% and keep it for themselves? I'd rather they simply raised the prices of their dishes rather than put diners in a bad position where I have to add 40+% if I want to tip the service staff??These charges are offensive and I will not be back simply because of them. Management needs to understand that what they're doing many patrons do not agree with and it seems shady.

I come here for lunch at least once a week, and sit in the bar. Tracy is FANTASTIC, so friendly and funny. The food does not disappoint, lunch options and prices are great.

Waitress didn't take the time to share about specials or explain anything on the menu. She also seemed dismissive when asked about vegan options. Scallops were a bit disappointing as I didn't enjoy the flavor

The Seastar has been a favorite of mine over the 15 years that I've lived on Seattle's East Side, but my impression after dining there last night is that the food and service has deteriorated. Has the ownership or management changed? I don't know if it's just a foodie trend or if they accidentally over-grilled the broccolini, brussel sprouts and asparagus, so that some of them came out as completely charred, as if I was chewing on coal. Just doesn't taste good and is probably rather unhealthy. The charred asparagus of course also diminished my appreciation of the King Salmon dish, which came out more rare than medium rare.
We showed up 15 minutes early for our reservation and only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. All staff was friendly and helpful. Our waters on the table never went empty. My wife and I shared the ahi appetizer and both had sushi, and the Crème Brûlée for dessert. All of the food was amazing. Will definitely be a return customer.
Seastar has long been our go-to restaurant for top quality seafood. The extensive menu makes it difficult to choose a favorite. We have NEVER been disappointed and we have eaten our way through much of the menu. Taste and presentation are top notch as is the service. For our most recent meal RD bent over backwards to insure we had a special night. Thank you, Seastar!

Nice restaurant! The food was amazing! Service wonderful. I had MahiMahi and it was perfect. Also the crab bisque is heaven. Butterscotch bourbon crème brûlée was delicious, although I like when the crispy topping is still warm. It was delicious nonetheless. Others in our party had jambalaya, salmon and steelhead. Other great desserts are the coconut cream pie and the chocolate flourless cake. Our drinks were wonderful as well. Overall impeccable!
Seastar is always a fantastic experience. The food was paced well and so delicious. Our staff was attentive and helpful but not intrusive. Still dreaming of the octopus and deviled eggs
